Overall ventilation in the living area is poor and no flow of natural air which makes it unhealthy. More windows or ventilation to the outside and also on the stoep area is essential!

Easily accessible from the airport. Everything very neat and clean. View from the room is beautiful. Would definitely recommend.
I stayed in the Room with a view. Beautiful view over Somerset, the Strand and Gordons Bay. The spacious room is equipped with everything you need, and there was even a mug of milk in the fridge to make tea or coffee. The DStv has access to all the channels and I was able to watch the rugby, something that is sometimes not available at top quality and very expensive self-catering houses and guest houses. Thank you for your hospitality Carla, I will definitely stay @ Abelia Guest House again in the future.
In spite of loadshedding Carla did all she could to accommodate my every need. The view is stunning and everything shows great care to make one's stay as comfortable as possible. If the price stays as reasonable as it was for what one gets, I would look forward to stay regularly whenever I need to come into town from Vermont.

The guest house is very centrally located, directly opposite a petrol station and a small shopping centre. The guest house is also very close to the airport, the Somerset Mall, Strand and Stellenbosch. The view is really amazing! Carla was an excellent hostess. She met us at the guest house when we checked in late and she was very helpful. Everything went very smoothly and we really enjoyed our time at Abelia's. We definitely recommend Abelia!
The view especially at night is breathtaking. Very quiet and safe. I should have booked a little longer. Time was just too little. The tranquility is heavenly.
Very nice and peaceful place. Spacious and well equipped. Good quality bedding and tableware. Has its own entrance and is completely separate. The view is really special - especially the sunset and the evening lights. Would recommend @ Abelia Guest House anytime as it is also close to businesses, hospitals and eateries.
The accommodation and surroundings are very peaceful and very safe.
Our room was upgraded to a room with a view of Strand and Gordons Bay at no additional cost. Was invited on New Year's Eve by the hostess to have a barbecue and visit - very homely.
After a long trek to the Cape, these were our first impressions of where we were planning our future. We were pleasantly surprised!

Ideal location for tourists.
Due to Covid, my sister could not stay with me in the nursing home this year as in the past. So we had to find an affordable place to stay. @Abelia met all our requirements.

We were really pleasantly surprised with the stay at @Abelia Guest House. The panoramic view was absolutely breathtaking. The beautiful sunset and the light show in the evening from the balcony (then with windows and sliding door) were unforgettable. The stylishly furnished room is spacious with all the necessary facilities that make your stay so comfortable. Good quality beds and linen. Our hostess recommended us to order sushi from the Spar across the street. A bonus indeed! We can confidently recommend the excellent and affordable accommodation.
