43 guests' feedbackA La Mer is a special place. If I have to stay overnight in L'Agulhas again, I will stay here again. The sleeper couch is very comfortable for an adult. It is even better than the photos show. Walking distance to everything, even for the unfit.
We absolutely loved our stay at À La Mer and Agulhas. What a lovely little spot. Our host was the loveliest and we hope to see her again for another visit. The cottage is very close to the beach and you have a lovely view of the lighthouse.

Big enough for two people, everything was very tidy. Could have made more provision for loadshedding. We should have made provisions ourselves for gas bottle and plate with boiler if power was off. There was also no light during loadshedding, we had to buy paraffin lamps. They might have catered for that.

Especially pleasant. Host friendly and helpful when needed. It was bad weather and the host offered us an extra day for free. Unfortunately, we could not make use of the offer due to other obligations. We consider the offer to be very positive and benevolent.

The location is excellent. Apartment was neat and has all the necessities needed. The environment is peaceful and we were able to relax. We would like to use the accommodation again at any time.
Our 2 Yorkie children were safe and enjoyed it as much as we did. Sea view and close to the lighthouse in Agulhas. Fair rates. Thank you very much - we had a great stay and will definitely come again! Here you can breathe, look up and smile. What an experience of natural beauty, sea air, waves, rock pools, long walks and an incredible swimming beach in Struisbaai! Agulhas and Struisbaai merge in such a way that they are experienced as one destination. Agulhas with its rocky beaches and natural beauty runs smoothly into a sandy beach in Struisbaai that is several kilometers long. Definitely a getaway experience to repeat as often as possible.
The location is excellent, we could walk to everything we needed, and it's only a few minutes drive to all the nice places to eat and hang out. Corrie and her family immediately made us feel welcome and recommended good restaurants and activities. The cottage itself is spacious, tidy and homely furnished and has everything one could need. From a flashlight to a grill, mosquito spray to nice reading books and plenty of extra blankets and towels. We will definitely go again!
It is a lovely spacious apartment with everything you need. The room and sitting area are completely separate so for 2 couples or a couple and an extra person is ideal. Animals friendly. Thank you, Corrie and Alwyn.

Neat, clean and fully equipped. Couldn't have asked for anything more. The little wagtail that frequently came to visit us for breakfast was the cherry on top. We had better kept that door open for him!
We arranged a tour of the Overberg. A La Mer walks away with the Oscar! Everything is walking distance. Thank you Alwyn and Corrie. The stay was wonderful and then the surprise for my husband's birthday. This was not expected. Recommend without a doubt. Our country needs more people like you.
The apartment is lovely big, neat, clean, comfortable and had supplies that we didn't expect. The view of the sea from the living room window was fantastic. We were 4 pensioners and enjoyed the stay. We only have 1 suggestion - the 3 steps at the entrance could perhaps be made a bit bigger. Us old people need a little more foothold - especially since the top step is not flush with the sliding door. Other than that there were NO problems.
Owners are very friendly and pleasant people. The place is particularly neat and well equipped with a pleasant atmosphere. The DStv and WiFi were not just a vague promise like in many other places, but were in good working order. The outdoor barbecue and meeting place is neat and cozy. In general, just a very neat and cheerful place that is furnished with good taste.
Doggy friendly so ideal. Ideal location, basic but clean inside and out. All necessary amenities indoors and outside. Great view of the sea and great to have Premium DSTV! Only downside was the WiFi wasn't working for the 2 days we were there.

The owners were very friendly. We had a great time, the kitchen is well equipped and we could cook with ease. Nice braai place outside and enough tables and chairs. Als was in working condition. Teenagers were very happy about the free WiFi. My husband and I had a really nice rest. Beds are of good quality. Nicely close to the restaurants and shops. We walked everywhere we wanted to be. We also felt safe in this environment. Thank you A La Mer.
There are some things that bother. The fact that the sink is in the toilet and the bed is not the best. The WiFi was also weak. Location is good.

It was very pleasant to stay there. Very close to the lighthouse and the tidal pools, clean and tidy with a nice view towards the sea. There is also a nice view of the lighthouse. It's walking distance from the grocery store, shops and eateries. It's quiet and peaceful. No noise, just the sound of the birds everywhere and the sea crashing against the rocks.

The place was pretty neat and clean with enough extra linen in the cupboard (just what a mother of small children might need) and kitchen facilities. The children could watch TV or just play and color on the floor in the kitchen-living room or read through the many children's books! It was nice to stay so close to the beach and attractions!
The place is quite comfortable. Shouldn't be able to braai there with ease, feel free to upgrade it... Braai is out of the question if the wind blows terribly. There is indeed full DStv. That's a plus. Other places require you to bring your decoder.
