15 guests' feedbackWe had a great time. Everything was right and tidy. Host and hostess became our friends. Very centrally located.
The unit was neat and offered more than we expected, i.e. towels, coffee, tea, sugar, milk, dishcloths, etc. We also had an awesome view and will definitely go back again. We were also central to drive to Knysna, George and Mossel Bay and surrounding areas.

It was my first time on that side of the world and it was a great experience. @ The Lighthouse was clean and the owners were more than helpful and friendly and always willing to help. I recommend @ The Lighthouse to anyone and they will see me there again soon.
We were a group of 9 and we enjoyed ourselves. The service is tops! Would recommend it as a place to visit.
We made our reservation the same day of arrival and were still overwhelmed with kindness and helpfulness. Doreen and Martin are lovely people, and chats were easy. We really felt at home, even my 22 year old son and 8 year old grandson were impressed with the place. I would stay there again anytime. It's truly a holiday home in its own right, as you are separated from the main residence.
The reception was very warm and hospitable. Everything was neat and everything that was needed was there. Quiet and peaceful with a nice view. We were 4 adults and 1 teenage daughter. Lovely beds to sleep in. Thank you very much.
It is very pretty and neat place to stay in. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Ek het lank voor die tyd bespreek en deposito betaal. Aanvanklik sou daar 6 mense wees waarvan 'n paartjie deel van die geselskap sou wees. Later is die getal verminder na slegs 4 persone. Op die dag wat die gaste sou inboek het die een vrou 'n aneurisme in haar kuit gekry en kon sy nie vlieg nie - weens mediese redes. Ek het die Lighthouse geskakel en gevra of hulle my sou afslag gee, maar is prontuit geweier! Ek het ook gevra dat 'n menslikheidsfaktor nie oorweeg sou word aangesien mens nie mediese noodgevalle soos aneurismes beplan nie?! Maar daar was geen! Ek het toe die 3 dames gaan inboek en betaal. Net om agter te kom daar is slegs 2 kamers?! Regtig? Moet 'n paartjie saam met twee vrouens in een kamer slaap?!! Dis belaglik. Verder het ek die lakens ondersoek en krulhare op die linne gekry - ek was rooi in die gesig voor my vriendinne! Die teëls is gekraak en daar was te min koffie vir 6 mense vir 2 dae?! Die agterpaadjie wat ons geloop het, het verby 'n woonstel gegaan waar 'n man gesit en rook het - elke keer het ek gestik van die stank van die rook! Uiters sub standaard en die foto's is baie mooier as wat dit werklik is!
@ The Lighthouse is lovely holiday accommodation that absolutely epitomizes a seaside holiday, the unit we stayed in, The Shipswheel is clean and fresh just as advertised on their website and the owners are very friendly. Our family had a great time living there.

We were received very kindly and were helped with luggage. The shower and pool were sparkling clean and the bed linen was crisp white and ironed. We only stayed one night to be close to the airport and the next morning when we were leaving very early, the owner was already up and running to help us. Very good value for money. From the swimming pool there is also a lovely view with braai facilities. Unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to take advantage of everything.
The place is really anyone's dream! Doreen and her husband are the friendliest people you can find and the place is really nice and clean! The kitchen is a bit small, but they still have big plans and what they have achieved in the short time they have owned the place is excellent!
It was wonderful to go home there. Neat, clean, cozy. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
