The third bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and the fourth bedroom with 2 single beds, both these en-suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. The apartment has air conditioning in 3 of the rooms and ceiling fans right throughout the apartment. The apartment has a separate TV lounge, an open plan fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, second lounge area, which leads onto a very large veranda with a lounge area and dining area.
Off the veranda area is a large private grass area, with 4 loungers and a 14-seat table and bench overlooking the beach. Double lock-up garage and outdoor and indoor washing lines. The beach is accessible via a locked gate on the property and there is a communal swimming pool at the top part of the complex.
The apartment is equipped with 3 TVs all of which have full DStv. The unit is also equipped with Wi-Fi, a gas braai and a Weber charcoal braai. The unit is serviced daily, except for Sundays and public holidays, this can, however, be arranged if necessary at an extra charge. All linen, bath towels, beach towels, beach basket, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, cooler boxes, buckets, and spades for the kiddies are provided. A camp cot is also available on request.
The views from the apartment of the huge tidal pool, are absolutely beautiful, the sea and the pristine beach, with lifeguards and beautiful rock pools. In season, guests will be able to view the whales and dolphins swimming by. The apartment is surrounded by a beautiful landscaped garden.

There were enough areas for everyone to find a space to chill. We swam, fished went for walks, painted, read relaxed, cooked and braaied! What a wonderful home. Absolutely loved this accommodation, in a safe and secure location, with direct beach or tidal pool access. Had everything we needed for a family getaway. Beautifully decorated and spacious.
The house was beautiful and modern with bright bedrooms and an amazing view of the sea. It is good value for money. I would recommend everyone who is travelling to Durban to book the house.
The accommodation is beautifully clean, spacious and comfortable. Everything you need in your own home is available there. The shops and places to eat are close by and of course the beach just a few steps away. A lovely holiday accommodation.
We were a large group, 6 adults with 2 small children. Unit was extremely well equipped with toys galore! Would definitely recommend and would like to come again!
We had a family reunion at 1 Marichel and couldn't ask for better accommodation with small children, right on the beach, lawn to play on and everything you could possibly need in the house. We will definitely be back.
Lovely place, spacious and equiped with everything you could wish for. Situated above Thompsons Bay, just a few steps down the garden through a secured gate with lifeguards on duty 8-16, perfect for the kids too. Unable to think up 1 minus point.
The apartment was nice and big and for the group of friends we were it worked really well. The fact that there are two sitting areas inside and then another outside means that there is enough space to hang out or watch TV, sit down and read a book or just lie down and be quiet. The view over the sea is beautiful and you can hear the sound of the sea all day long. Our unit has four parking spaces. We were also able to use the folding chairs in the garage. Only problem we encountered was that the power on one side of the apartment cut out easily when all the air conditioners were on; they were apparently busy watching it.
We have very fond memories of our stay at Marichel. The apartment is very clean and tidy and also conveniently equipped with only the best. The patio furniture is a winner and the sea is on your doorstep.

1 Marichel exceeded our wildest dreams. The unit is equipped with everything you might need and more. The unit is spacious and each room has a lovely en-suite bathroom. The location is perfect with the beach barely 100 m from the porch. The safety is excellent! We will definitely go again and stay longer this time!
Marichel 1 is a beautiful, comfortable and spacious place, with everything you could need for a wonderful carefree holiday. Jocelyne decorated the place beautifully and the service was great. We will definitely holiday here again.
