The room was small but spacious enough for one person. The host was very kind to turn on the generator to allow me to shower during load shedding. Much appreciated. The location was very good, close to all amenities in town.
This flatlet is a very tidy and lovely apartment equipped with everything you need. A spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed and an opulent bathroom. It was private and the environment was quiet. Just what I needed for a relaxing breakaway and I would definitely go back. It was immaculately clean and it was decorated beautifully.
On arrival we were kindly greeted by the owner and manager, Mike, who also lives on the property. The accommodation was neat, spotless, and well put together. In the kitchen there is everything from an air fryer to a set of pots — all with their lids — at your disposal. Furthermore, there are basic boxed porridges, enough coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and milk provided. The daily cleaning of the apartment, at no extra cost, is a definite advantage. Breakfast was available at an additional R110 p.p. and is sure to be recommended! The large plates of food, fresh coffee and many treats are brought to your room at the time you prefer. We were also accommodated with a slightly later check-out time.
We were very impressed with the cottage and how spotless everything was. Would definitely recommend it.

One on Ross is located in a serene part of Makhanda where one can easily go for walks or enjoy the birdsong from the b&b. The room was superbly furnished and spotless and I really appreciated the extras provided.
The cottage was very beautifully furnished. For the kitchen it would be good if there are scissors, a cheese grater and maybe some steak knives, and a cloth with which to wipe the counter tops. But we really enjoyed our stay.
Great hospitality. Host was very hospitable and accommodating.
A cosy little retreat, tucked away amidst the tree dotted avenues of a historic town. It offers all the creature comforts for the avid historian, artistic spirit and tired adventurer.
