Bakkie's battery broke just before Keimoes after 16:00 in the afternoon. Owners immediately offered help. Even before the shops could close we had a new battery. Children had a great time running around on lawns and were even able to pick and eat a small sweet apple from the tree.

The manager of 1050 on Bain was very friendly and so helpful. We will definitely stay there again. Hospitality was fantastic. The reception of the network in Keimoes was a bit slow and immediately he had us connect to their network so that we could talk to the children in Johannesburg, at no cost. 1150 on Bain was very neat and modern with all amenities needed and so much more. Very peaceful and has a large garden to just sit back and relax. Customer service and communication from owners was great.
The host specially sent directions in advance. Furthermore, he waited for us and made sure we were home and knew how everything worked. The unit is tidy, well equipped with spacious cupboards and also has a lovely veranda (on which you can hang out and barbecue) and garden with a large, green lawn, bustling birdlife, etc. The large gas stove with oven and spacious fridge is a bonus. Furthermore, there was attention to small details in the bathroom such as air freshener, hand soap and towel, etc.

The living area is so large the owner might consider putting a table and dining chairs there because the bar stools are not very comfortable. Otherwise it is very good value for money.

I would just like to make a suggestion that the gate be locked in the evenings for safety as the sliding doors do not have burglar bars.

Had largely no problems with the stay. Just one suggestion is that the owner might have to consider putting extra shade netting at the canopy, as the veranda gets full west sun in the afternoon which makes the place extra hot and is troublesome if you want to have a late afternoon barbecue. The braai area can also be cleaned ahead of time before guests arrive.
A good alternative for a visit. Kakamas is busy and Keimoes is quiet. Nice walk along the river and vineyards.
Our host was very friendly and helpful. We had a power outage and soon he brought candles. A water pipe unexpectedly burst which left us without water and he quickly brought 5 liters of filtered water as well as water for the toilet. Fortunately, the water pipe was soon repaired and we were able to take a shower. Through it all he just tried to keep us comfortable. I can recommend the place and will stay there again if needed.
