We had a nice stay.
We love the place. It is quiet and safe. You can add some blankets as it is winter now. We come from the northern part of SA, where it is very warm.
My wife and I had a great stay.
This was the second time we stayed at 1202 on Cowgill Guest Room. The only drawback were the neighbours - who partied loudly until 03 am on the second night. However, I do not think this is a regular occurrence.
We have stayed there a number of times before and it continues to satisfy. The standard has been consistent and the service discreet. A small problem we encountered this time was quickly resolved.

We had a very nice stay. The place is centrally located and the service was good. The studio (especially bathroom) needs some attention. The linen is also very old.
We have stayed there many times and the experience has been consistently good except for a problem this time (only) when we could not contact anyone to open up on arrival -- the phone numbers simply went through to voicemail. This was resolved about 30 minutes later when the resident caretaker arrived to let us in. The listed phones had not been routed through to him so he was unaware of our arrival. This can perhaps be improved going forward. Otherwise the stay was great, as always.

My 85 year old mother was with me at Cowgill Guest Room and we had a really nice stay. Lester, the manager, is an absolute gem, so helpful and friendly with the utmost respect for my mother. Definitely a winning hangout in Pretoria.

1202 on Cowgill was everything we needed for our visit to Pretoria, clean, safe, well appointed and quiet. The kitchen was small but adequate. There are two shopping centers just around the corner. There was a small table to sit outside in the evening.

Environment is neat.
The room is neat and clean. However, parking is a problem if you have a van or SUV. My wife had to get out so I could stop against the wall so that the other room's guests could come in to park. If there are 2 SUVs then there is no room.
I enjoyed my stay so much, I'll be knocking at your doors again. The guy who was cleaning our rooms was very friendly and welcoming. The place is also convenient because it's next to malls, filling stations etc.

We had brought a trailer and the hosts were kind enough to allow us to park it in their private off-street parking.
The owner was accommodating as we arrived late. The room is modern and clean. A bit small but big enough as we just needed it for a sleepover.
Lester should just please. in the bathroom slide open the shower door, sit on the throne and see how clean it looks from that position. Floor, under the sink and in the shower slide need a scrub. Rest of the room was sparkling clean.

We were very kindly received by the host. Room is very clean and tidy, with modern décor as well as basic toiletries such as shampoo and shower soap. There is a well-equipped kitchenette with coffee/tea and sugar, as well as a bar fridge and microwave. There is secure parking with a security gate, as well as plenty of lighting outside the room for evening arrivals. It is also located in a quiet area, but still close enough to restaurants and a shopping mall. We had a great stay, and would definitely recommend 1202 on Cowgill.
Room not ready on arrival. Poor service with the person on duty totally unprofessional. Did not even know about the booking. Do not book this venue. You are guaranteed disappointment. Nothing like the images online. There is a pool but not for use by guests!

After checking out I picked up my daughter from Onderstepoort, but she wanted to shower. I called 1202 and was pleasantly surprised to find that the owner had no problem with me coming back and allowing my daughter to shower. Very seldom you will find that kind of commitment towards your guest in need.
Room is clean and tidy. The host is very friendly. The bed sleeps very nicely. Just one problem, I booked for the Windmill room with a queen-size bed which is more expensive than the other small room that is cheaper. We were then accommodated in the small room which is cheaper with a bathroom without a door.

The communication between me and the guest house's owner was good and friendly from the beginning. I was received with kindness. The accommodation is sufficient for a single traveler or two people who only want to use it for sleeping accommodation.

We were very impressed with the room and the facilities. Everything was very neat and comfortable. I was just not happy with the 15 minutes we had to wait outside the gate for help. We were checked into the guest room by the gardener. More personal service would have been great as I read the previous reviews and saw that most visitors enjoyed personal attention.

I was once again surprised with the service of LekkeSlaap, you never have to worry that the accommodation will not be up to standard. This was once again the case with 1202 Cowgill Guest Room. The management was particularly helpful in all respects and I was able to enjoy a wonderful night's rest in a particularly quiet environment.

The place is exactly what we were looking for for a weekend away. Except for the basin in the bathroom that wasn't clean, everything else was fantastic, we will definitely come back again.
