Utopia remains one of our most loved destinations. Our stay at 129a was a first and we are not sorry we made the choice. The unit had everything we needed; it was so clean and neat, making it really pleasant to check in. We had such a hectic week and the special touch with the wine provided was a total blessing. We really enjoyed winding down on the stoep with the amazing view and very comfy chairs after our hike. It was a real benefit to have everything working and not once did we struggle with warm water. Thank you so much; our stay was amazing.
We had the most incredible stay at 129 A Arends Hoogte. Debbie is a charming host, paying attention to detail is what sets her cozy little self-catering unit aside from the average. She welcomes you with a refreshing bottle of wine (which was divine), accompanied by olives and of course that little something sweet that we all crave once in a while. The unit was exceptionally comfortable with the fan connected to solar to ensure your comfort even during load shedding! Her unit reflects the beautiful natural setting of the bushveld area. Debbie is a friendly and responsive host; assistance is on tap, yet you have total privacy and quiet space. Simply an awesome getaway, Debbie. Thank you for this super affordable and lovely experience!
We went to the Magaliesburg for the bushveld experience and 129A fitted in perfectly with this. The bedroom had the kitchen at one side, which had all the normal facilities. We particularly liked the large granite top and the two stools. There was no storage for clothes, but we managed easily out of suitcases. As indicated in the information write-up, there was no TV, but the arrangement of movies, text, music, and pictures on a TV screen worked well for us. The stoep was first-rate and suitably furnished, and we had all our meals there. Debbie helped us when we arrived, and the wine and olives were much appreciated. One negative was that there was no shade for the car, and the sun was hot. Some form of parking in the shade would be a bonus. We are elderly folk, but we managed over two days all the marked trails in the resort (We found information and maps on the internet). These were very worthwhile and completed our Magaliesburg experience. All in all, we look back with joy on three special and peaceful days in Utopia and our stay at 129A African Bushveld.
Was very nice, peaceful, clean atmosphere that just brings calmness over you. Would recommend anyone to go and we would definitely go again for a break away.
It's nice but very small. There is no small game like goats to see and no TV available.
We really enjoyed it. It is very private, and quiet.
