The guesthouse is well located relative to the schools and restaurants. I had good service. The bed was comfortable and everything felt clean. The showerhead in my room wasn't the greatest, but overall this is a good option for a school visit. There seemed to be some mould on the bathroom ceiling that should be looked at. Noise from the street was less than anticipated, and I slept well.
Note that this part of town is a student area as it is across from the university. Normal student loudness on weekends is there, without inconveniencing you at all. Some of them sing quite particularly beautifully. Everything you need to take care of yourself in terms of meals is there. Even a washing machine for washing clothes. Parking is extremely safe. I had a nice stay there this week.
Rala, the host at the guest house, is very accommodating and friendly, allowing us to drop our bags off earlier than check-in and showing us all the amenities. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the off-street parking was great. Very central and convenient, but with that comes the challenge of noise from the high street. All in all, a very comfortable stay. Good value for money.
If what is negative is noise at night from pedestrians in the street.
Well located, nice and quiet. : For the price one expects better coffee in rooms and in lounge. Warn guests in advance that there may be no water. Limited bar service makes it uncomfortable, had to go elsewhere to wet throats on our arrival.
Super chilled staff, we were very happy here. Location is perfect for any business in Grahamstown and secure parking is a huge advantage.
