The unit is close to the popular suburb, Langenhovenpark and is close to the BloemCare Psychiatric Hospital. The Pretty Gardens Nursery Centre, Greenside and a whole array of restaurants are close and the unit is just 5,4 km from the university's main gate.
Bloemfontein offers activities such as walking trails, skydiving, stargaze at the Boyden Observatory, as well as various museums, shops and restaurants. Guests can also visit the Free State National Botanical Garden, the Franklin Game Reserve, or the Hamilton Park.

Was very peaceful, rest for weary soul.
Perfect for what was needed on a busy weekend of water polo.
Although the place looks exactly like the photos and the room was very nice, unfortunately I have to complain about the environment around the room. If you don't mind a bunch of people outside your window/bathroom, this will be more than perfect for you! But I didn't open my curtains at all for a moment, it felt like everyone was looking in through the sliding door of my place.
Basic room but no complaints. Slept well and was peaceful. Recommendation: the braai area is far from the rooms. Would suggest that there may be closer facilities.
No hangers in hanging closet. The air conditioner does not work, neither hot nor cold. The television power plug is missing a connector and extension cord and could not be used. The place was neat, clean, and comfortable.
However, was very disappointed on arrival, had to climb over a LOT of cover grass to get to the safe where the key is given. @14 Bains we found the following. Bath unwashed and full of hair and sand. Shower extremely dirty (black mif). Bedding and room stink from the smoke. Have slept at Bains before but certainly not @14 again.
Room dirty with papers and other objects behind bedside tables and other furniture. Shower drain was clogged. Stand ankle deep in drain water. Shower head also clogged with about 3 jets of water spraying. Have to jump around to get wet. I myself went to get tools in my vehicle to repair the drainage and also removed the shower head and opened and screwed back all the clogged holes.
Dead headlight, broken kitchen sink plug. Parking area is further than indicated in photo.
The unit was very clean and neat. However the parking is quite a bit away from the unit and it's cumbersome if you have to park your car overnight. The security told us it was not pet friendly until we showed him the communication with the booking agent.
Very friendly and helpful owner, as well as staff at Bains Game Lodge. Lodge. Always great 5-star service at LekkeSlaap.

We really enjoyed the place. It is small for a family but a nice place.
The room and the kitchen area are in one space and feel very cramped. The basin has a large crack in it. The shower needs a scrub. The positioning of the TV needs to be changed as the angle makes it impossible to watch. A very busy place.
It was strange to find only on arrival about the separate accommodation apart from the hotel. Went to the reception and they knew nothing about my booking and only after I showed them my booking they handed me the keys and I had to ask how to get there and still got directed wrong. It was advertised on the web that facilities at Bains has WiFi ─ there were none. Basin in bathroom was badly broken, mixer tap was not working properly, no adjustable shower head - as good as an open pipe. No working TV for first 2 days. Breakfast served in the hotel was definitely a big mistake: cold food, staff did not make an effort to make customers comfortable. Nearby tea gardens serve much better variety at similar pricing. After speaking to the owner, she attended to the majority of the problems and was always just a call away. On my arrival in Bloem, she was courteous to give me directions to Bains. Taking everything in one, I enjoyed the stay, but it would have been better if none of the above defaults were present. But have to commend the owner that she was available 24/7 and made a plan.
The room needs a new shower head and shower drain cleaning, a second set of bath towels and bathroom rug, pot lid handles, dish towels, dish soap, and a second chair. TV reception and channels can be improved.
