67 guests' feedbackWhat a beautiful house, located in front of the bay. Lovely walking paths right off the patio. The decor in the house was gorgeous; we had the most wonderful stay.
Would definitely recommend it.
We had some nice days as a family. The house is big and spacious. All the bedrooms are private and the kitchen is fully equipped.
What an awesome and lovely house, perfect location for the getaway we all so much deserve.
What a lovely house. We had a wonderful stay, thank you very much. Fantastic location. We didn't even miss the TV - lots of books and board games. We had a great time on the porch and admired the stars and sea life. The children really enjoyed the kayak we were able to use. Thank you very much for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We were also able to have fun on Sunday, which was an extra bonus. Thank you very much - we will definitely come again.
The owner provided a full set of information in advance, which made our stay very easy. And the manager was there to receive us upon our arrival, which is also a positive. The house is fantastically situated, with an uninterrupted view over a quiet bay. Equipment is excellent and one can hardly ask for more for a nice place to sleep. We are not impressed with baths and showers in the bedroom, but the toilet is in its own room. For the price one pays WiFi should be provided.
The house is perfectly located right on the beach! It is an incredibly nice holiday home and we really appreciated and enjoyed all the facilities. We were well received and felt very welcome. We can really recommend 16 Perlemoendraai Beach House without a doubt. Will definitely make a reservation again. Well done Erica and Maryna.
We had a very nice stay. All that will need urgent attention are the head pillows on the beds. They are really way too mushy and worn out and even with 2 pillows on top of each other it is still not comfortable and feels over used. There is nothing quite like a firm pillow with a quilted "pillow protector" on it. There was also no mattress protector over the electric blanket, so sleeping comfort was not as luxurious as the rest of the beautiful home. Under the beds it was dusty and the cement floors might need a good mop with a clean mop and not just swept. We were 4 adults who walked in the house with clean feet and shoes and the bed mats were dirty after 2 days and full of marks that did not come from outside. I will stay there again, but will definitely bring my own pillows and bedding if they are not replaced.
We loved running along the coastal paths and into the flower reserve. The flowers were absolutely stunning. Such a great beach house. We loved our stay.
We had a great time and enjoyed the house very much. A bit sorry about the problem with theft in the area, but luckily the unit has good security so we didn't have any problems.
Fantastically located and furnished! Most beautiful pictures and so peaceful! Kayaking was great fun and the weather was beautiful! Thank you very much, we had a great time and made special memories!
We felt truly rested and great house with everything we could possibly need! Would definitely recommend the house as well as visit again myself!
Keep it as nice and clean as it is!
The house was neat and clean, very well-equipped. Lovely weekend, thank you!

Ons het dit weereens baie geniet. Die ligging is perfek en die huis pragtig.
Great house, great location with stunning sunsets. Peaceful and safe.
The lovely wide veranda overlooks Moerie's Bay and there is a nice big table and comfortable braai area - you can spend your days here or stretch out in the hammock. The roof is waterproof so you can even have a good time and have a barbecue even if it rains. The long dining table in the house with the ornate chandelier is just as lovely, but more effort could have been made with comfortable seating in the lounge area. The open-plan kitchen works very well, but the pantry with fridge and washing-up area is very small. The pantry is also connected to the alarm and beams outside so when the alarm is activated for safety at night one cannot enter there without activating the alarm ─ guests should be better informed about this. Curtains or blinds on all the windows in the upper room would be an improvement, as well as security gates on all the glass doors (there are outside beams though). It's a strange setup that you have to walk downstairs through one bedroom to get to the second bedroom, but both bedrooms on the ground floor have comfortable beds, a nice sea view and security blinds that close tightly and keep out light . Nevertheless, we had a very lovely weekend and the surroundings were beautiful with lots of spring flowers and walking paths.
The village is quiet and peaceful. You can really just rest and enjoy the view of the bay.
Definitely a holiday spot where you can look your family in the eye and spend time together without the city's noise.
Particular location and a comfortable house full of space and light where friends and family can visit.
It is a very nice and spacious house with a wonderful porch to hang out on and barbecue. It is also very safe and peaceful with a beautiful view of the sunset over the sea.
Neat seafront double storey house with all the comforts of your own home. Quiet, friendly community. Beautiful bay, safe for kayaking. No significant beach, but beautiful coastal fynbos, bird life and even spotted diver buck. Ideal for families with smaller children.
Stylish, tasteful home perfect for a family getaway!
The house was perfect! It is on the sea and has the most beautiful views. We had 2 year olds with us. We just made the stairs, and they rode on the stoep with their bikes. We'll be back for sure!
Wonderful atmosphere and view in designer's house.
From the books. Perlemoendraai is an excellent choice.
Comfortable house that is well equipped. The hostess, Maryna, was fantastic and went out of her way to help where needed.
Beautiful house and well furnished. Very quiet environment with only the sea in the foreground. Spectacular sunsets! Unfortunately, burglaries are a reality in Jacobs Bay. Make sure you use the alarm and don't leave any windows or doors open.
Many thanks to the owners and Truda for a well-organised weekend. We felt welcome from the start! The house was clean and had everything (and more) we wanted. The board games and the kayak provided hours of fun. Many thanks again to all for an amazing weekend. We got a chance to rest and admire nature. Absolutely incredible!
Our two small children really enjoyed the house and beach. There is a very nice stoep with a braai that overlooks the sea. We had a great time.
From the day I booked the house until we left we received nothing but the best service. We were there with our sons and their spouses who had come from overseas. It was raining, which made it even nicer to spend the weekend in the nice and warm house, when we got there the underfloor heating was already on for us! Place is neat, clean and everything we needed was in the house! Thank you for an amazing weekend, we will definitely use 16 Perlemoendraai Beach House again.
Wonderful house and we felt very welcome. Lovely, would book again 16 Perlemoendraai Beach House for a weekend.
Fantastic location, beautiful house, peace and quiet. Thank you to the owners, for sharing the special place with us. We will definitely go again.
We will definitely stay there again. It's pretty neat and the location is fantastic.
16 Perlemoendraai Beach House is situated in such a tranquil and beautiful area. We had a wonderful stay. The house is fitted with all modern comforts and is absolutely stunning. I would strongly recommend it.
We booked the beach house for a relaxing long weekend with our kids. The house is set in a beautiful part of Jacobs Bay with uninterrupted view of the ocean and fynbos on the doorstep. We had high expectations based on previous reviews, but upon arrival we became a little concerned our expectations may not be met. We arrived on Thursday 9th August, a public holiday, we drove up to the house only to come face to face with trucks and building workers who were angle-grinding, chain-sawing and banging on the house directly opposite us. The agent who met us outside the property explained that the house opposite was behind schedule so they needed to catch up! When we asked how much longer the noise was likely to continue, she said they "needed to make up time and they'll be working around the clock!" Fairly unapologetic or aware of how this might affect our stay! Upon entering the house we were happy to find it was as described and felt lovely inside, especially the view from the back of the house leading towards the ocean. The underfloor heating was on (although the one section in the lounge by the couches didn’t seem to work), but kitchen and bedrooms were lovely and warm. The owner had kindly agreed to bring one of the single mattresses down from the loft room, as the stairs leading up there really aren't suitable for younger children, so we were pleased this had been done and set up for our 2 year old to nap on. Unfortunately due to the building noise, not a lot of "chilling out" was done that afternoon. My husband eventually went across to speak with the builders to see when they would stop, and he was told to bear with it for 5 more minutes and then the chain-sawing would be done. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case, and the noise continued on and off until about 5:20pm. We called Erica (the owner) and she handled the matter very professionally and we really appreciated that. Unfortunately there wasn’t much sympathy or solutions from the agent - although subsequently we learnt that is was her husbands building company working on the house. Erica gave us the option to leave that evening, and wouldn't charge us, but sadly having driven 1 hour and 40 mins from Cape Town, with two small children, leaving at bath/bedtime just wasn't really an option. We hoped that the following day would be better and we could finally enjoy our relaxing break as we really didn't want to end the holiday prematurely. Thankfully the Friday and Saturday were better, building activity could still be heard but nothing as bad as when we first arrived and we were very glad we stayed on. Erica reimbursed us for one night, which we felt was quite fair and well-handled on her part. The house itself is great, and the setup is accommodating for hosting families - the only point I'd make is we assumed the Nespresso Machine was still in the property, as it is shown in the photos, so we brought our own pods based on that and were disappointed that the machine had been removed. Thankfully there's a new deli and coffee shop in Jacobs Bay called Charlies Deli that does decent coffee to give you a caffeine kick. All-in-all the surroundings could have been a little more peaceful and relaxing, but we had a good 'ocean-front' break nonetheless.
Absolutely amazing spot. The house has everything you could need and is beautifully decorated. We had an amazing and relaxed weekend and would thoroughly recommend staying there.
See stars.
My baby is getting big and one day they can sleep on their own. However, the stair rail is open on the top side and very easy for a small child to fall through. Will be great if anything can be done.
Fantastic house, very well appointed and highly recommended. We had an unforgettable weekend in Jacobs Bay.
Beautiful and neat house on the beach. It was a great privilege to stay here.
Was a wonderful, beautiful and clean house. Location was exceptional.
Stunning house in an amazing location. Well equipped. The owner and agent make you feel at home.
The dishwasher needs attending. After the first wash, the dishes were still dirty. Only to discover that the filter was full of grime. It was also asking for salt and rinse aid. A TV could be a nice extra for the not so good days outside. The bedrooms really need overhead fans as there is no air flowing if the inter leading doors are closed and for the sake of safety one cannot leave the doors open. Cupboards did not have enough space to put ones clothes in. Everything one needed in the kitchen.
Fantastic owner and great accommodation. Positive experience, thank you!
It was incredibly beautiful. House design was top quality. It was by the sea and the weather was perfect for April. There was no wind throughout the day which made hanging out on the porch perfect.
The atmosphere in the house, the decor, and the location was fantastic. The house is suitable for any party and all appliances are available, you don't have to worry if you forget something at home.
Beautiful setting, so peaceful. Kids loved it too.
Cleaning products such as Handy Andy and toilet cleaners were not in the house! The stairs inside the house are very dangerous for small children!
It's a beautiful house, well equipped and the perfect location. The stairs are not suitable for small children, but otherwise everything was perfect for us. We come again!
TV recommended for the winter, especially with children.
Thanks for a relaxing, peaceful weekend. It's perfectly situated for someone who seeks peace and quiet.
Incredibly beautiful place and wonderful for children and rest for your soul. Will definitely come again soon.
Our family was able to return to a place close to our hearts. What a wonderful experience to be able to walk on Moerie's bay's beach again, put stones, catch rockfish, row on the sea and watch the beautiful sunsets from the veranda! The accommodation was top notch: comfortably furnished for a family, everything in good taste and with everything you need! Located in a beautiful and unspoiled environment. What an experience. We will definitely return to this gem of a place!
We had a wonderful weekend in 16 Perlemoendraai! Kitchen well equipped and clean! Awesome braai area and kids enjoy there room upstairs, comfortable beds and very neat and clean. ... love the decor throughout the house! Not much to do in Jakopsbaai itself ... but beautiful little village!
Grest accomodation and fantastic location. Had a fun-filled Opiwa fees. Thanks to all involved in Jacobsbaai!
The location, area and cottage were fantastic and nice and peaceful.
It was wonderful to be able to spend time with the family in a lovely house that is very well equipped. The patio and fireplace were a particular hit. We were there for a weekend, but it felt like we were gone longer.
We spent three glorious days at Perlemoendraai. The weather was just perfect! We loved waking up to the shimmering sea and sound of the waves. We loved the location of the house and the view was just fantastic. Most of our time was spent on the patio while enjoying a glass of wine, sundowner and evening braais. In the evenings we often sat on the patio till late and just appreciated the fresh air and sunsets. The house is lovely and the kitchen well equipped. The constant building activity in the area was a bit of a disturbance but did not distract from us resting and ensuring great memories of this lovely house.
The surroundings are beautiful and so is the house where we stayed. The expectation is that you will relax and rest. Unfortunately, this is not the case due to high crime rates. Everything including doors, windows, cars must be locked with alarms that must be on. To really relax is not possible here. This cannot be recommended.
A beautiful seaside house! We saw the most beautiful sun bag over the sea! The view over the sea is picturesque. The house is big and very neat.
The house is beautiful, spacious and well appointed with everything and more you could expect from a weekend away. We fell in love with the large veranda with its long table and view of the bay. The children frolicked in the pools.
Clean, tidy and stylish house. Perfect location. An absolutely fantastic experience.
Very nice neat house. We had a very nice weekend. Would definitely like to rent the house again. It is perfectly located and is very well equipped.
Erica made us feel so comfortable and kept us informed all the time. The house does not have a TV. How wonderful! Read, play games, spend time with your family, make a nice fireplace, hang out around the big table in the kitchen / open plan living area - everything and more. Our 2 year old son enjoyed himself and played outside all the time.
