The apartment can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 upstairs bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. This room also features a TV and access to a balcony looking out onto the small reserve and the sea. The second bedroom contains a double bed, while the third bedroom contains 2 single beds. These bedrooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a dishwasher, stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. The dining area has seating space for 5 people, while the lounge has a comfy lounge suite and a TV. There is also a guest toilet. The courtyard is paved and offers outside washing up facilities, a laundry, a washing line and outside shower. The patio has a large dining area as well as built-in braai and a separate sitting area perfect for relaxing and reading.
There is a covered carport for parking in front of the unit. There are beach chairs and umbrellas available in the storeroom in the garage. Please note to bring your own beach towels DStv decoder and smart card for the DStv access point. No smoking allowed in units. No pets allowed in the complex.
The apartment is located in a small secure complex which includes electric fencing with a remote access point and a remote panic button for backup security. Only a small narrow nature reserve separates the apartment from the beach. This reserve provides beautiful landscape scenery, a windbreak as well as privacy from the beachgoers. It is a 200m walk to Southbroom beach which boasts lifeguards, a lagoon, restaurant and tidal pool. There is a wonderful walk on a rambling path all along this beachfront with more swimming beaches and perfect for exercise and leisure. The complex also has a swimming pool and clubhouse available to all residents. There is a borehole in the complex so there is no issue to access water.

Best accommodation we have had on the South Coast. It's a home away from home, with absolutely everything you might need in the house at your disposal. Loved everything about the accommodation and the complex and will definitely be coming back soon.
17 Ramsgate Dunes is the perfect accommodation for a family holidaying on the south coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. It boasts a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, beautiful sea view, spacious rooms and living area, a fully equipped kitchen, a dishwasher which is a great asset for Mom who also wants to rest, adequate bathrooms, lovely porch for barbecuing and visiting, security that ensures peace of mind for you, a large water tank if there is no water available in the area, communal pool area and a semi-private beach that is walking distance from the unit. Apart from the above, the house is professionally furnished and the owner has even made sure that there is a DStv Premium package available, as well as board games and playing cards if the family does not want to watch TV. There is also a bookshelf with interesting books available for the bookworms, and a shelf full of DVDs and a DVD player for the movie fleas. 17 Ramsgate Dunes is truly a home away from home and can be considered - the reasonable accommodation price is of course also the icing on the cake.
