The premises are beautiful and comfortable. Recommendation is more laundry lines for laundry. Enjoyed it a lot. It's safe and the staff and fellow guests are friendly.

Very child-friendly holiday resort. Friendly staff. Really appreciated the quiet behind apartment (by the sea)! Was only concerned about safety at night, as resort does not provide enough safety at reception.

The place was pretty clean upon our arrival. The view was very beautiful, especially in the evening. Something can definitely be done about the fridge. It is definitely too small. Thank you very much.

When we arrived at the unit everything looked tidy but when we entered it was not at all what we expected. Photos do not reflect the unit at all. Beds were made but not ironed so looked unclean as if someone had slept in them before us, walls dirty (needs good cleaning or painting), microwave rusted and cutlery tacky and sticky. The bathroom's sink was also under a layer of sand. DSTV went on as promised, but TV wouldn't show any image at all. Luckily we were able to move to another unit.

The house was nice and neat, we were not far from the pools.

I would recommend 176 Beach Club to anyone as it is situated close to all amenities and right by the beach. The apartment is comfortable for 6 adults and ensures a comfortable stay. The host is very helpful and provided great assistance with our stay.

Couches could be replaced. Wi-Fi is definitely a recommendation.

The property is neglected and in need of attention. The floor tiles need cleaning, not just with a wet cloth. The cutlery feels like it's made of tin, cheap. Frying pan consists of two lids that do not fit together. Pan is of very poor quality. The towel rail in the bathroom pulls out of the wall and one is taped to the wall with toilet paper (yes, toilet paper). The blind in one room does not work. Hermanus Beach Club 176 will not see us again. Poor value for money. At R1000 a day you expect a lot more. We have been booking through the website for probably 15 to 20 years and have never had a problem with a property.

The corners in the rooms and under the fridge were very dirty and packed from no regular cleaning. The room's cupboards don't smell good either. The bedding of the two double beds is very old and does not fit properly, the inside of the duvet is bunched up. The unit itself has not had a recent renovation and the walls have moisture built up under the paint.

Would recommend the place. Tidy. quiet, friendly people and lots of places to ride out.

The apartment is very comfortable and the beach is within walking distance. The beach is very rocky so not ideal for swimming but the facilities at the club kept the kids busy. I must say that the elderly man at the entertainment area was not very friendly though. The kids enjoyed themselves and we were able to relax after a long hard year.

I was very disappointed that the DStv was disconnected early Sunday morning. They could have waited until 10am. Some of the blankets in the cupboards looked unwashed. I did not use them however everything must be changed for the next visitor.

Also was bit shocked coming into the front entrance of the resort due to informal settlement, but felt very safe inside the resort.

Accommodation was well equipped and clean. Surroundings quiet and peaceful. Activities for everyone at the Club House. The facilities are well managed. The owner was very helpful and easy to contact. All round, amazing holiday with family. Highly recommend it.

We did not receive any instructions on the collection of the keys etc and/or whether anyone would meet us at Hermanus Beach Club. I would normally receive a courtesy call from an agent/owner on the day that the booking starts and this never happened. We arrived at Hermanus and I stopped at Engen and called the number provided in the SMS sent to me. That number did not exist and I was then given another number to call. I called a few times with no luck, then eventually left a voicemail and drove to Hermanus Beach Club. Verona eventually called me back when we got to the gate of Hermanus Beach Club. The key was then delivered to us at the unit after about 5 minutes or so. On the day that we left I had to contact her to ask what time we need to leave and what we should do with the key. She informed me that we should leave at 11:00 and give the key to the cleaner who will be there at the time to collect it. We waited and waited. I called her with no luck until 11:20, when I sent a message to say we will leave the key at the security. She only then called me back and said we should leave the key under the mat at the front door. I am yet to receive the R500 damage deposit which I had to pay. This was my worst ever experience with accommodation.
