18 Coogee Bay Beachfront Apartment is a self-catering sea-facing apartment in a secure apartment complex. It's located in Gonubie, a little seaside village on the estuary of the Gonubie River, just 8 km from East London and 30 km from the airport.

The fully-furnished apartment can accommodate 6 guests, ideally for 4 adults and 2 children, and comprises 2 bedrooms furnished with a king-size extra-length bed in the main room, 2 single beds in the second room and a double bed sleeper couch more suited for children, in the lounge area. The bathroom is fitted with a shower-over-bath.

The open-plan kitchen contains a fridge-freezer, 2-plate induction stove and 2-plate gas stove, electric oven, convection microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, washing and dryer combination machine, and all the necessary kitchen necessities, including non-stick pots, pans, cutlery and utensils.

The lounge opens onto the balcony which offers lovely views of the ocean and beach and a gas braai facility on the balcony. A hammock is provided for guests to lie and relax on the balcony overlooking the bay. The lounge has a 58-inch Smart TV with Netflix movie and series channels on demand. Free high-speed Wi-Fi. For guests with laptops, there is also a comfortable workstation with, on prior request, a 32-inch external screen and wireless keyboard and mouse for use during your stay

For load shedding, the apartment uses a solar geyser and 2 plate gas stove in the kitchen, a gas braai on the balcony, and a low voltage inverter that supports the lights and appliances with low energy usage such as mobile phones, laptops, and TV.

The complex has communal outdoor braai facilities and a secure covered parking area behind a remote access-controlled gate.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor and only accessible by steps, and guests are requested to take note that there is no lift available, therefore not ideally suitable if guests have difficulty climbing steps.

Gonubie and the surrounding offer scenic walks, beautiful ocean and lagoon views, a wide range of water sports such as river and rock fishing, surfing, paddling, and boating can be enjoyed in the ocean or lagoon while land-based activities include game reserves, lion and snake park, birdwatching, quad biking, hiking, picnics, golf and browsing local restaurants, shopping centers, farmer's markets and much more.

The apartment is a strictly non smoking apartment. No smoking is allowed inside the apartment or outside on the balcony or entrance/passageway.
There is a washing machine and dryer, no washing is allowed to be hung on the balcony to dry.
Use of the swing hammock is at its own risk.
No loud music or loud parties are allowed in order to respect other residents.
Use of the electricity backup inverter for load shedding is for use on low voltage items only such as laptops, cell phones, lights, etc. No high-voltage items such as kettles, fans, etc can be used and we will not be held liable for any damage to appliances for incorrect use. The inverter's batteries should last about 4-5 hours depending on the consumption, but unfortunately cannot be used for high-voltage appliances including the kettle, cooking, and hair dryers.
Additional cleaning can be arranged at prior notice for R100 per half day (weekends and public holidays may need longer notice).
