37 guests' feedbackWe had a very nice stay. Too bad the home owner to the left of the house blocked the view. It's not right what he did. 'Home away from home'. We plan to go again.
It was fantastic, super clean, 50 meter walk to fantastic lookout point.
Very quiet, neat and clean, next to the river.
Yes, we had a very nice stay.
Very comfortable house with sufficient facilities, convenient because there are 3 bathrooms, cutlery is a bit scarce, the bedrooms are spacious enough, there is sufficient space and storage space in the kitchen and the 2 fridges are very convenient. The upper deck offers a lovely place to hang out, just a shame it wasn't cleaned.
The house was very well equipped we were not short of anything. The lamps that stay on during load shedding were a bonus thank you. Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us, the Bona fires every night were the best.
We had a very nice stay. The place has everything one needs. If you don't prefer a pool, the air cooling is a winner for sure.
The house was very old and had no view.
Thank you very much for the privilege of being able to stay in your special place. For people complaining I would like to say, for the price the property offers a lot. For someone to open their place for you comes from the heart. There are ṅ front and back to choose from. If the traffic bothers you in the front, sit in the back. We saw many animals in the back. The fence and plants help a lot with privacy in front. Being able to walk just a short distance to the river was wonderful. Well equipped and beds sleep great. Thank you very much again.
The accommodation is directly across the viewing area and is amazing. The photos do not do it justice. Would definitely go again.
We were there for the long weekend. Was really very nice. The house is very close to the wildlife park and we heard the animals so beautifully. Also had a great time walking down the wire. I would just think for the price there would be a pool. Would have been very nice. We struggled a bit with the showers. The hot water had to be turned on and off all the time so that the hot water could stay warm and when you turned on the cold water, the pipes made a big noise. Other than that it was lovely to stay there. Felt very safe and the animals came to eat grass in the garden. I will stay there again and recommend to other people.
The animals come to visit together.
The house is within walking distance of a viewpoint over the Crocodile River. The house is spacious. It's very good value for money, except for a few niggles that can actually be easily fixed. The grill at the braai is not very practical. They can easily provide a folding grill. There are also not enough lights in the house. Especially the corridor and the stairs to the upper floor are poorly lit. The hot water is not hot at all, maybe lukewarm at most. There is a gas geyser, but it really doesn't work well. The rest is very cute, but the three things need attention.
1815 Sea Cow is a nice house close to the wildlife garden, at the vantage point that can be burdensome. Amenities are adequate but poorly maintained. Refrigerator is broken which caused us to suffer and just take your own grill with you. Would have had a nice view of the river but garden is completely overgrown. There is a deck that you can look out of but that is also risky. We still had a nice stay and if they spend some time and money on the house we will go again.
Please note that you should make sure you take your own dishcloths with you. No dish soap is provided. The amount per night does not justify the inconvenience we had. We only arrived very late, 21H00 in the evening, with no information from security that loadshedding started at 21H00, we struggled for about 30 min to be able to enter in the dark, and this with an 11 month old baby who is tired and hungry wash. There were no warnings about water pressure, so we couldn't have had a proper shower all weekend. The sink was full of cobwebs and baby daddy long legs. Without knowing what the house looks like we had to choose which rooms we wanted as not all beds are made because the owner wants to save her bedding. We then chose rooms with king-size beds, but the second room was so small for the big bed that baby's cot could not be put up. So we could not use the other room, because there were no bed linen. Personally, I really think the amount per night is very high, no splash pool, and the wording on notes about what to do and what not to do makes one feel half like a child. Unfortunately we will not stay there again. We come to Marloth a lot and have been to more modest type places but at least we got dish towels and dish soap to use. It's the least convenient, especially if you want to rinse out a baby bottle during the night. The general feeling from all 3 of us adults was that it is absolutely all about profit and there is no, but no recognition or appreciation for guests. We just drove early on Sunday morning because we really didn't enjoy the weekend with the struggle.
The accommodation was perfect and situated in a great spot. Very clean and very well organized. Everything you needed was there. It was home away from home. We will definitely be visiting there again in the near future.
The kitchen faucet is loose at the part where water comes out. Bathroom in master bedroom's hot tap closes very hard. Globe in master bedroom and outside at braai and porch in front downstairs did not work.
We had a peaceful, nice holiday there in the forest, the house is comfortable and well equipped with everything. It's nice and close to the lookout point and you can relax in several places, in front or behind for a nice braai. The upper deck is lovely for a cocktail or an early morning coffee. Your place sucks! We will definitely book there again next time, we really enjoyed the holiday and had a nice rest and visit.
We've been visiting Marloth Park for the at least 20 years once a year or more, and this was our best stay ever. It was like being home from home, relaxing with everything you need at hand. The beds are perfect. Enjoying our breakfast on the top deck or in the garden there was always animals. And we had visit from 15 wildebeest in the front garden one evening. The only thing was the road to get to 1815 Seekoei was a challenge in our car. It took us +- 20 min from the tar road. The municipality needs to fix the roads.
Amazing well appointed house with beautiful garden. Excellent view of Kruger Park within 50 m walk.
We arrived to find a lovely thatch house which was clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, except the kettles on/off switch was tricky. The bedrooms spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were great except the showers water pressure and temperature we all battled with. The lighting at night is dim and not great if reading. The patio and braai area are spacious and we loved sitting outside watching kudu, impala and all the fabulous birds popping into the garden. We loved having a lookout that we could walk too overnight the Crocodile River. Thanks to our hosts.
We spoke to owner and explained the situation, but she was not very helpful. She offered to refund us R7000 but then we have to leave the premises even though we paid R8400. The sink in master bedroom was dirty and blocked. The shower in the guest room was blocked. The owner then offered to give us a discount but nothing came of it.
The agents must just please check if all light bulbs are working before new tenants arrive. There area a few not working. The air-con in the loft is also not working and should be seen to.
Three bathrooms, one of which has a bathtub, are a huge treat! The location is unbeatable! The house is spacious and offers several visiting options. There is a lapa at the back, a stoep at the front and a balcony to choose from. There are sufficient crockery, as well as tablecloths and place mats. We booked for a week and would have loved to stay longer! The gas geyser sometimes provided cold surprises. However, I would book here again anytime.
Simply awesome. Not only to you have river views from the house you also just a stone throw from the Kranx Look Out. What a fantastic place. If I was to buy a unit in Marloth, this is the one I would look at buying. Home away from home.
Kerry was very accommodating to our needs. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to others.
1815 Hippo is near the river and lookout point. Night owls came to visit at night and kudus jumped over the fence during the day and grazed in the garden.
The photos are exactly what you get. Nice and private and walking distance from the Kruger Lookout Point. Lovely lawn and view of Crocodile River. The lapa at the back is nice for hanging out and the animals often come to say hello. The aircons in 2 rooms and in the living area helped a lot in the heat wave we had. The owner also kept us informed of matters. Thank you for a beautiful home where we can appreciate nature.
Really very neat and clean. Provides all the necessary amenities for a wonderful getaway. Owners very accommodating and helpful.
We had a very nice stay here. The garden is beautiful and fun for the boys to play in! It is terribly clean and neat! Will definitely stay there again!
Very neat comfortable house and would like to go back again in the future and would recommend the place anytime.
Very nice visit, good view and location. House well equipped for a peaceful break.
Very nice place, thank you.
We really enjoyed our weekend and would love to go back. Definitely recommend the house!
Great location, clean and safe. Will definitely go back.
The location of the house was awesome as it was across the road of the view point onto the Crocodile River. The house is old and I do feel that there are some things that need to be updated, but it did not spoil the holiday.
The pictures on the internet looked amazing. But the reality was very disappointing. The place was dirty and untidy. The linen protectors had cockroaches and spots on from who knows how long ago as it had not been cleaned. For me personally not worth the money they are charging.
