A smaller bedroom equipped with a single bed also forms part of the apartment. A private bathroom services the unit with towels, guest soap and shampoo being provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-plate stove, oven, microwave oven, fridge and all amenities. The apartment also features a Jacuzzi and sauna for the exclusive use of our guests staying in the apartment.
Guests can enjoy views of the garden and duck pond with Clyde, Thelma and Louise, the resident ducks, and many other species of wild birds. In the evenings, the local Bush babies may be seen frolicking in the tree tops. We are close to many fine restaurants and bars.

I had an emergency and received prompt service. The place was very beautiful, peaceful and private. The decor ideas are cute.

Disappointed because we couldn't make use of the facilities due to no power and the generator can't run them. They could've at least informed us because our anniversary weekend didn't turn out well at all, and we might have looked for other accommodation instead. We struggled with WiFi to watch movies on the TV, had difficulty getting the TV to switch on, had to ask for extra toilet paper and for the generator to be started. There was lots of noise from upstairs until 03:30 in the mornings, many mosquitoes (doom tabs available to plug into adapter in wall socket) but no electricity so we had to buy doom for a peaceful sleep, and water streamed in underneath the wooden door while raining. The space smells like mould.
This accommodation is not at all 3 star standard as advertised. Beds are old and bed linen and towels are of poor quality.

Hot water for shower a big challenge. Garden is not at all a loop court as described in advertisement. Chlorine smell at hot tub is overwhelming.

For some reason I got a cold shower every time. Jacuzzi wastes water in apartment and will work better outside in garden, then the current Jacuzzi room can be used as a bedroom, the sitting/bedroom will then feel less cramped. Just got milk for coffee first morning. Percolator not cleaned. Garden needs attention and breaks down overnight facilities. Lots of potential but could be better managed and utilised.
The place was excellent and neat.
We were probably there 2 years ago and now again. The bed is not very comfortable and the bedding is old. The towels provided seem to have been used in the home. Kitchen definitely needs upgrading.
On arrival, the general cleanliness of the yard is poor. No maintenance takes place. There are bad smells in the rooms. The general condition of the building and rooms is poor - again little/no maintenance. Although the place is classified as a 3-star guest house, what we got was not at all what we wanted.
The owner even took us to the shop with his own car for free. We will come again.

Nice stay, clean and tidy.
I was pleasantly surprised with the apartment. Very neat, spacious and functional, with a Jacuzzi and sauna. Located between big trees, with very nice garden. The host was very helpful and received us kindly. Will definitely go back again.
Arrived late at night, owner personally awaited us with tea/coffee and home-baked biscuits. House very clean, big space. Extra single bed room. Will confidently recommend this address to my Dutch friends! Thank you Rian and Arno!

The accommodation is clean and neat. Our only problem was the shower water - the temperature wasn't stable. Lovely garden and the 3 ducks were a lot of fun. I won't stay there for a holiday, but it had everything we needed for a quick stop over.
I unexpectedly had to stay there the whole time without my husband. At no point did I feel unsafe. We only booked for one night, but there was no problem staying longer. However, I'm new to the city and didn't notice when booking that it was a self-catering unit, and it caught me off guard. Next time I will read more carefully!

Room was never cleaned. It was hot with lots of mosquitos no fan. DStv is not the full package. No clean towel that comes and sits in the room. We spent the whole weekend using the towels we got the first day. No privacy, the owners had a party on Saturday. Would not recommend the place to anyone. The window frames of the place where the jazzie is are rusted.

There is a club nearby, so the music goes on all night which makes it difficult to fall asleep, even on a weekday.
It was nicely, centrally situated for our purposes and very comfortable. It was much more than we expected for self-catering accommodation and therefore extremely good value for money. We enjoyed the three ducks who let us know when they were hungry. They enjoyed my bran rusks. The immediate availability of tea, coffee, milk and sugar was a very welcome surprise after our long drive from Durban, as we had forgotten to bring milk. The accommodation was well-furnished and very clean. It lacked for nothing and we recommend it without hesitation.
Accommodation is in a quiet area, everything and more that a person could want. Jacuzzi and sauna were the proverbial icing on the cake.

Die flat is so unique. Have you ever heard of a guesthouse with its own Jacuzzi and sauna? The unit is big and really safe. Good value for money. A bigger bed would have been great and the hot water is depleted quite fast. Otherwise 186@Ridge is a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend it!
We absolutely enjoyed it. The area is very peaceful, quiet and calming. The Jacuzzi was the highlight. The amenities are all comfortable! Everything is quite clean.
The place is very spacious, except for the kitchen which is a bit small, but it was more than enough for our purpose. The place is very neat and the bed slept very well. The only negative comment is on the gas geyser, where the hot water falls away when you take a shower. I'm sure it's something small that can be fixed on the geyser itself.

We were in Pretoria, because I was for an eye operation. The apartment is beautifully furnished. Kitchen lovely. Great feeling of being at home. Cleaning service daily was definitely a plus. Lovely place and will definitely stay there again!

I personally enjoyed my stays at 186@ridge street. The staff are very friendly and the place is neat. I could walk to places like the Gautrain, Pretoria CBD, as well as Sunnyside and Arcadia. I wouldn't mind making 186@ridge my home when ever I am visiting Pretoria again.

What I love about 186 @ Ridge is that they offer more than you expect - usually it's different! We enjoyed the hot tub and the nut coffee was a HUGE bonus for me. The decor is creative and interesting - one feels at home. The location is excellent for our purpose. The price is within our budget and I would recommend 186 @ Ridge to anyone.

I loved staying there, wished I could stay for two months or more. The environment is homey, I really felt welcomed and at ease - just like I would at home.nnThe place is clean, tidy, secure, spacious not to mention beautiful. If it were according to me, visiting Pretoria I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else but [email protected] give this place 11/10. I can't believe I miss it already :-(
