This former farm building, with its wooden ceilings and beams, has been tastefully modernised into a comfortable self-catering guest house without sacrificing any of its character.
The accommodation comprises a sitting room with a TV, 3 bedrooms, a built-in braai on the patio and a fully equipped kitchen. The large kitchen and dining room is equipped with a stove, a microwave and all the other necessities for self-catering.
2 River Guest House is conveniently located for stopping over when travelling to or from the famous Baviaanskloof Wilderness area. Padlangs and Tolbos are local restaurants where guests can also order take aways from, other restaurants and shopping destinations can be found at Jeffrey's Bay and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).

The directions to 2 River guest house were very easy to follow. The area was lovely quiet and the house beautiful. There was everything we needed. After a small misunderstanding, the other room was also made available, as we were not a couple who wanted to share one bed.
The house is spacious, nicely furnished and has a lovely veranda for long periods of time.
Beautiful valley, comfortable accommodation, hospitable and peaceful. Lovely fig tree between the citrus groves, view of the mountains and swimming pool to cool off in.
Enjoy the location. One problem is the quality of the drinking water. Water is brown.

We slept here very nicely after a long and slow tour all day through the Baviaanskloof. The place is neat, and everything was very nice and comfortable for our night's stay. Can recommend it!

2 River Guest House is truly a beautiful place. An old farmhouse that has been tastefully and elegantly transformed into a delightfully relaxed guest house. High quality equipment with everything one needs and tasteful decor. Lovely spacious rooms and a nice braai area with a silvery clean grill, it counts points.

Pleasant, peaceful and well situated at the end of the tar road at the entrance to the Baviaanskloof on a working farm.

Very nice place and a lot of attention to detail. The battery system in the master bedroom is a bit disturbing and breaks the silence of the night. Also very nice stay.

Love the few things that were not clammed up, the beautiful door with the round glass, the old windows and the old ceiling.
The guest house is wonderfully located and very nicely furnished. There are also candles and a gas plate, but no matches, and when we asked if we could get matches, we were told that we could buy them for R3. A young man then came to collect the money, before bringing the matches a little later. There was also a notice that we please don't take the water bottle with you. It's probably debatable whether guests should bring their own matches, but it's not nice at all to feel as if you're so distrusted. I would assume that you can't run a guesthouse without a basic trust that people won't take your stuff, so I wonder why we are so distrustful. After such an experience, it is difficult to enjoy the stay, regardless of how beautiful everything is. The photos on the website are also a bit outdated, so things look a bit different now.
2 River Guest house was a wonderful and very comfortable place to stay after we drove through the Baviaanskloof.
What an incredible view. With mountains and orchards in the background. Anelia's hand and heart are so in that place. I will spend the night there again tomorrow. Lovely people. Place so neat.

We were 2 couples who slept here. The farm is very beautiful, with friendly staff. The house has everything you will need with a very neat braai. All the rooms in the house are very nicely made up and decorated! Very good value for the price!
"Double bed" which looked large and comfortable in the pictures, turned out to be too narrow for the comfort we needed. Otherwise clean and well appointed.
The place was spotless clean and everything we needed was easy to find. A walk down to the river is a must when staying here. I will definitely recommend the guest house to anyone I know who goes to visit the area.

Quiet farm setting with lots of space. Fully equipped. An air conditioner is a recommendation. With a temperature of 40 degrees, a fan was not sufficient.

What a lovely retreat away from it all. This is a genuine modern farm. Had a wonderful stay and the hostess and host are very friendly and hospitable. Would definitely recommend and come again!
