The pool is a winner. The air conditioning is absolutely wonderful on the hot nights. Ideal for a large group of people. There are a lot of other guests right next to you, so if you want to be very private, this won't work for you. We have a good time and it suited us.

No, the room is not as advertised. The bed creaks at night when you change position in your sleep. The bedding stained with old bloodstains. Long hair against the tiles in the bathroom shower. Ceiling in bathroom full of mould. Toilet brush etc. broken. No tea or fresh milk. Definitely not 5 star.

We were there for the Oudsthoorn Marathon. The guest house is within walking distance (500m) of the finish - ideally located for athletes. Nice shower after the run! Carroll was very helpful with arrival and departure. "Farm" atmosphere with horses and other farm animals across the street. Safe and clean - internet access.
Will definitely stay there again when I go to Oudtshoorn. See stars.

The shower was awesome! Very comfortable overnight stay.
We were allocated a different apartment, which meant we had to climb steep stairs to get to our room. And we were the oldest guests there. The pool and braai area were far from our entrance, which would mean we would have to take all our braai requirements up and down the steep stairs. The pool and the braai area gave the family in the apartment on the ground floor exclusive use of the pool and braai. There was no seating to accommodate other guests; therefore, we could not make use of the pool or braai. On arrival, I asked if we could have some clothes hangers, but the owner said they had been stolen and as we were only going to be there for a few days, it shouldn't affect us. We were very unhappy and we moved out after one day and had to pay for other accommodation. The road leading to the accommodation was full of potholes.

This is in good location and very friendly hostess. Never too much trouble for any things we needed. They also have restaurants in town that have the best food. I would go back and stay anytime. We really enjoyed it with 2 teenagers. There is a swimming pool and recreation facilities.

The apartment was very clean and neat, however, the person who opened it for us, literally only dropped the key in our hands and was off. Later on, we realized that there were no towels provided, when we phoned the excuse was that it was due to Covid. They were gracious enough to bring us 3 towels for use. Funny that the pictures still shows the towels. Please kindly remove the pictures and tell guests about bringing their own towels.
Some Kitchen utensils needs to be replaced, eg. pan and other utensils.
There was no coffee, tea, milk, water or biscuits as mentioned in the advertisement. We didn't take it with us because we were under the impression there is. No soap in the shower or even hand soap at the sink. Hand soap dispenser was there, but it was empty. WiFi we were only able to access after contacting Carroll. Not info sheet with WiFi code. No information regarding DStv - so we couldn't watch DStv and didn't want to bother our hostess after 21:00.
Certain things need to be attended to like the shower drain that was blocked and the unit we stayed in should not be a self-catering unit.

Als neat and clean, and all accessories needed were available. Peaceful surroundings outside of town. Wonderful friendly people. And it is animal friendly, our Yorkie could go along and there was a nice and safe place for her to play outside in the garden.
