23 guests' feedbackThree of us stayed in the flat, which was equipped with everything we needed. The garden is beautiful, and we made use of the pool and generous outside area seating.
Neat, clean and comfortable self-contained and separate cottage on a property one block from the sea, almost perfect. Host is kind, gracious and private. Don't hesitate to stay here.
The accommodation is neat with everything you need. It is not big, but sufficient for 2 persons. It doesn't have washing up facilities, but the hostess offered to wash any dishes. The parking is right in front of the door and behind a steel gate. A plus was that provision was made for load shedding.
The host was not there when we arrived, and Swenky, who let us into the premises, was not aware that we were arriving or which cottage we had booked. He said Catherine had not informed him. What is referred to as a "cottage" is nothing more than a large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. There was a bar fridge with a microwave on top and an electric kettle on top of that, as well as two armchairs and a small table with a TV in a small space off the bedroom. Unfortunately, there was no crockery or cutlery, so we were unable to have tea or coffee in the evening or before we left the following morning. Additionally, there was no shower mat, creating a risk of slipping on the water that spilled out from under the shower curtain. The mat at the wash basin was actually a plastic mat for the bath. The room was reasonably clean. On our departure, the cleaner let us out. We did not meet the host at any time. The room is overpriced for the area, which we visit at least once a month. We will not be recommending this accommodation to anyone.
Very warm welcome on arrival. Everyone very friendly and very helpful. Accommodation was truly home away from home. Everything you need to rest well. Truly a gem of a place. Would definitely recommend.

Quiet, perfect location. Space in the garden and in the house is sufficient for grandchildren. Lapa is very nice close to home.
It was fine but not happy regarding breakfast, we paid for bed and breakfast but didn't get it. And we have to clean our room yet we were there to relax.
Owners were very welcoming and accommodating. Great place to getaway from the concrete jungle.

The price was unbelievably cheap, so much effort put into the place to make us feel at home and special. Its quiet and so beautiful. The owner is a sweetheart and very helpful. One cannot even describe it. Just the best of the best and more than one would expect to experience. Really this is the place where I will book every time I go on vacation.
We were welcomed by the lovely hosts of beautiful 23 Ambleside and immediately made to feel right at home. Everything was perfect inside, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Exceptional attention to detail. The garden is well kept and safe for your pets and children. Easy access to the beach. We loved our stay there and can wholeheartedly recommended it.

All was well and the place is very practically situated. Close to the main road and some basic needs. The Spar is a mere 150 m. The personal touch was just too wonderful. Will definitely arrange our trips to spend a night it two at the place. Very cosy.
Had a nice weekend there. Did find it slightly pricey considering it wasn't serviced and had no TV choices. At R1600 a day it would have been better if it had both options. Would have been nice if it had a sea view. However, still enjoyed the week end there thoroughly. The host was very accommodating.
The owner was very friendly and very helpful. Place was always clean and very tidy. For the rainy days there is a movie channel. It is also very secure and access is very well controlled. Would recommend anytime.
The cottage was very private, clean and neat.
The hostess went out of her way to make you feel at home, comfortable and helped if you needed anything. Over the Christmas period we were spoiled with chocolates. The cottage were very need and I can definitely recommend it to any one who wants to go and relax.
