Everything is fine except for the guests who were in accompanying rooms this weekend. They whistled late on Friday night and Saturday night. Friday night until 1:00 a.m. occasional knocks on our door in passing. Saturday night they continued until about 2am. It was extremely unpleasant.

When we made the reservation, we weren't sure about meals. We wanted to have a braai for dinner, but luckily we confirmed ahead of time that our accommodation was B & B. We had a nice meal at a restaurant for dinner. It was a big bonus when the delicious breakfast was included.

278 on Main is located in such a way that you don't have to drive at all to get to any of the shops. We parked on Saturday and didn't get back into my car until Sunday when we drove. I would love to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. I felt the venue central to the towns bustle yet hidden away enough to enjoy our privacy. I would surely come back.
My two children and I stayed like kings right in the middle of Clarens. The location, clean and well appointed room, excellent service and first class breakfast made this an ideal overnight stay that I can recommend with conviction.
Also ideal for a larger group, such as a family.

The room was very neat and tastefully furnished. It was a very cold weekend, but there were heaters and lovely warm bedding that made me completely forget about the cold. Excellent lighting and plenty of room to put one's luggage. The latter is a problem in many guesthouses.
Trouble with WiFi, no TV, it said no DStv but SABC channels but we had no TV. Breakfast very pleasant. Had to ask for clean towels.
Room nr. 1 does not have a TV and you have to park on the street, so be warned if these things bother you.

The staff were great and accommodating and such a pleasure to deal with. Manager Vincent was excellent. The rooms were clean, cosy and huge and it had the best bathroom ever. Will definitely go back.
We stayed at 278 on Main in Dec 2016 for one night. The place has a restaurant on the ground floor and is the ideal place to stay while exploring Clarens. Our room was nicely decorated and clean. The staff are pleasant.

Very good location, nice rooms, and good restaurant. Big pity of limited TV channels and outdated television, does not match general feeling of luxury in room and restaurant at all.
The rooms are something different and very nice and as advertised. There was no internet in the room. The location is very good and within walking distance of all the important attractions.
