The house is within walking distance of the lake, where guests can fish, sail, and enjoy a variety of water activities. Guests can also bring their bicycles and explore the area this way. Guests can also make use of the resort's facilities which include a pool and a tennis court.

Note though, there is no TV or WiFi, it's quiet but can keep kids bored.
Very peaceful, breathtaking view. Just put in load shedding lights if you want to escape from the city's noise, this is the place.
Was nice, it would've been more amazing and nice if the host could have told us that the doors and windows need to be closed at certain times, bugs like 1000s of mosquitoes otherwise come in. Also electricity was finished at Saturday 11:30 in the evening, besides that the gas stove was great for mornings, yes that is a 10/10. People around are friendly. It was an okay stay, but not when you have a 4-month-old baby or children coming along.
Perfectly situated in the estate, close to the clubhouse and pool and the lagoon, the house is clean, neat and comfortable. Quite rare in holiday homes, the kitchen has everything you need and there are games and books to help make your stay more comfortable (and keep the kids busy!). Because of its position, the house is sheltered from the wind, which was a huge plus on the windy day we had during our stay. The wooden houses set among milkwood trees are quaint and remind me of Knysna. A cosy, lush getaway less than two hours from Cape Town! What's not to love?
A great family getaway for the weekend.
We had a pleasant stay, especially the peacefulness of the environment. The key box outside needs fixing. More dusting needed as there are quite a few spiderwebs on rails and dust on blinds. Top room with double bunks' blinds also require fixing.
Aircon would be a great addition.

Had an amazing getaway experience with friends, it was really value for money, the place was neat, clean, modern and there were a few upgrades from the pictures posted on the site which was a bonus, the built-in fire pit was perfect to sit around and just take in your surroundings. Everything we needed was available to us. We were allowed to make use of all the facilities that the resort had to offer and as well as take a walk to the lagoon and beach. The atmosphere was really serene. The host was extremely helpful and friendly when we needed any help. 10/10 would definitely recommend if you're looking for a break away from the city to kick back and relax.
It was a very relaxing weekend, enjoyed the nature and walking routes.
The lagoon is not suitable for playing with children, and the sea is a bit far from the cottage. But the rest was good.
What is needed in the place is wifi or dstv to keep the children busy.
The chalet is great, but not clean. Kitchen and bathroom floors dirty. All floors were generally dirty. Water in the kettle was filled with ants. Toaster was sticky with old food. After I cleaned the kitchen counters and floors properly, ants were no longer a problem.
No television very boring as my son is 6 and he would have enjoyed it more.
The place is beautiful, the weather was not nice but there was a lot to do. There were cards and games in the house which kept us entertained, the nice barbecue area was well used. There are 2 double rooms upstairs with a balcony, it was lovely to enjoy your morning coffee there. I would suggest this to friends and family anytime.
Beautiful wooden house in tree-rich area. It makes you feel so close to nature. It's just a short walk from the house to where the Bot River flows into the sea. The children had a great time playing in the trees and by the peaceful river. Everything feels so safe. The house is fully equipped with everything you would need. The beds are very comfortable. There are plenty of games and books for relaxation - but no TV, which didn't bother us at all. There is also a common clubhouse in the complex with tennis courts, a climbing frame and table tennis tables. It was a lovely stay and we will visit again!
The place is beautiful inside out. It's safe and secured environment. The neighborhood was friendly and made us feel at home. There's many activities to do. But this place is nice, if you wanna have a break from cities and all business around you.
It is a very nice place.
If you prefer a stay to disconnect from WiFi and TV. This is your place. Sound of the ocean and birds chirping in the background, ideal location. Tennis and swimming pool was great fun for kids.
While the instructions on how to get there are quite clear, the drive in can be quite an experience, especially at night if you don't have a GPS.
On arrival no key was found in the safe. Other arrangements had to be made so we could enter. The microwave was not working. The GPS coordinates is not updated.
2nd time coming to this place with my friends! Loved it and will continue to love! Highlight of the weekend was sitting on the shore of the lake in complete darkness and suddenly have this huge black horse chase us! Memories were made!

Enjoyed the stay and loved the available activities.
Loved the lagoon and flamingos on my early walk with my husband. Loved the sound of the waves when waking up. Wild horses was amazing to see as we drove up to the main gate. Pool area great!

The place speaks for itself.
It's beautiful, peaceful and very quiet. I felt it was just me and my boyfriend there. We had to go and buy a grill because we really wanted to barbecue, after buying the grill we discovered one next to the house, so please just be more specific about something like that.
The cabin is awesome. The only thing that I missed was the TV. To at least watch the news. But the stay was awesome. Loved the atmosphere.

Went away with some friends. Really had a great time. The house had everything we needed, even card games and a inflatable tube for water sports. Definitely coming back again! Literally the only thing that came close to spoiling a night were the gnats that were attracted to the light. But the house itself, amazing!

Very well equipped with everything you may possibly need. Wondefully quiet and I will definitely recommend this place to anyone. The recreation facilities were wonderful for the kids and everything else was very neat. It is also a nice distance from Hermanus.

Me and a few friends went to 28 Duiker last weekend for my husband's birthday. What a pretty little place. House is well equipped with everything needed. Everything neat, the perfect house to socialise around the camp fire. Already planning to go back there. Only thing that bothered was the service at the security gate which was very unprofessional. Yet it has nothing to do with the accommodation itself. Thank you Ruaan for the directions and all the help. Thank you also to LekkeSlaap for excellent service.

It was undoubtedly the most wonderful holiday in a very neat place to stay. Amenities were neat, everything was working and clean. There was nothing detracting from the holiday atmosphere. I would be able to recommend it to anyone who is looking for value for his money and who wants rest for his soul. The peace and quiet overshadow the relatively long distance that must be walked or driven to the beach.

The house has everything you need, except a TV for the windy and rainy days, if you are not going to have a TV please make sure the radio CD player works, it had no aerial so could not not pick up any stations properly.
