The home is beautiful, the art stunning, the accommodations are immaculate, and instructions were very helpful. He was very responsive when I had a question about the alarm system. Enjoyed exploring the town the next morning and found it to be an enclave that is quietly re-emerging very nicely.
We had a wonderful stay and managed to fit in some wine tasting and a special dinner in town.

Just perfect, adorable house, tastefully, lovingly furnished, and every detail thought of. Peaceful, tranquil garden, great beds, awesome pool, morning coffee on the front stoep. Walks during the day, and evening drinks with our feet in the pool. Thanks for a restful healing weekend. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer.

Our stay was very special. Neat, peaceful, safe, a blissful satisfaction, a place to stay where nothing is missing and everything has been thought of in detail to make the stay special, from the crisp linen to the delicious apricot jam!
I had an awesome stay! Beautiful house with great facilities. The host thought of everything and provided great items in the house. Small thoughtful touches, from coffee to bottled water to all the cleaning items you may need for dishes etc., and in the bathrooms as well, like spare toothbrushes, everything you can think of. I hardly needed to bring anything of my own, except some food items. Beautiful garden. I got lost in a beautiful dream sitting on the stoep drinking Campari and tonic! My kids had a ball of the time in the swimming pool and so did I.

The house has been very nicely restored. It is spacious. We often do tours in our country. This is one of the best we have come across. If the second bathroom was conventional, it would undoubtedly have earned a full 100%.

The house is stylishly furnished with neat bathroom facilities and quiet rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped for good cooking and barbecuing, with indoor and outdoor dining facilities. Location is excellent in a quiet side street but walking distance to places to eat and the wine farms Boplaas and the Krans. We would love to visit again.

3 Queen Street is the perfect choice if you want to stay in town in one of the traditional Calitzdorp houses. The house is very stylishly furnished with beautiful, antique furniture and quality linen. Definitely one of the most beautiful houses in town. Delicious coffee and biscuits were provided and there was very good communication.
We can recommend 3 Queen Steet anytime. The place is like being in your own home. There was not a lack of anything and the host was very friendly and helpful.
Very central and convenient to the wine tasting as well as excellent eateries. My husband, my 19 year old daughter and I, stayed for 2 nights. The house is clean, has excellent quality linen, air-con, gas heater, the bathrooms equipped with shampoo, soaps, sanitisers, cotton wool ear buds, body wash and large fluffy towels. The kitchen had ample bottled water, milk, tea, coffee Nespresso and some great rusks. It is well equipped for a great self catering stay. The garden, stoep, pool area and little courtyard must be heaven to spend time in during the warm summer months. It is situated in a quiet residential street, close to the Spar and some very very good places to eat. From the inquiry, to booking, to increasing our stay, to check out and arranging to have a forgotten item courier to us. Jaco keep us informed on the check in day with all necessary info needed to allow for a quick and easy check in. Even keeping us informed about the loadshedding status, although the house is ready for any loadshedding. Really felt like a real holiday, relaxing and so very quiet.

We and Buks (the Jack Russell) immediately felt at home. It's a beautiful old house, but with modern kitchen and bathrooms. Jako is the kind of host we like because he thinks ahead to all the little things. We will definitely stay there again.

A stunning property! We can most definitely recommend 3 Queen Street in Calitzdorp! It is a beautiful, tastefully decorated home with an amazing succulent garden! It is also pet-friendly and my two Miniature Schnauzers loved it - as did my husband and I!

Although it's great to be completely independent in having a place to stay, the no-contact manner (because of Covid) made it feel a little impersonal. Every communication digital, but a really wonderful, brief stay in a beautiful house.
The walking distance tasting rooms make it easy to safely taste wines and port on foot, without getting behind the wheel of your car. One can also pick fruits on the nearby farm. It's a nice stopover on the beautiful R66 route.
