We were warmly received by Annelie and Lood. I was surprised at how well equipped the unit was, with only the best. Annelie thinks of everything. Until toothpaste and a new toothbrush, you would forget yours. Our car could be parked in the garage and there are beams around the unit for absolute safety.

Was our wedding anniversary and was surprised with chocolates and 2 flying fish and a miniature butter knife. The place is spaciously mixed with modern and antique cupboards. Haven't seen so many types of teas and coffees even cappuccino in a place of residence in years. Very clean and tidy.
Friendly host and hostess. They really think of everything, flask of boiled water when load shedding kicks in at 6am, welcome gifts, to mosquito 'muti'. Just missed a good bed though, but would definitely stay there again.
Besides the picturesque accommodation, the hosts were amazing! The thought that went into the little things, like our welcome drink, milk in fridge, water, coffee, tea, face creams, bug sprays, the list goes on, we had an amazing stay for sure!

The owners are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Our car was very safe in a lock up garage. The unit is spacious, airy, fresh and clean, and comfortably furnished with everything needed for self-catering. The guest house is in a beautiful, leafy part of Swellendam. We would like to stay there again anytime.

It's a shared house. There are other tenants, but don't let that change your mind. it's a beautiful home that's well-maintained. The hosts put a lot of effort into keeping it good-looking. there is a wonderful balcony to relax on and view the mountains. there is a spacious dining room and lounge. The rooms are immaculate and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, even going so far as to phone me one night after dark as he knew I was going hiking and hadn't returned home yet (I stopped at the restaurant in town) just to make sure I wasn't hurt. I had a lovely few nights there and would return if I was in the area again.

We had a whole upstairs room to ourselves and the owners were extremely helpful with everything. In the evening they even lit a fire for us. View also beautiful.
Although it was for business, we had so much fun in the evening after work. The guesthouse owners made us feel so at home and we didn't even feel loadshed because the fire was burning nicely and the lights were always ready! The chats were so good that 2 hours are over. Apart from Annelie and Lood being very hospitable, the stay was the best! Everything neat and clean with plenty of extra pampering that I didn't even have to pay for. One of them was delicious Swellendam filter coffee! Absolutely supernatural. It was wonderful to be able to sit on the veranda every morning and enjoy coffee and rusks and look at the magnificent mountain. Wish I could enjoy that treat every morning. There was secure parking (in a garage) for my car and they are very centrally located. I will certainly never stay somewhere else, affordable and wonderful. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Annelie and Lood are two lovely people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our accommodation was clean, tidy, private and furnished with all the facilities we needed. There is a beautiful view of the mountain from the living room and a lovely fireplace. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend it.

Lood and Annalie's hospitality was the highlight. The room was well furnished, clean and met our needs. Lood told us so much about the area. The coffee and rusks were wonderful on a cold morning after a sound night's rest.
In general, I don't stay in guest houses, because sometimes I feel like I'm intruding on other people's privacy or I feel they're intruding on mine, but I had to pinch myself more than once to realize I'm not at home or not with my parents. The hostess is wonderful. I had my own part of the house with a huge living room, patio door to the porch looking at the beautiful mountains, own bathroom, kettle and everything for coffee. I never felt like I was in a guest house. It was delicious and I would recommend it to any visitor. There was even a cold beer in the fridge.

Lichtenstein 30 is excellently located in a quiet part of Swellendam with a beautiful view, close to hiking and mountain bike trails as well as the historic core of the town. It is a well-kept home with high-quality amenities and hospitality that envelops you from arrival to departure. There is a huge fireplace just waiting to be lit, lots of books and information brochures about the town and surroundings and knowledgeable owners who are willing to help with queries and requests. We only stayed one night there, but left friends who will be happy to visit us again. Besides, we now know what else there is to do in Swellendam and where the best place to stay is. Thank you very much Lead and Annelie.
My short stay at 30 Lichtenstein was simply wonderful! The beautifully luxurious accommodation and extra facilities such as a lovely large and private "living room", incredible view from the large balcony and the garden corner for guests contribute to the fact that one can relax. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful, but respected guests' privacy. Everything I needed was provided. Highly recommended for anyone - including people with children.
