"Lovely family memories on the sea with a lovely view and superbly equipped house."

We really enjoyed our time at Kusweg 303. The house has an excellent location and is very well equipped. There is an extra freezer which was convenient for us who came to visit as a family for 3 weeks. The house is clean and tidy with a garden for children or a small pet. We would love to be back again and highly recommend for a nice break on the beach.

Carpets in rooms are a big no. Master bedroom's carpet smells bad (perhaps musty). Braai area was dirty and garden untidy with lots of Wendy houses in backyard. For the amount they charge you expect more. You want to feel like you are in your own home with white bedding and updated bathrooms, except if you pay half the price you can probably expect less. Master bedroom's shower drain lies in the shower and is not in the hole. The cleaner also left many things undone. It's probably not the owner's fault, they're going to get newer cleaners. No, I don't want to wear pads in the room and shower if I go away for 2 weeks. We cut our visit short and came home.

The unit was not cleaned when we got there and I had to make calls to report it. We then had to drive around again and wait for the cleaning team to finish. The cleaning crew did not wash the windows at all and they were very dirty. Furthermore, there was no cleaning service during our 14 day stay. It doesn't make any sense to me, at least once or twice during our stay would have been welcome. There is a nice utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer that worked well. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The living room was comfortable and had a TV with DStv. The wooden deck at the front door is damaged and could cause injury. I suggest this should be looked into (loose boards). The unit has carpets that are not very clean and the unit's plumbing is a problem - drains that drain slowly, odors in the master bedroom toilet and leaks in the second bathroom toilet. The dishwasher did not clean the dishes and cannot be used. Only 5 out of the 6 beds were covered and made - luckily we were only 4 people and not 6, otherwise someone wouldn't have had a bed. If you like a hard, uncomfortable bed, then this is the place for you. Garden behind the braai place is very neglected. I recommend that guests look at other accommodation in Kusweg Tergniet instead - there are other places that are more affordable and better value for money.
