38 guests' feedbackWe had a great holiday at 4 Summer Place. It's central to everything, which gave us a variety of things to do. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. We felt safe there with security patrolling often. The beach was great. The jungle-gym could be upgraded for safety for the kids. Also, I would suggest WiFi. But overall, a wonderful stay there and would definitely be back. Angelique was amazing and offered us such great service; she was instrumental in our decision to go to 4 Summer Place because of her helpfulness.

It is very convenient to shops, the Ski-boat club etc. We have also stayed in this unit before.
The unit needs major repairs. The security gate is rusted and a health hazard. The floor tiles in the lounge are loose, and the fan and light stopped working halfway through our visit. The walls and curtains are dirty. The kitchen utensils, such as the can opener and breadbin, cannot be used as they are rusted. The stove is rusted, and when you switch the oven on, there is a strong burning smell. The main en-suite is not user-friendly. The shower cannot be used without soaking the entire bathroom. There is no space on the basin for hand soap or to brush your teeth. The towel rail is short, with no space to hang a second towel. The light in the dressing room is hanging out of the wall on wires. The blankets smell musty, and the patio cushions are full of mould. The patio awning leaks when it rains so much so that you cannot make use of the patio on rainy days. There are limited sea views, and the swimming pool is not big enough for the number of occupants.
We had a great time here, outside area is nice and cozy where family and friends can sit around a table and enjoy the outdoor sea air, men had fun fishing from the beach which is only a short walk away. Restaurant right next to us with the tastiest food. Best sunrise on the beach, open space with the kitchen and living area, beds are very comfortable and storage space for your clothes, as well as kitchen storage space is more than enough. Angelique was very friendly and helpful with the arrangements. We will definitely visit again. Nice for family with children. Thank you.

Walking distance to beach very convenient. The land unit was just right for us and close to the pool and braai area. We rested well.
There are children right in front of the unit (on the outside) who came daily to spray in the bushes which was unpleasant.

4 Summer Place was one of my favourite places to go to on holiday and will go there again.
On arrival, the place was clean and neat. The pool is awesome and the braai area is great. Definitely worth it.
The unit is spacious and tidy, it is located very close to the beach and also a lot of shops so there is no need to get in your car to drive anywhere.
As a family we enjoyed our vacation. It is all one could expect and would recommend Summer Place to anyone for a planned vacation.

We have been staying at Summer Place since 1984 and since our first visit I can only say that now in 2018 the same if not better standard is maintained in terms of buildings and grounds!
Very neat and comfortable to stay at. Close to everything and safe. Close to a nice beach and seeing boats launch. Affordable. Will come again next year.
The owner provided wonderful service. The owner put us so at ease to go on holiday and the place was beautiful and clean, everything and more was in the place to enjoy the holiday and kitchen has everything I could think of to use for cooking, and to a iron was in place. Had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend 4 Summer Place.

Apart from the fact that we enjoyed it, the ground floor has no sea view. It rained all weekend so we wanted to barbecue but couldn't use the barbecue area at all because it has no covers and you are not allowed to barbecue on the veranda.
I will definitely check in there again, what an awesome place.
We had the most amazing time here. Everything is so close to each other. The beach is literally 20 feet from you. Swimming pool was nice and clean. Garden was well taken care of. The flat was nice and tidy and everything was clean and in place. When you sit outside you can overlook the playground and the braai area, which is perfect to keep a look out for the little ones. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and we will most certainly visit again. Thank you, Michelle.
This place is lovely by the sea and it's great to hear the sea from your room. The house is very neatly maintained and it's great to have a parking space right in front of the door. The house is equipped with everything and it's great to have 2 bathrooms although the cold tap in one bathroom doesn't want to work very well. But otherwise it is a good residence to stay in. The shops are very close, walking distance actually. It's a shame that it rained in the evenings and because of that we couldn't do much in the evenings. We will recommend this property to other people.

It was so enjoyable, clean and very safe. The guard does the rounds on the hour. Very close to the beach. It was so nice and we would definitely visit again. Michelle was very professional and helpful with everything. Shops, mall and doctors right across the road! Margate's main beach is a 15 - 20 minute drive away! Was really amazing!

Definitely value for money. Really enjoyed the stay and would like to use the accommodation again. Felt safe and was so impressed with how the apartment was equipped. There were even candles provided that we could use during load shedding. Got much more than we hoped for.

Unfortunately no towels in accommodation which we were not informed about. Also no trace of a bar of soap or washing-up liquid that one would expect to find in a self-catering unit. Housekeeping brought us 2 brown crocheted stained towels late Friday afternoon to use for showering after our trip to Shelly Beach. TV also has very few channels to choose from. Curtains in rooms were also very flimsy in my opinion.
