Worth every cent. Close to everything. Most beautiful view ever. There was everything one could need and more. The children have the extra sitting area above their beds with their own breathtaking view. Indoor braai is great and the full DStv package was perfect.
Excellently equipped self-catering unit, neat and comfortable.
Great, just difficult to use with loadshedding around the house, especially if you have elderly people or children with you and taking luggage on and off. A little more time should be allowed (if there is loadshedding) for departure time.
Spacious unit. Our 5 persons were never in each other's 'path'. Very nice to barbecue inside and hang out on the enclosed balcony with the most beautiful sunsets. High quality furniture and equipment and every possible thing that might be needed is there. Silver clean and well maintained.

The unit is very well equipped. Unfortunately, the dishwasher was out of order, and the fridge shelf was cracked and broken. We also couldn't find a hair dryer in the unit. There is also an inverter and music center in the unit.
We want to thank Pieter for his friendly service and kindness. We felt spoiled since the moment we arrived. All the small details were appreciated. The place was neat and cosy, the beds were comfortable and the indoor braai provided a special ambiance. The views were spectacular, we could not get enough. We often visit Velddrif region, but I can say that we were once again blown away by the natural beauty. Harbour Lights are centrally located and we felt safe at all times. It is also in walking distance to the restaurants and river port. We will definitely recommend Harbour Lights to our family and friends and we looking forward to visit again. A big thank you.

What could be better than visiting one of the most beautiful places on the west coast? Port Owen itself is a quiet cute place. Harbor Lights is so convenient and walking distance from the nicest restaurants with the most delicious dishes. We only stayed one night and are so sorry we didn't book longer. Pieter helps you with everything and sends you links of places nearby. Jolene his help booked us in and out easily and helped with everything. The accommodation itself is so beautiful with the most beautiful view. The children enjoy the loft and their own space. We will definitely visit there again in the future. Thank you very much for an excellent piece of jewel on our beautiful coast!

Harbor Lights is truly one of the nicest places to live that we have visited. The view is very beautiful, you are walking distance from a cafe, gin tasting, beer and pizzas and then also a nice putt-putt course! Definitely a nice place to rest!

We really enjoyed the stay, but the rooms were badly laid out for 2 girlfriends and 4 children.
Neat place and inverter and extra rechargeable lights help a lot with load shedding. The plate at the bottom of the braai was completely rusted and made braai difficult to make coals.
The place was advertised with a view of the water and boats, but upon arrival we were told that we could not open the blinds because they were broken. So the beautiful view is gone. Then the bath's cold tap didn't work at all either. No cold water. The toilet in the master bathroom was leaking. The boiler's on and off button is faulty.

There was a small problem with the dishwasher and one of the roller blinds in the braai room, however nothing serious, just small fixing ups to be done. Other than that, perfect.

This is the most suitable vacation spot we have ever visited. The view over the boats, the sea and the location of the house was exceptional. Was verras oor die pragtige woonstel. Die games room en pedal boats moes deel van pakket gewees het en ook 'n bootrit dit sou fantastic gewees het. Maar overall sal ons beslis weer terugkom. Het alreeds baie navrae gehad deur family and friends and gave the details so expect more inquiries for Velddrif.

The unit was very nice and well equiped.
The apartment is well situated with a great view. Well appointed and comfortable. I am 73 with bad knees and selected the unit as it is wheelchair friendly with a lift. However, the lift was not working and apparently, according to the unit's cleaners, has not been working for 2 months. So we had to struggle with our food, drinks, luggage etc. up and down 3 flights of stairs. When I complained to the owner he offered 2 midweek nights free. Doesn't suit us as our friends work. Offered 2 more nights in the unit free - still with no lift! I would not book this unit. The owner doesn't live there and doesn't know if the lift works or not.
The fact the we could pay extra for a garage (with a trolley inside the garage to use for all your stuff to the 3rd floor) was great! Unfortunately there was loadshedding during our stay and then you have to use the steps. Good exercise but very dark. Thanks for cell phones! A bit difficult with all the steps to get to the bedroom (loft) as most of us are in our 70's and at night a bit difficult.
We can absolutely recommend the apartment! It feels like your own home, just in a different place with a very nice view! Everything a guy needs is there!
The unit is fully equipped with absolutely everything we needed. The cleanliness, clean linen and towels and perfect working order of everything stood out. The kitchen is fully equipped and there were cremation factors such as biscuits and coffee put out for us which made you feel special. This unit is absolutely value for money and can be highly recommended.
I had never been to Velddrif/ Port Owen before and didn't know what to expect. The hostess, Melani, was excellent. She came to drop off the key upon our arrival. Was deliciously spoiled with coffee, biscuits and chocolate in the apartment. The apartment is very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Everything you need is there and the view was breathtaking. Will definitely want to stay longer next time.

Stunning spacious flat, beds perfect, lovely view.
One cannot overstate it. One just has to come and experience it. I am in love with the accommodation "Harbor Lights filled with luxurious yachts" and the whole environment. It is also centrally located to surrounding towns such as Laaiplek, (2km) Dwarskersbos, Elandsbaai and St. Helena bay to visit. The unique historic "Bokkom Lane" and wetlands visit called us back to give the smaller children an opportunity to fish while we could enjoy a beer and coffee on one of the jetties.
Since we arrived at Harbour Lights, Melanie gave us a warm welcome. The unit was very clean and not dusty at all. All of the windows were washed and very clean. The small details were great like the chocolates on the bed, the rusks, coffee, milk, napkins and also the fire lighters. We will definitely be back.
The flat is very well equipped. Feels very homely will visit again. The host was very friendly, she phoned the Saturday morning to find out if all was OK.

Very clean, well equipped and beautifull view and very nice setting of sleeping arrangements for 8 people and very good service to get in and out of apartment and very nice restaurants and small supermarket to buy from “ice to wood”, very nice walkways along the marina and will recommend it to our friends and use it again, thank you!

Harbor Lights has a lovely barbecue area with a wonderful view of the harbour, is centrally located and was very tidy. Would recommend it for sure.
If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, Harbor Lights is the right place for you. Very nice view. House is clean, comfortable with all accessories you may need. Decor is beautiful and carefully selected.
The apartment is really nice for a weekend getaway. It has everything you need. The kitchen cabinets are very full, as well as on top, so there isn't a lot of space for your food, bur there is storage space under the stairs. I would have placed the ice machine next to the braai so that there is more space to make coffee and for the bread bin next to the basin isn't practical either. Parking can also be an issue for 2 families. The beds and linen smelled clean and fresh. The hostess is also very nice. It is a very nice place and we will stay there again.
Nice place to go to for a holiday. The only thing is that you don't have your own jetty to tie your boat up to when you're not using it. All the jetties are privately owned.
The owners really ensured that the accommodation was comfortable with more than the basic requirements provided to ensure that holidaymakers stay would be enjoyable. The view over the marina area and lagoon area in the background portrayed picture perfect from the top floor apartment. Only downside is when wind blows back door need to be opened as less as possible and parking provided for one vehicle per unit only thus no additional parking provided in complex for other vehicles of group/visitors which need to park outside gate area. R450 cleaning fee applicable.
The hostess has little things that just put the accommodation in a different class, such as the type of products in the bathrooms, all the candles, games to play. Delicious. The place is beautiful and there was more than enough entertainment for us for a nice weekend. Will definitely recommend them and visit again myself.
The place needs a thorough cleaning, for the price it should at least be decently clean, the braai also cannot be used when the wind blows - the smoke and ash blow back into the living area.

We had a great time at Harbor Lights. The children especially admired the view from the balcony. Harbor Light is very central as we visited a few places nearby. The reception was good and the place is very neat. Just a pity we couldn't stay longer due to other commitments.
