We had a very nice stay at the guest house. The staff is very friendly!
The basics are there. Don't expect more.
On our arrival we did have a few issues. They were telling me my payment was still outstanding, I had to show the lady twice my proof of payment on my mails. I guess there was just a lack of communication. We definitely enjoyed the stay, all the best in the new year.
The hostesses did not know about our reservation when we arrived. The rooms were very basic, but neat. The yard was unfortunately quite a mess. I did not feel comfortable parking my vehicle in the yard overnight. The 1 meter high wall on the main street does not offer much security. The hostess who poked her head through the window early in the morning to see if we were still in the room did not contribute much to the feeling of safety.
The owner was never available. The place looks like in the picture, but als is older and well used, the shower leaks. The sounds and words of the neighbors on both sides are very clearly audible through the doors that separate rooms/apartments. No privacy.
The owners' hospitality is top notch and we left as friends. The accommodation is somewhat cramped, some comfy chairs would be welcome, otherwise clean and tidy. Given the rate, I can recommend it.
There is secure parking. It's pet friendly, although I didn't have my dog there myself, it's fully fenced. There are benches in the garden. The private entrances to each room are wonderfully private.
We were a large group booked in for a wedding The groom got dressed there and the hostess put so much effort into making his room extra special. Some of our group were overseas guests and they were very impressed with the place. Definitely value for money.
We had to stay over for a wedding and it was totally worth it. Only thing I would advise them to change is a bigger TV in the room.

Friendly people and a neat apartment with all the amenities, just too close to busy traffic for my liking.
Room very small. Very little room to move around the cots. No relaxation space in room. Just enjoyed our coffee on a bench in the driveway. Two mismatched old wooden beds, probably formerly bunk beds. Bedding was clean but "old". White bedding would have been better. Bathroom new and neat.
Suggest for gas stove to provide for such times as we had no morning coffee due to the loadshedding. We were in Humansdorp with a church function and had to wash with cold water and no coffee in the morning.
