Enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean in a good area. Most of the things we wanted to do were nearby.
Great location with access to the promenade. Beautiful apartment with ample space to accommodate the family.
On arrival the 1 receptionist was terribly unfit and curt. Said they have been waiting for us since the previous day. Apparently owner also there and said we were a day late so permit was given to me and said we had to go out the 2nd. I said it was wrong, she then gave an email where the dates were wrong. I then showed my reservation and insisted that she issue another permit. She also did not give the cleaner the correct dates. Extremely unprofessional.
We had an amazing weekend, everything that we needed was there.
The view over the sea is breathtakingly beautiful. The apartment is spacious and very tidy. The children enjoyed the balcony playing with their toys.

Licorna Beach is within walking distance of the beach and of Umhlanga's good restaurants (1.5 km). Licorna Beach apartments (the block) need attention and are only slightly weathered. The apartment itself has a nice sea view and is well equipped with fans and air conditioning in the main bedroom and living area. The place itself was probably renovated not too long ago, but the furniture looks a bit tired and the place itself not the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I felt like I paid too much for what I got. Maybe the good environment and location justifies it, but the place itself is in my opinion maybe in need of a "revamp" and good cleaning.
We received the key from the gentleman doing the garden. There was no one checking on us the whole weekend. They cleaned our room. No clean towels. One-ply toilet papers. One person had to sleep on the sleeper couch, it was old and the leg broken - still had to pay for it. When we called the owner she was very rude on the phone. I am saying on the phone because we never saw her. Overall the service was bad.
It was the dirtiest unit I've ever seen. When we arrived at 17:00 we sent photos of the dirty toilets, bathrooms, floors and cupboards as well as the beds not made to the owner. The unit was supposed te be cleaned everyday, but the cleaner didn't pitch and we had to clean ourselves. Safety was also an issue. You couldn't get into the unit because the guard was no where to be found and we had to phone people for 45 minutes to eventually open the gate for us. The building's stairs are dirty and in a bad state. I will never stay there again. Will not recommend to anyone.
