Very neat and tasteful, with all the necessary accessories. Fireplace is very effective. Everything is in neat and working condition. Close to town and restaurants, walking distance, yet far enough with beautiful views and privacy.
It was an amazing place. Really convenient as you can walk to the town square. Very nicely decorated and had everything we needed for the weekend. The kids had plenty of space upstairs, and the bedroom downstairs was very comfortable.
What a gem. Exceeded all expectations.

We had a wonderful time at 414 Rose Cottage. The view from the porch was so beautiful. The place was very neat and very cutely decorated. We loved the space and the owners really went the extra mile and provided fresh water, ice, coffee, tea, sugar, and even spices. You can't ask for better. The location is perfect for walking to town, restaurants, and the nature reserve's walking trails. We intend to book 414 Rose Cottage every time we stay in Clarens. We plan to visit 414 Rose Cottage next winter to use the fireplace. Wonderful place!

I would give no stars for 414 Rose Cottage if I could. Very disappointing place for the following reasons. Plug points in the house were faulty and caused the house to trip. The tumble dryer was not working and caused the house to trip. The electric blanket was not working. DSTV was not working due to unpaid account. No service from management whatsoever. We were told by management to contact the owner directly, and when the owner contacted us back, we were told we are "lying" about everything not working when in fact a photo of the error message on DSTV was sent. The owner was rude and would not assist us in any way. We will never stay there ever again and would not recommend the place!

Great value for money! A beautiful view, neat and with excellent amenities. Only a few minutes walk away from the restaurants and shops.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously. What made it even more special was the fact that we could take our two fur babies with us. The cottage is perfectly equipped to make your stay comfortable. Everything is within walking distance without the noise of the businesses. We will definitely be returning for another getaway.
My husband and I travel a lot and sleep over a lot in various places for work and Rose Cottage was a very pleasant surprise. We are definitely going back for vacation. The house is beautiful, clean and has everything needed and so much more. In the future we will first check if Rose Cottage is available when we come to Clarens again.
It's our second visit to 414 Rose and we are once again impressed with the cottage. It is spacious and comfortably furnished. Especially the dishwasher is a plus. The beautiful view of the mountains makes the veranda a lovely, peaceful place to hang out and the native plants attract sugar beaks to the garden. We will definitely visit again.

The second we walked in we loved the house, everything a home needs this house had, it has dishwasher, washer & dryer in the laundry room, we enjoyed the fireplace, large dining table. The area is quiet, safe and walking distance to the shops (closes 16:00). But we were under the impression that we're getting a garage a closed garage but it was still safe. If i ever decide to build a house am copying everything about this home. I'd love to come back.
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was spacious for three guests and the fireplace was a lovely plus.
The house is comfortably and modernly furnished with everything you will need: microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Solar lights also helped with the cut-throat load shedding schedule. Even though Clarens was freezing cold in the dead of winter, there were lovely cuddly down duvets and electric blankets. We also used the fireplace daily. The cottage is within walking distance of the town center but just outside the hustle and bustle of the business district. The lovely view over the mountains is unbeatable. We would definitely like to stay here again.

We stayed at Rose Cottage for 5 days. Because we had to work, I had to choose accommodation with good WiFi and the necessary self-catering facilities. Rose Cottage was perfect with secure parking and walking distance to town. The house inside is new, very clean with everything you might need for self-catering.

Very nice and well furnished and equipped accommodation with a fantastic view! Hot water for bath and shower was unfortunately only a problem. Two people couldn't really shower back to back because the second person who showered had to settle for lukewarm water, and unfortunately a lack of sufficient hot water is a problem in a town like Clarens which in the winter months can get freezing cold.
Cottage has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Beautifully furnished and maintained. Setting is idyllic.
Rose Cottage exceeded all our expectations. The house offered everything and more for our getaway weekend. We would definitely rather stay there for a week or two. The house is very well equipped from kitchen to bathrooms. The location of the place is perfect, close enough to walk to restaurants but far enough to not be able to hear noise.
Would stay there again knowing that unfortunately it is a main route for taxis and workers and beggars. Beautiful, neat and clean and comfortable.
Will definitely use the accommodation again next year.
