The house comprises 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge that opens onto a large deck. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and a fireplace, and the en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, a bath, and a toilet. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed and a fan, while the third air-conditioned bedroom is furnished with a king-size. The fourth bedroom opens onto a stoep, and is furnished with 2 three-quarter beds. The second bathroom is fitted with a double shower and a toilet. For convenience, linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a gas stove, an electric oven, a fridge-freezer, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a separate scullery is available.
Guests can relax in the lounge which is equipped with a cosy seating area, a TV, a cosy fireplace, and free Wi-Fi access is available.
The living area opens onto the deck with seating, braai facilities, a self-service bar with a fridge-freezer, all overlooking the mountains where guests can enjoy the sunsets. A lapa and boma with braai facilities, and a pool table is also available for guests to use.
Secure undercover parking is provided behind an electric gate, and the premises is fitted with CCTV cameras.
Sabie offers various guests a choice of restaurants, activities and attractions, and guests can go golfing, fishing, swimming, boating, white-water rafting, bird watching, hiking, abseiling, and more. Attractions in the area include the Horseshoe Falls, the Lone Creek Waterfall and the lovely Bridal Veil Falls which can be reached by a walk or hike along the Sabie River.

Hospitality was great - we were welcomed and our request to check in a bit earlier was accommodated - appreciate the great service!
We had a lovely stay at 49 on Main. Franscois was a great host. The location is great as it is on the main road which takes you straight to Graskop and other main routes. It is also within walking distance from a lot of places which are worth a visit like Petena's Pancakes and the Sabie Brewery next door. Definitely recommended.
We loved our stay there, and Francois is very professional. Next year we will be staying there again for our Lowvel race.
The place is very shabby - the owners plan to restore it soon.

House rules
- Please note that the house offers self-catering accommodation and therefore does not include meals or cleaning services.- The owners and their pets live in a freestanding apartment behind the house on the premises and since the pets roam freely, other pets are unfortunately not allowed. The pets are however kept aside where possible and will not bother guests unnecessarily during their stay.
- 49 on Main is secured with closed circuit television. No cameras inside the house for privacy at all times.
- The house rules are handed over to guests upon check-in or can be forwarded via WhatsApp before arrival.
- Disclaimer forms are signed upon check-in.
- Wood for the fireplaces is available at an extra cost per bag.
- Bed linen and one towel per guest are provided upon arrival.
- Basic cleaning products and equipment such as a broom, mop, bucket and trash bags are available in the house.
- Linen is not changed daily, but a washing machine is available. There is no tumble dryer.
- Basic necessities during load shedding include rechargeable lights, candles, and a UPS for the WiFi. The gas stove still works during load shedding.
