Myself and my three bridesmaids stayed at 5 Mountains Lodge & Spa the night before my wedding, and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was incredible; they went beyond expectations to make sure we were comfortable and make our stay memorable. They were also incredibly accommodating to my photographer and make-up artist, allowing us so much room and extra rooms to use for any getting ready photos. In total, it was just an amazing stay. My bridal party already said they would love to go back any time.
5 Mountains was a good option for me and my husband's getaway but I was disappointed that the spa was not open during our stay. I feel we would get much better value for money if it was open and don't understand why the spa is open during December/January holidays. The accommodation was indeed cute but the facilities and all are starting to show their age.
Definitely not value for money, we paid almost for 2 nights of which only accommodation was included. Everything is extra, breakfast, braai utilities. We specifically requested the Iris cottage according to the photos advertised. However, it was not at all the case. There was no jacuzzi on the veranda as advertised, the view was of storage containers, no bath as per the advert also. We were given plastic knives, forks, and plates in our room. The place was not prepared at all. We had a lovely lady assisting in everything on her own, for the entire lodge. The spa was not in working progress, also falsely advertised as though it's a permanent service. The pool was dirty, we had to ask them to put the pump on. They sent a tenant living on the premises to come and clean the pool, which, let me add, was doing this for 2 hours. Not a friendly person at all, it was so unprofessional!
Bi place's photos show a delicious menu and that you can enjoy all meals there. we couldn't even get barbecue suits to barbecue ourselves on the first night, next day we wanted to order a cheese board by the pool, no cheese. this while the owner does not appear at all and ignores all guests. totally overpaid.
The service had been exceptional.
The unit was really nice and modern. Beds very comfortable and service excellent. We arrived late, but they served us a delicious platter in the room. All that was slightly disappointing was the mountain view which is unfortunately obstructed by the neighbour's trees and storage.
The stay was really great and everything was very neat and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for our purposes. The only negative is that the shower water was not really hot (was very lukewarm), especially on the Sunday morning before we left.

Received very good and friendly service when we got there. Everything was nicely laid out and explained about how it works there. The unit had air conditioning and the day was hot when we arrived so that was a definite plus and the bed was lovely with an excellent mattress!
Clean rooms and a good setup for guests to use the facilities such as the pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub. The Spa is a bonus. The staff was very friendly. However, negative aspects must be mentioned. Our bed in Iris cottage needs to be replaced urgently. It detracts from the whole experience. Entire bed was crooked, dented in the middle and caused a bad sleeping experience. The insistence on charging a corkage fee if you were to use your own wine or alcohol in your own cottage is outrageous. Understandable if you would like to use your own wine in the restaurant.
Will definitely recommend 5 Mountains. The service received was fantastic.
Anna was incredibly hospitable and helpful. Very convenient in Roses Cottage. Breakfast was delicious and the area is beautiful. Will recommend without a doubt.

Had a lovely time. Anna and staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make it comfortable for us. Staff give a homely atmosphere and food was delicious! Cottage was clean, lovely furnished. Braai facilities are nicely prepared for us. Nice for a break from the city. Baby-friendly too.

The cottage we stayed in was spacious and well maintained. Spa facilities great option - unfortunately stay was too short to use them. Breakfast was delicious. Staff friendly and very helpful.
It was an awesome time at the lodge. The cottage with our own hottub was really something else. All that bothered us is that it says on the website that rate includes free 25 min spa treatment of our choice, but we never received it it was not available to us. We were disappointed by this as we were really looking forward to it as it was our 4 year wedding anniversary. Furthermore, everything was very nice and service was very good and everyone was friendly.
We visited 5 Mountains for our wedding anniversary and can definitely recommend the lodge. Location is ideal for a quick getaway from the Cape for the weekend.

It was a good place to sleep for one night, but the wooden floors creak terribly when you walk on them, but it still offers value for money.
The location was amazing; the room tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable. Only negatives were the slightly slippery floor in our room; and we really did only want one egg not two for our breakfast:)
