Self-catering kitchen well equipped. Penthouse family room where we spent the night is very nice. Decor beautiful and tasteful. The children thoroughly enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi. Would definitely recommend it. Will stay there again for sure!
Lots of dust on furniture, old used soap in bathroom
Very disappointed. The ceiling was dirty and so was the bathroom. The bar of soap looked like it was used a few times before our visit and the beds were uncomfortable. Not value for money.
We were not at all satisfied with the room, carpet was dirty, no bedside tables, bedside lamps, or dressing table, loose electrical wires, open power plug, no shelves in closet, personal things in closet, wet paint. Being dissatisfied, we decided not to stay for 3 nights even though we paid for the full 3 days. We asked for our money back but they said according to the cancellation policy they are not going to do that. We originally only booked for 2 nights for 2 people but called on the 22nd August and asked to change it to 3 adults for 3 nights. Lizelle told me it wasn't a problem. They will just move us to another bigger room! Asked for invoice, but got nothing. I was told I had to pay R2000 in cash because they don't have card facilities. Then did EFT August 22nd. Now they say they offered us The Penthouse? At a much cheaper price, but that was not the case. They did recommend another guest house, but we just didn't want to use their services any further because we were already disappointed! Very bad experience.

The owners make you feel at home in their guesthouse. Stunning rooms and nice breakfast. We had a great stay.
Salome took care of personal reception. The guest house is within reach of most destinations within Sasolburg. Amenities are clean, not modern, but very comfortable for a quick overnight stay if you are in the area on business. Can be described as a 2-star establishment.
Accommodation was neat and clean. Owners are very hospitable. Just think that it is a little expensive, but will recommend it for overnight.
The accommodation was comfortable in a lovely setting (garden). The owner was very hospitable and provided us with a delicious breakfast each day. Sasolburg would not be my choice of place to stay, but if you need to stay there, 52 Oaks is a great place to stay.
The reception and helpfulness was fantastic. I honestly felt it was very good value for money. I would recommend the place for sure. As someone who spends a lot of time in guesthouses, I would definitely put this one at the top of my list. The full DStv is a big bonus especially when looking at the price. The owner is very proud of what they have and this is reflected in the rooms. Thank you very much for a pleasant experience and will definitely see you again.
From the reception to the breakfast, this was a pleasant experience: tidy accommodation, pleasant company and safe parking.
