This was my first holiday in 8 years with my entire family. After Covid, it went backwards, and this year, June 2024 - things have improved so much. My husband, son (11) and daughter (19). It was a joy of fun and the kids loved the pool on bad, cloudy and windy days. We walked to the beach and had a swim a few times. Shops, restaurants, café, mall, bar, kids' waterslides, all within a 1 km distance. Thank you all for allowing us there and for sure will be saving for a holiday soon for 2025.
The apartment is well located, close to everything. We were also received kindly and checked in quickly.

I feel that there is nobody to meet you when you arrive. You need to take the safe from the safe, fill in a list that takes 1 and a half hours to fill in. You have to check each and every item in the flat to give the owner an idea of what is happening in the flat. There is nobody to check when you leave. This leaves room open for unnecessary problems where the owner can claim that things are broken after you leave. I didn't like spending 90 minutes to check every little thing in every room after a 6-hour drive.
2nd time we stay here. Hopefully there will be room again next year! Close to the beach. Safe. Most beautiful sea view.
Would definitely be back again. We surprised my daughter for a weekend away for her 18th birthday. We had so much fun. It's a lovely place to stay at. Very clean and excellent service.
Pleasantly surprised with the w/s. Fantastic unobstructed sea view and safety was of a high standard. Very centrally located and exit directly on the beach. Thanks to the owner who responded so quickly to the broken faucet in the kitchen. Everything needed was in the w/s and everything was nice and clean. Definitely recommend and we will definitely stay there again.

The place is well equipped and tidy. The security at the entrances is good and the building as a whole is well looked after. Currently there is a major painting and maintenance project underway.

It's our 2nd holiday at Stella Maris Amanzimtoti. We prefer the place to stay because the location. The Pub & Grill served us very well with their delicious food. From samoosas to delicious burgers. They also delivered the food without any extra charges. The balcony is a bit small, and would prefer a larger balcony where you can sit comfortably and perhaps have a private barbecue. We were very happy with our stay December 2022.
Because of dreadful weather we spent more than usual time in the apartment and found it more than adequate for our needs and with good access to shops etc.

The blankets and ironing board can only be replaced. It just looks bad and no pendant looks the same or is good quality. Maybe also pay attention to the "mould" on the shower door etc. Pyrex bowl dirt. And there is a smell hanging from the washing machine. Maybe they should look at the pipes. The doors of the TV cabinet are broken and are falling apart. The inventory list we had to check off was so long. It kind of puts a damper on everything. Kettle was broken and this pan was broken. Went to buy new ones and they quickly transferred the money to us. We had a nice stay, but I think they could spend a few rand to pay attention to a nice holiday destination.

The place was nice and clean and nearby beach and shops, even the security guards were very welcoming us. My problem is only when one of our neighbours send the security guard to knock for us and asked us to turn down the music it was just around 14:00, and believe me, we were only using a phone to play the music but they say it was load and moreover it was just during the day.

Last night of our visit we had a power outage and according to the permanent neighbors next door it usually lasts for four days straight. Next day before departure we could not enjoy breakfast properly because of the interruption.

Stella Maris offers vacationers a delicious nest on the 5th floor. Beautiful sea view with sliding doors that you can safely leave open in the evening while you sleep peacefully with the sound of the sea in the background. The apartment is neat, clean and spacious. The entire building is excellently maintained, so people can relax by the swimming pool or light a nice fire at the braai facilities. Would definitely recommend Stella Maris to people looking to stay or holiday in the Amanzimtoti area.
Television was not working.
It's a beautiful place and definitely value for money. The apartment is perfectly laid out and there is plenty of space for everyone. Although we were only there for a weekend, we will definitely remember the apartment for an upcoming holiday! Prior arrangements were also fantastic and the instructions to check in were well communicated.
We had a great stay, the apartment was cleaned every day by the same person who was also friendly while we were busy in the apartment. I'm thankful that there were plastic glasses and plates for my kids, I also think it's really cute to have them as an extra. Everything you need is in the apartment, beautiful sea view, all the rooms overlook the sea. I thought it would be terribly busy and people would hear all night about it being such a big apartment block, but no, there was silence in the evening and you could sleep well. If I can make a suggestion, the owner should put up new photos because I think the place looks much nicer than the photos and maybe put in a tumble dryer. We stayed and slept well. I also had no problem getting my breakage deposit back and will definitely go back to the apartment.

Very nice secure apartment with a beautiful view of the sea. Close to everything you need. Offers everything you need. The mattress in the main bedroom was terrible. Entry level cheap spring mattress which reached its expiry date a long time ago. We initially wanted to stay longer but due to the poor quality of the mattress we booked elsewhere. Really a pity as this is really a nice apartment/flat. Will only recommend this apartment if the mattress is replaced.

The apartment is neat and clean, everything you need is there. Will definitely visit the same unit again.
All I didn't like very much about the Stella Maris is the admin staff. Some of them have no idea what's going on there and it's not just me who feels that way. My sister-in-law also stayed there in another apartment that had the same problem with the admin. My brother-in-law's apartment was dirty upon arrival and it was not cleaned well at all. I just think the staff who are with the admin should get training in reception, then it will be better.
The flat was cleaned daily and the staff was polite and friendly. Braai area cleaned early every morning. Overall we had a excellent experience.

The highlight of our stay was getting up early in the morning and enjoying the sunrise over the sea. During the night it feels like you are in another world, all you hear is the waves breaking on the beach, and you feel and smell the sea breeze through the three large sliding doors, our stay was absolutely fantastic. The view is breathtaking, and it is from the couch in the living room. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
We had a very nice stay. The building is clean and tidy inside. It's just a shame that some of the lifts didn't work well. I would like to recommend that an outside shower is also installed apart from the foot washing unit, as we don't always go swimming on the main beach.
The flat 54 Stella Marais is well situated on the Amanzimtoti beach front, the flat itself was nice and clean and had everything we needed. My only negative comment would be that the building itself does require some attention. However I did note that renovations where on the go.
I have stayed in many flats in Amanzimtoti, but I have never been in one so beautifully and comfortably furnished. It looks as if it has been properly designed and equipped. I had great service and quick responses.
