The location is perfect. The house is very nice and spacious. There is no proper ventilation throughout the house. Air conditioning should be considered. We could only open the one sliding door and small window in front for fresh air. Parking was an issue. For security purposes, fencing really needs to be considered in front of the house. There is definitely a need to spruce up on kitchen utensils. Could not find a proper spatula. We also had an issue with cockroaches. The kitchen cupboards had a strange smell.
The guest house is very nice, rooms were comfortable. The view over the sea was incredible. It has an "inverter" in it for load shedding. It's worth visiting 58 on Beach.
The house is very spacious and comfy. I will definitely go back there.

View was breathtaking and sea air was truly an experience. Shops and stalls are within walking distance and agents were very friendly. Definitely my friends/family and I will use the services again.

58 on Beach is well appointed.
The house was very tidy enough bedding and towels. There is everything you need. The only problem is that the owner has to leave more washing-up liquid there and toilet paper is a bit scarce. The owner can close the front, because everyone who walks by looks in there. I think it's a bit unsafe, but would go again. The owner can only think a little about one's safety.
We really enjoyed our time there, except that it was a bit cold to swim but will definitely come again.
The view of the beach is beautiful. All shops and places to eat are close by. You walk out of the house onto the road and you are at the sea. Will go there again, this time with my kids and husband. I recommend the house to everyone.

We really enjoyed our week, perfect location and everything is within walking distance. Would recommend a tumble dryer or washing machine especially for longer stay guests.
Should put a fence up. Fix faulty draws and bed. Put up a brighter light at braai area. Install Wi-Fi.
Two of the rooms' bedding smelled of feet. And one room's bedding was dirty and full of stains. The doors of the rooms could not close. We were told we would be left with 50 units of power, but when we got there it was only 34 units. It only lasted until the next morning at 10 o'clock. We were told that R160 worth of power would be enough for the weekend. We first bought R30 worth of power and only got 4 units. The 4 units only lasted 5 minutes. We were without power for the whole afternoon and afternoon and we then bought R100 worth of power again at 20:00 and got 13 units and it lasted for a few hours but was out again before midnight. The home owner didn't come to see us off and we had to drop off the key somewhere. I would not recommend 58 iB beach to anyone.
I will use 58 on Beach again and I will recommend people to use it.

We had an excellent time, the location is perfect, couldn't have asked for a better place.
We had a great time at 58 On Beach. The house is beautiful and right on the beachfront. We were on the beach till 4 am in the morning and it is so safe out there. I would recommend this place to anyone who would love a break. Again I say amazing.
We invited family along and with 2 five-year-old boys, there was more than enough space. The weather played along amazingly and the kids could run-off their excess energy. The accommodation itself was clean, spacious bathrooms, spacious rooms and I loved the kitchen.
This house felt warm and cosy, just like home. People around us were friendly and just the fact that you get to wake up and go to bed with a view like this. You’ll have to experience for yourself. Would most definitely go back there soon and stay much longer.
The sea is less than 50 m from the door. You can't ask for better. It's heavenly!

Plus points: Right in front of beach and spacious. Negative points: No external windows in any of the bedrooms, so no ventilation, aircons not working, bedroom TV not working, one bedroom has open drain and manhole in it.
It is a very nice and spacious house. Everything you need for a lovely stay is available. Walking distance from everything. The fireplace is a bonus!
Spacious, more than necessary. Very neat and safe, literally across the road to the sea. Very quiet even with the tarmac in front of the door.
Very comfortable, would love to stay here again. Jackie is very helpful and will go out of her way to make the time in her place as pleasant as possible.
The location of the house was absolutely perfect, right on the beach, and within walking distance of shops and services. There is no garden or safe play area for small children, and in that respect it was not ideal. The facilities and dishes themselves were not particularly clean and the cleaning equipment (broom/mop) not in good condition. There was no outside trash can, which is inconvenient with a young child. The house itself is large and spacious, but hot in the summer with no natural ventilation. Fortunately, there were many fans. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Overall it wasn't a bad experience.
Although spacious, the following was a concern: info on the website changed after we made the booking – no swimming and secure parking on site, just street parking. There was only 2 windows at the front entrance - so no fresh air for the back rooms. The aircon did not work and there was only 6 forks while the booking was made for 8 people. The children’s sleeping area has an open drain hole in the floor and the manhole cover is uneven. DStv was faulty numerous times and the door was jammed - but we were assisted both times. There was no secure place for children to play.

House rules
There is a breakage deposit to be paid in cash when you book in, it will be paid to guests once everything has been checked. Please make sure you fill in the breakage form before leaving for a refund if there is nothing broken.If the house is not left in the same condition as you received it, you will be charged an R500 cleaning fee which will be taken off your breakage deposit.
If any keys are broken or lost you will be charged accordingly.
Tenants will be held responsible for shortage due to theft, breakage etc. your breakage deposit will be funded to you via bank deposit within 14 days of departure, NOT on the day of departure and provided no breakage is incurred. Please note it is your responsibility to supply me with your banking details before you leave. Damage deposits not claimed within three months of the booking will be forfeited.
1. Check-in time is at 14:00 unless alternative arrangements were made with management beforehand. Check-out time is at 10:00 unless arranged differently with management.
2. Please bring your own beach towels.
3. Bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of the deposit paid in full for the rental unless alternative arrangements have been made in writing.
4. Balance of the rental is due 4 days before arrival. No refunds for cancellation within 2 weeks of arrival unless the accommodation is re-let for the full period!!
5. In the event of an earlier cancellation a 50% cancellation fee will be applicable unless the accommodation is re-let for the full period.
6. There will be no refunds for early departure.
7. No more than the maximum number of people booked on the property is allowed. If you exceed the number of people you will be charged for every extra person.
8. Deposit to confirm booking must be paid on time otherwise you will lose your booking.
9. Bookings and arrangements are to be confirmed via e-mail only.
10. No smoking is allowed inside. Anyone found smoking in the house will be fined.
11. Before departure please ensure that the house is locked and left in the same condition as you found it on arrival. Please ensure it's locked at all times when you are out and the alarm is on.
12. No pets are allowed on the premises unless it is arranged priorly. Only small dogs are allowed.
13. The owner is in no way liable to the tenant or his/her family or visitors for any personal injury sustained or loss/ damage of personal belongings and/ or motor vehicles, which may occur, while the tenants occupied the house.
14. When the premises are left please make sure all are locked so that then theft and Burglary Household insurance policy are effective. Failure to adhere to this could result in the tenants being held liable for any loss incurred.
15. Under no circumstances are any items belonging to the property to be removed from the property during your stay. Do not move furniture around in the unit.
16. All linen supplied refers to bed linen. Bath towels are supplied, but no beach towels. If bedding is damaged you will be held responsible for it.
17. Please supply your own toiletries. remember toilet paper and soap,
18. A basic cleaning service is offered once a week. For making beds, changing linen once a week and floor cleaning. As a dishwasher is supplied this service does not include washing any dishes.
If you would like to have a maid any other time please book 2 days in advance. Rental maids are charged R100 for the morning! Info on maid can be WhatsApp!
19. The guest house will have been thoroughly cleaned before your arrival. Before departure please ensure that the house is left in the same condition as you found it on arrival.
20. Tenants must advise 58 on the beach well in advance if they will be arriving after 16:00. Failure to notify us of a late arrival will result in the tenants not being met at the house to open up.
21. The guest house is located in a residential area hence tenants agree to abide by and behave in a reasonable, quiet manner. EG no drunken, disorderly, foul-mouthed behaviour, no excessive loud music, noise kept to a reasonable time and level ETC.
22. Should any conditions be breached, we have the right to evict you.
By paying the minimum required to confirm, the lessee agrees to abide by the conditions as set out above and accept the term fully.
