The lodge can accommodate 10 guests and comprises 4 en-suite bedrooms, a loft, a well-equipped kitchen, and a separate scullery with a living area and dining area. The 4 main bedrooms have extra-length king-size beds. The main bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath, twin basins, a shower, and an outside shower. All other bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with a shower and twin basins, and the ground-floor bedroom has an additional outdoor shower. There is also a separate guest bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. The loft is furnished with 2 single beds and there is a first-floor deck overlooking the swimming pool with stunning views of the surrounding bushveld. All of the bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning. In addition, an inverter provides backup power in case of loadshedding, however, high-power electricity-consuming appliances are not backed up.
The fully equipped kitchen contains a fridge, a gas oven with a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, and other appliances. The adjacent dining area has a wooden table with seating, and the lounge/dining area features a luxury gas fireplace.
In addition, the lodge boasts a viewing deck, a swimming pool, a boma and a braai area. There is also a gas braai facility on the deck for guests to use. A carport is available with extra open parking for additional vehicles.

16 guests' feedbackVery pleasant stay. Nico was very helpful and was a great host. The house was clean and a very pleasant place to be in. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a relaxed nature escape; it's perfect. If you are looking for a lot of game, then this isn't the best option. Very few animals, but we did see a lot of rhino, which was a treat.
Tasteful interior, nice living and entertaining spaces, unaware of load shedding, large selection of kitchenware. Nice pool, good location.
Excellent lodge, very comfortable and there is a UPS! Load shedding is no problem. Beautiful swimming pool and Nico, the host, is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again.

Die huis het ons verwagtinge oortref! Alles wat ons nodig gehad het en meer. Ons Duitse gaste was heel tevrede. Ons sal definitief weer Itaga 636 besoek.
Air conditioning would have made things a little better, especially in the evenings. We were there in the middle of a heat wave.

Wild animals right around the lodge. Lots to do. Swimming pool nice and clean.
The lodge is in an excellent location within Mabalingwe and we found it to be both beautifully decorated and well equipped for all our needs. We are only sorry we weren't staying longer. I would highly recommend it to friends and family and plan on booking again as soon as I can.

Bigger than expected. Modern as if it could be home in a new estate. Close to everything and every day all types of wildlife seen right in front of our porch.
We were warmly welcomed after good communication took place before we arrived. The unit is tidy and is ideal for a family with children and larger groups.
We had an awesome time, the accommodation is well maintained and owner is always willing to cater to your needs.
The rooms, beds and linen were very neat, clean and comfortable. The owner was always ready to answer any questions. The pool water was excessively cold and the Mabalingwe Restaurant at the main lodge was a disappointment.
Very well located near the children's playground, but also far enough so that you feel as if you are staying in the woods. The house is also very beautiful inside and out with the animals that like to visit. The owner is also friendly and very helpful. I would visit Itaga 636 again without thinking twice.
The unit was perfect, exactly as we expected from the photos and spotless. It was extremely well equipped and lots of space for 10 adults. The only issues we had was that there was no gas in the gas braai and the response time from the host regarding questions prior to arrival was very slow.
