Great beach flat, simple, basic. Everything we needed. Clean and secure. Ample parking. Frustrating to have to supply own dish soap, toilet paper, bin bags, and bath towels for such a short stay and advised only the day before arrival. No hangers in the cupboards.

The unit is very basic with outdated furniture and accessories. The furniture is not the same as in the pictures. The location is perfect for the fisherman.
Apartment very warm. Window in room can't open, so no fresh air coming in if the power goes out. Otherwise very nice.
Checking in was so easy. The gentleman at the office was so friendly and helpful. The unit was really spacious and clean. Beautiful pool, beach access, and overall good value for money.
Will definitely make our way down to Eden Sands again in the near future.

Lovely clean swimming pool with an adjacent toddler pool, well maintained complex in a safe environment. Just heard too late that towels, toilet paper, dish soap are not provided, otherwise very good. Air conditioning would have made a big difference.
Very nice view. Feels like you can be at the sea 24 hours a day. Swimming pool is nice if the sea is not swimmable.
The microwave does not work. The multiplug for the TV does not work. The stove plates and security gate are badly rusted. The unit could do with a fresh coat of paint.
Doesn't have a double bed in the master bedroom, bathroom window is broken and toilet very uncomfortable, bath not like that either, not worth the money.

It was so easy to communicate with the owner Mr Gevers, he trusted us with his flat and it made us feel comfortable and at home. His flat is situated at the right place close to the beach we really had lovely time.

We are a family with 2 teenagers and 1 toddler (all boys) and were very lucky to find this place at short notice. The unit is right on the beach with the most beautiful view. The complex is beautiful and well maintained with a sparkling swimming pool. We will definitely vacation there again. If you have to say something negative to the people who are always looking for something negative: There are a few pieces of cutlery missing and the shower head needs a little love. Many thanks to the owner who was willing to meet us and LekkeSlaap who helped us quickly.
Everyone in complex is friendly, feels like everyone has known each other for years, units are very clean, as well as the pool washed every day its alluring bright blue. Unit currently does not have aircon, which in my personal opinion would definitely be another positive point that can be ticked off, but our general summary of unit as well as complex is clean, friendly and safe holiday accommodation. Thanks to Leon, the owner, who helped us so quickly and nimbly with the accommodation arrangements under the circumstances.

Apartment is very comfortable. We only experienced that the double sofa is broken and collapses when you want to sit down, so there is little seating. We had a little trouble with ants in the fridge. But otherwise our stay was wonderful and will book again if we have to visit Durban. Also easy to experience from there on N2 als. Thank you for your hospitality and help with extra bookings. Good service.
Barbecue facilities could be better. Kitchen utensils, especially knives, need replacement and are not convenient to use.
Not happy at all, we had to wait outside at check-out on Sunday. Check-out was supposed to be before 10, but we were told to go before 9, we had to wait outside for our transport. I will not be booking that flat again. 8 Eden Sands, we paid money, it's not for free. I had 3 young children with me. The place is fine, but as for service, I give it a zero. Not happy at all.
It is a very clean apartment and the location is excellent, simply loved the pool. I would recommend the owner to install an aircon and WIFI at this flat and also if they could improve the braai facilities, other than that beautiful place highly recommended.
Place was very neat and well equipped. Felt safe in the complex, children made friends easily and played well. Sea view from the unit was a big plus. Could also go fishing on the beach. Sofas in unit just weren't very comfortable.

The apartment has a breathtaking view of the sea and beach, and is right by the complex's swimming pool which makes it ideal for a quick cool down. The braai facilities in the complex may be a bit small if the complex is fully booked. The lawn is short and neat and the garden is a pleasure to walk around in.
Eden Sands 8 does not look at all like it is represented on the website! The benches are green, torn and filthy. The unit is advertised as sleeping for 6. There were only 4 cubes to sit on, 2 of which were broken. We came in on Sunday, the owner let us know on Monday and he only bought 5 new chairs on Wednesday. The shower was broken and needed to be repaired first. The stovetops and barbecue equipment are rusted. All of the above wasn't the worst! Paying R10,000.00 for 6 nights and then being eaten by bed bugs was probably the icing on the cake! I have photos of all of the above and more.

The view over the sea was awesome. We saw dolphins and whales. The walk on the beach was great. Our weather didn't play well together, but we really enjoyed the time. I would go there again anytime. Everything was at hand and well located. The little apartment was good enough for us. I believe we would have enjoyed the beach more if the weather had cooperated. The security was great. Nice pool. A children's playground was advertised, but we did not find it. I think a play frame or place would only make it even more attractive for the kids.
Important to note that it is on the 2nd floor with stairs.

If I could name something that wasn't right, the view would make up for it. How nice it was to fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night. The whole complex is neat, a stone's throw from the beach. Lovely pool to cool off. Staff were friendly and helpful. The owner, Leon, was always available for any questions I had.

My family and I are frequent travellers and we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this place. We felt so welcome by the people at the reception. The place is magnificently beautiful. Neatly manicured lawns, crystal clear pool only a flight of stairs away from the apartment, private beach access, and a remote controlled secure complex. We were completely taken aback because this place was worth every penny and more. We entered the flat to find the most amazing view of the ocean. You wake up to a glorious sunrise and wind down with a breath taking sunset.There are simply no words to describe the splendour of it all. The apartment was clean, neat and tidy. Thank you for having such quality facilities. Thank you for providing extra warm bedding as it was cold during our stay. The only problem experienced was that sound wasn't playing when we tried to use the DVD. Would really appreciate a mop in the apartment to clean up spills. The pool should be made a little warmer. Otherwise it was the best weekend ever. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back soon!

The apartment is comfortable but not of a high standard. I would have appreciated a more complete cleaning service, or at least being able to hire the cleaners myself. Who wants to wash dishes and make beds on vacation? I was hoping for a porch that I could sit on and barbecue, didn't realize the apartment had no porch. The built complex of barbecue places is in no way located near the apartment. The beach is really nice and close and very beautiful. The children had fun swimming in the pool, but an old roof / shaded area for parents / children would be practical. The owner of the apartment is great, with help quickly available, should something go wrong. Thank you for a peaceful holiday, it was nice.
Cutlery and grill were very dirty. Dining room chairs are broken. Living room couches have dirty spots on them. Dirty and untidy. Very dissatisfied.
Excellent accommodation. Swimming pool's gate must be fixed. It does not latch properly. The accommodation itself was excellent.

It was an excellent holiday. The view over the ocean was amazing! It is just the caretakers that were difficult. Early on the first evening we were swimming in the pool with the lights on and when they saw that we were in the pool, they switched the pool lights off at night for the rest of our holiday. The neighbours of the complex were very unfriendly. It's probably just people who are unhappy with themselves. But the owner of the flat is very friendly and helped us nicely. They also sent us some information. We were well informed with the necessary info, as we asked. He was very friendly. Unforgettably good holiday!

The apartment was tidy, the owner gave feedback all the time and chatted via Whatsapp. Right on the sea (100 m) and the complex is clean and safe. The apartment is also right by the nice swimming pool.
I would highly recommend it. View is excellent. The shops are also very close so you don't have to drive far.
