Als was nice but the TV kept giving problems.

Very nice stay. The unit is light, neat and practically equipped with hairdryer, laundry rack, microwave and housewares. There is DSTV if you are not addicted to sea views and WiFi to keep in touch with family, the outside world and colleagues on e-mail. The complex's pool was sparkling clean for a quick afternoon swim.

The place was neat and clean. I had trouble getting hold of the owner, which made check-in a little challenging. With no other options I will use them again, but I will try to look for something else first.

The accommodation is well situated and well equipped. I did have a challenge with the checking in, as the code for the dropbox was not forwarded prior to the check-in. No arrangements were made at the security gate for vehicle access.

"Nice location but very poor service and no comfort."

No TV and we were at home in the evening with 2 small children who could not watch TV - the washing was still on the line in the house when we got there. Many of the list of rooms' contents were either missing or less of them - we had to go through each list to make sure of everything and forward the missing things to the hostess so that we would not be held responsible for them. The WiFi never wanted to work, so kids couldn't try to watch anything on phones either and we couldn't send work emails at night. The towels were moldy and the bathroom had no ventilation. We have stayed in 2 star places before and never had this much trouble. The lights in the rooms weren't plugged in and didn't even have light bulbs in them - we couldn't find light bulbs anywhere, and it was very uncomfortable to get the kids to sleep with no TV, no soft light in the room in a strange place. We couldn't watch the cricket final at home and had to sit in a sports bar with the kids to watch it, which was very inconvenient. You book a place within your limits that will show comfort for you, especially with small children so that you can still maintain your routine in the evening. Unfortunately, the place did not offer that to us at all and it was very inconvenient. Definitely not even 2 star accommodation.

No, most furniture and linens are old and used up. The washing machine was broken and was reported and would be sorted out the next day, but it never was. The bathtub shower doesn't even have a curtain or screen (just a rusty pipe), leaving the bathroom full of water every time it's showered. The towels are old and stained brown. The benches are already so weathered that they are covered with blankets.

"It was so so. Will not stay at this place again."

Not good. The place needs work. Rusted and broken outside chairs. Lights not working. Wall plugs wire sticking out and no covers. Sliding door not working. No scoop to pick up dirt from the floor. When we arrived, we battled to get in and had to wait for 30 minutes.

"Disappointed."

The place is not dirty at all. No TV. Electrical accessories are faulty. On arrival we could not find the key. Poor planning.

We were a group of 5 and had a wonderful stay. The facilities are very nice and clean and the security first class. Thank you - we will keep you in mind for the future.

The establishment is very nice, very relaxing very peaceful. Definitely what one needs to get away from the busy city life just peace and tranquility.

The apartment inside was clean, but the air switches (at the front door and even worse the one in the 2nd room where my children were in) were broken and the owner was aware of this and when we called her and asked if she knew she told we she couldn't get someone to fix it (her Whatsapp mentioned that the service providers ie electricians in Cape Town can't be relied on) and made us feel very uncomfortable bringing it up. She said she would try to get an electrician to fix it on Saturday, but it would be our problem if anyone was at the apartment to wait for the electrician. Which we were not willing to do. And then it was abandoned so my children turned on the hallway light to see what they could in their room. The bathroom towel rail is also very wiggly and kept falling off when you take the towel off and the bed sheet on the master bedroom bed was loose and wiggly when you sat on the bed - it is pulling out at the bottom. The bedside lamp also doesn't have a ring that holds the bulb and the cup wiggles back and forth there and also no on and off switch - this has to be done at the plug point which is behind and under the bed headboard - we have it put away, because it would just fall over and break. We mentioned it to her. The resort itself is beautiful and safe, but the apartment contents need upgrading and broken light switches, especially in bedrooms are inexcusable. Kitchen sink faucet leaks permanently. The satellite dish's wire is stuck on the floor in front of the sliding door and the wire is loose in places. It is dangerous and any small children can trip over it. It should be tucked away or routed on top of the roof against the wall for safety. The balcony also has broken tiles. Als is something that should be fixed. The bedding and pillows were nicely modern and the place was painted with a nice sea theme.

When we arrive at the place we had to wait for 20 mins in the car for assistance to get the key, but it was a very nice place.

The place was clean, everything was right and perfect.

The overnight stay in this place was very nice. Just gets a bit expensive for an average income family looking to stay over a longer period of time.

It was a well-deserved girls weekend away! We enjoyed the peace and quiet weekend, while still having loads of fun in between! Will definitely be back!

I feel units must be checked before the time, light bulbs not working, bathroom water of basin on a drip.

Unit was dirty and not value for money. Had to contact owner 3 times to pay deposit back.

Being threatened with Police after booking the place from a certain date for a vacation and ending up leaving the accommodation to return again the next day. sorry no hospitality at all. In the end I was charged from my breakage fee for a Uber driver fee for the domestic.

"Quiet, nice view, neat apartment."

We were 3 ladies, would have been 4, unfortunately the other one was sick and couldn't come. She just had to see the beautiful photos of the place online on our social media. Beautiful views, the apartment is so neat. Walking distance to the sea is a bonus as well as the restaurants that are not too far away. Would love to go back again.

"It was my first and my most enjoyable holiday place."

I liked the fact that everything was there, all I had to buy extra was toilet paper and everything else was there. It was cleaned very nicely - it smelled nice and it was neat. It's a really nice vacation spot, I felt so safe. You can really enjoy yourself - your vehicle is safe, you are safe, so it was the perfect spot. All problem I had was that I couldn't find the place because I had never been to Gordons Bay. For me it is better to use Cayman Beach's address.

"Wasn't a fun weekend."

When we arrived, our place of residence was not ready. The owner, Jessica, forgot to notify security of our booking. DStv also did not work on Friday. Had to inquire first then only activated on Saturday morning. Swimming pool was not accessible, due to Covid19, but not mentioned at all in email.

"Cleanliness was very bad."

Als was dirty and musty.

"The apartment and porch were very dirty, braai was last cleaned when it was bought."

Washing machine did not work. Porch and apartment were not clean including braai. I had questions for DStv and WiFi password. I was also advised not to use too much data, even though the ad includes it.

We were only in Gordons Bay for 1 night, did not visit any attractions. Was in and out for a wedding but the hostess was friendly and accommodating re. the time we could check in and helped us as our wedding was early afternoon and we wanted to get dressed and ready before going to the wedding.

"Too small for a family with teenagers."

Needs to be updated, bed creeked very noisy when turning over. Need to be fumigated found a cockroach. Dishwasher need to be rinsed a strong odour. Loved the smart television and WiFi was a plus.

There are loads of space and it's very comfortable. Makes you feel at home.
