Liesl, your place is fantastic. There was everything we needed. We were by the sea and rivers. I recommend your place to anyone who has large families and children of all ages. It was the best vacation ever.
I understand why the place is a preferred partner! Nothing is too much trouble. My daughter and her girlfriend wanted a room upstairs but were not comfortable sharing a double bed. Liesl was willing to put an extra bed in one of the rooms. I was pleasantly surprised that almost everything was provided, swimming towels, boogie boards, board games, books to read, basic groceries like coffee, sugar, chutney. Oh man, it's just like your own vacation home!
Almal het tuis gevoel. Everything about this house is generous, from the spacious design and the ample supply of stuff, to the welcoming and user-friendly policy. Wonderful communal spaces, yet plenty of scope for privacy and isolation. Location could not be better. For some of us this was a return visit, and the kids still think it is heaven.
Big enough for large family to vacation comfortably together. Cute amenities. Had everything we needed. Friendly and helpful.
The accommodation is perfectly located on the beach and in the middle of the island between two rivers. I definitely will take the opportunity to book the house again.

After a very stressful year we were so fortunate to come across this gem. The cottage was clean, organised and had all the necessities that we needed. The owners really had thought of everything right down to double adapters and even load shedding lamps. We had such a lovely stay and will definitely be back. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday right on the beach, 8 Sandpiper is the place to stay.
Clean and tidy accommodation. Everything you need away from your own home is at your disposal. Enough moving space and sleeping place. DStv for all your TV channels. Beautiful open beach about 100 meters from the house. Ideal for fishing and other water sports.

There is everything that vacationers might need. Even books for toddlers. The house layout is lovely, the linen good quality, the decor throughout beautiful.

We were pleasantly surprised at the comprehensively equipped kitchen, which is a rare find in holiday homes. The unit is perfectly furnished for the location and type of holiday in this area. Beds are all very comfortable, and the downstairs bedroom is a win for infirm guests. Tom was very friendly and helpful, as well as Liesel (the owner) making sure everything was in perfect working order. Thank you for a wonderful stress free weekend with our family.
I would highly recommend this house. We always enjoy Easter with our children and grandchildren. We were 6 adults and 4 children and there was never a shortage of space for everyone. The rooms with their bathrooms for each family were so comfortable. The delicious barbecue and meeting place made for wonderful evenings around the barbecue fire and we were able to play wonderful games on the lovely lawn. The beach and sea were right next to us and with the security making regular stops we never felt unsafe for a moment. The caretaker, Tom is very helpful and the landlady very friendly and accommodating. Thank you very much for excellent facilities.
Beautiful accommodation with breathtaking sea views. The apartment is nicely furnished with comfortable beds and furniture. Will definitely stay there again and will recommend that everyone go there.
8 Sandpiper is a very nice holiday home. It is spacious with plenty of room for everyone. We were 5 adults and 2 children and no one felt that anyone was in their space. The bed linen and towels are good quality and all the extras (cleaning agents, soap, hairdryer, mosquito repellent etc.) are provided. There are two lagoons within 100 m of the house and the sea right in front. The caretaker was very quick and helpful with everything. The house is not cheap, but if space is important to you, or you are a large group of people, the house will work very well.
Tom (caretaker) told Liesel that the DStv was right when it wasn't. Other than this we had a very nice stay. Thank you.

The house had no DStv the first night. After many calls to the owner, they put us through. There is no phone signal at home and WiFi is very weak. From Friday night until Saturday morning there was no electricity, no generator on site. So also no WiFi or any phone service. Kitchen, living room and dining room were tidy as well as the rooms. The bathrooms are in bad condition due to no maintenance on the house. At R2500 a night we expected a place in better condition. Location of the house is fantastic. We will definitely visit this area again but not this house.
