Great pity about all the rain. Also, no WiFi.
The Complex also has a separate exit and entrance when going to the Shelly Mall so that you don't have to use the busy Marine Drive. The unit is spacious with ceiling fans and is a true reflection of the online pictures.
All I would have liked otherwise is a sea view, but luckily the sea is within walking distance. The unit is very comfortably furnished. The tennis court is also a nice bonus. Swimming pools are beautifully clean.
Really enjoyed it, can recommend the unit. It was just ridiculous that the resort closed the tennis court and braaiers due to the level 3 containment. Can understand that the swimming pool poses a risk, but how on earth are family members playing tennis or barbecuing together because there are no other facilities for barbeque in the unit, at all at risk of getting Covid-19. Ridiculous decision making from the resort which made our last 5 days unpleasant.
Beautiful accommodation with most necessary amenities for self catering apartment. Laundry was a bit difficult as the facility offers a coin operated system, in house would have been better. Overall, excellent place for kids and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Trampoline, tennis court, playground and pond with ducks, terrapins, peacock and tilapia fish were very well maintained. Quiet and relaxing complex. Just remember to bring your own putt-putt clubs and golf balls. Our unit, number 80, was well stocked with kitchen equipment and very clean. Braai areas ample and in good condition, with a roof over them.
Come back to the same place every year. Value for money, good location, cute playground for kids.

Our stay was fantastic! The three of us enjoyed every day. Three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen we couldn't ask for more. Fully equipped and no neglect. Our parking is at our door and it is a ground floor unit. Clean and tidy!

This was our second time vacationing at 80 Surf Bay Sands. We enjoy the most just walking out the back gate and then you are on the beach. The grandchildren enjoy the rock pools - swimming and catching fish with their nets. Surf Bay Sands grounds themselves are very neat and clean, with plenty of things to keep the kids busy. Truly a place where a family can have a wonderful holiday! Thank you very much! See you again!
The accommodation is recommended for anyone, old and young. It's walking distance from the beach and very safe. The place if clean and neat and everyone is friendly, will definitely book this place again.

Had a great time but the living area is just too small for 6 people, the bath is quite small and the shower water builds up. But otherwise it was really great.
Surf Bay Sands is an excellent complex with wonderful facilities. Unit 80 has small issues, that if resolved, would be the a very comfortable and pleasant holiday apartment.

We were very impressed with 80 Surf Bay. What you pay and what you get is amazing. Really value for money. The unit is beautiful and has nice comfortable couches. The children really enjoyed the play area and pool and the beach is within walking distance.

Perfect for a large family with small children. Lots of activities to keep the kids busy and enough privacy and quiet for mum and dad to also rest well.
The two gates help with route planning especially with the busy December traffic. The tennis court and swimming pools keep the children busy when we are there. All that is missing is air conditioning.
During my visit I met a trustee on site. According to the person, it was decided during a meeting that the rates during the winter amount to R500 per night and not R800 as I paid. According to the person, the deposit also had to be returned. There was no cleaning service in 9 days and no clean bedding or broom in the unit. I feel like I was walked in following my conversation with a trustee on the premises. The person was surprised to hear what I paid per night as it was different from a meeting decision they made. Other places I have visited in the past have the units cleaned daily! For the price I paid, I expected better service. The complex was neat and did not match the poor service at all
