17 guests' feedbackThe Wi-Fi wasn't working in our room and they moved us to a bigger space which we loved. The guy at reception was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the in-house breakfast option.
Overall decay. Will never stay there again. Advertising photos misleading. No electric blanket either. No milk and coffee.

We had a nice stay except for a few things that bothered us. 1. When someone tells me to pay something at a Guest House and recommends cash, I am immediately skeptical. After our breakfast, I wanted to pay with my card after the card machine was lying on their table in working condition, the staff insisted on cash. 2. We pre-arranged for transport to Ellispark and it would have cost us R450. In the end we had to pay R1100, due to various excuses. I wasn't hatched under a chicken either. 3. Barbecue facilities should meet certain standards. A Weber standing in the corner of the courtyard, with a dirty grill on it, is not exactly my type of favorite braai facilities. I then went to Cheers to buy a toaster oven and then had to find out that there wasn't much seating at the barbecue area. I then returned home with my meat. Location etc. was not bad, and overall our stay was not bad.
The rooms was nice and neat. We were just disappointed in all the noise at the guest house. I understand maintenance needs to be done, but maybe next time schedule it while you dont have guests. There were chain-saws cutting for hours outside our window and people walking on the rooms roof making lost of noise. A car parked in front of the guest house alarm went off all night. We also only received our clean towels @ 9pm. Other then the noise, the place was neat and tidy.

The guest house is beautifully decorated with old and new. It is in the heart of Mellville with fantastic restaurants like Love Me So just a short walk away. In the evenings, Mootee bar is an experience, but there is much more to choose from. 27 Boxes is a must-see with all the nice shops and the garden behind the building. Our breakfast was excellent (full breakfast) and we had safe parking for the car.
I was very disappointed as I have stayed here in the past. The room was incredibly dirty, I couldn't walk from the bed to the bathroom with my bare feet, without washing my feet afterwards. The towels and bed linen were torn and had holes in them. The lights didn't work and there were little broken things everywhere. There was an overall "we don't care anymore" feeling. I showed the caretaker how dirty it was, I walked from the bed to the bathroom, and then wiped my feet with a towel, the towel was black and full of horrible dirty wool. This is really unacceptable, especially for the price I pay to make sure and get cleanliness and care.
I travel a lot for work and stay at various guesthouses weekly, 84 on 4th is one of the best I've stayed in for years. The helpfulness of the staff surprised me, the rooms are spacious, cozy, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a pleasure. Thank you for such an experience after a hard, hard day!
The stay at this establishment was wonderful and the service was extremely friendly. The place is very well located and was close to everything! Our 2.5 year old daughter was with us and she was also accommodated as far as possible. Would definitely stay there again!

Clean and tidy room with good linen and a nice shower. The spring mattress might get a board underneath so it doesn't sag. Two bedside lights are essential and the mirrors are a bit low for tall (1.74 m) persons. Breakfast was very good. Tandem parking within the premises is not ideal. Otherwise it was pleasant.
