Oom Chris and his wife made us feel welcome from the day we arrived until we left. The house is very neat and if we needed anything we could just go inside and ask oom Chris . H opened up his house to us and it just shows that he's an excellent host. The house is close to the shops and beach. I would highly recommend 84 on Himeville.

The stay was okay. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming, and reasonable, and they assist with absolutely everything. Oom loved our kids! Bearing in mind that everyone's definition of "clean" differs vastly, I grabbed a broom as soon as we settled. There are dog hairs all over. The bathroom needs a bit of work; mouldy residue around the bath, and the drainage hole had hairs stuck to it from the previous visits. Oom checked up on us regularly, which was very sweet. The sliding door and WiFi are equally problematic. The WiFi quality is really weak from upstairs, and the sliding door nearly came off its rail quite a few times, but he assured us that they would have it fixed, which again shows his concerning nature. Albeit this, Oom and Tannie are very nice people. I would suggest that they just work on the cleanliness of the place because that was a bit concerning to us.
After we confirmed our booking, we enquired about possible car rental services to get from the airport to our accommodation. To our surprise, Chris and Monica offered to pick us up at the airport free of charge! Kind act no. 1! The next day, Monica took us to the car rental service, drove back and forth to find an ATM (it was load-shedding), and waited until we had the car before she left because she wanted peace of mind that we were safe. They did all this without expecting any payment in return. Kind act no. 2! To get to the actual accommodation: The apartment is a two-bedroom with a fully fitted kitchen and lounge. The stove tops work, however, the oven doesn't. This wasn't an issue for us, but it is something to keep in mind. The area is quiet, and the property has safe and secure parking. From the balcony, you have beautiful ocean views in the distance and a lovely seating area for that hot morning coffee. Overall it is definitely value for money, and the hospitality is second to none! Thank you, Chris and Monica!

Good beds and apartment was neat, with everything you need. However, not ideally located for vacationers. Keep in mind that the apartment is very cheap and you can't expect everything to be perfect, but it offers good value. Secure parking a bit "awkward", as you have to walk through the owners' house to leave the vehicle there.
The owner was rude. We even had to go find another place to stay. We hope he could fix his attitude in the future.

Holiday was very nice at 84 on Himeville, children enjoyed themselves in swimming pool and shops were very close. I would recommend 84 on Himeville anytime for a family vacation. Beaches are also very close for fishing or swimming. The place is also very safe.
Had a great time in safe area of PE. Accommodation was very good. Fairly close to good beaches and towns. Many attractions in the area. Uncle Chris the owner, was very nice and extremely helpful. We will come again for sure!

Please let me then to start with some negative comments: In the review, Blue Water Bay is described as a "quiet, luxurious suburb". Well, some houses do appear luxurious, but the environment is, to put it mildly, somewhat questionable! Also the traffic noise from the nearby N2 highway makes it not a quiet place for someone who is not used to it. The bell at the gate at 84 on Himeville was not working when we arrived. We had to call the owners to be let in. The steep wooden stairs to the apartment might give someone with knee problems, well, problems and could be dangerous if wet. Shortly after our visit, we noticed that the price had been increased by 50%. That's quite a significant cost increase! Now for the positives about 84 on Himeville: The host, Chris, and hostess, Monica, were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. They dutifully complied with all our arrangements regarding coming and going to the nearby Addo Elephant National Park. The apartment is cute, very clean, tidy and cosy. And it is very clear why they are a preferred partner. The place to live can definitely be recommended, and we will use it again, if we are in the area. Thank you very much.
The host and wife really went out of their way to accommodate us. We were one person too many for the guest house and they made one bed available for us in their house.
Owner Chris was rude and abrupt. He wanted to charge me R200 because of moisture that was absorbed by the bathroom wooden door that we could not avoid. The pool was dirty and had a lot of moss on the pool floors. He also charged me for a clothes hanger that not not even there when we entered the premises. He had entered my self-catering without permission every day while we was away and when we got back, he then informed us of his concerns. This was an invasion of our privacy and was totally disturbing as I stayed with my family. I will not recommend anyone to stay at 84 on Himeville.

The lady of the house was friendly and warm. We did not stay the full weekend as to kids and myself feeling uncomfortable. Think the uncle of the house is overwhelming and had me following him showing me how to open cupboards doors, use the shower. Felt like staying at a hostel how to operate the TV, etc. We literally left early the following morning and did not stay till the Sunday. Maybe that accommodation is best suited for older people and not family with toddlers. Lovely place but for older age group.

Parking is inside the owner's yard and he only closes it after 7pm. So you can't go out again later that night or come back later. So not good if you want to go out at night.

My children are spoiled and they go out of their way to make us comfortable. The place is spotless and peaceful. The balcony has a beautiful view. They even washed and ironed our laundry. The shopping center is walking distance from here. It is comfortable enough to stay there for weeks.
