10 guests' feedbackWe stayed at 9 on Dolfyn from mid to end of July 2024. Check-in went smoothly, and we settled in well enough. However, things started going backwards from there. The hot water was off for the first 24 hours of our stay. We were told there was maintenance done on the geyser before our arrival, and the host neglected to check that everything was working before our check-in. Our stay was also in the midst of winter. Other than the fireplace in the lounge and a small oil heater in the main bedroom, there were no other sources of heat. The duvets on all the beds were thin summer duvets, and there were no winter blankets anywhere to be found. The outside lights on the downstairs patio were also not working, so we had to have electricians and plumbers come in to fix things during our stay, which is not ideal, although we appreciate the host tending to things quickly. The only cleaning implements left for us were a sponge and some Sunlight liquid. Not even a broom to sweep up beach sand off the floors or a surface cleaner to wipe down the counters with. We were also only left with 1 trash bag, even though we booked a stay for just under a week long. Overall, the stay was fine, but not at all what we were used to or expecting based on previous stays in Yzerfontein. It just felt like the host took no care to make sure the accommodations were suitable before check-in or that things were working before we arrived.

We will definitely go to the place again, it's quiet, tidy and close to everything. One of the best we've been to and perfect if you're going with a dog.

The house was clean, neat, and beautiful. Hassle-free check-in and check-out. Will definitely be staying there again.

The house is beautiful, well equipped and tidy. There is nothing we were looking for or missed, especially the kitchen is fully equipped. There are ample bathrooms and bedrooms. The house was cold inside and it is winter, but there are no carpets or heaters in the house.
We had a wonderful stay at 9 on Dolfyn. The house is very well equipped and tidy with spacious rooms. The porch and the braai room were particularly good pluses. It suited us especially because the house is pet friendly and very close to the sea.
