The guest house has everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay. The hostess is on site and was friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to the beach, lots to do in easy driving distance.

Maureen is an excellent host with an eye for detail and cleanliness. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the warm sun pouring into my bedroom in the winter morning. Both sunrise and sunset can be enjoyed from the bedroom balcony. The bedroom is separated from the kitchen-cum-living area by a door, which is very welcome in a small unit, so that sound of the fridge does not need to keep you awake all night. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need, even for a longer stay. Please note, there's no WiFi, which suited me very well. Maureen has made provision for loadshedding with battery-charged lights and a gas hob. The unit is surprisingly warm, and although it was very cold at night, and although I am very sensitive to the cold, I was more than warm enough with the bedding provided and the unit itself gets sun all day, from one direction or another, and is obviously well insulated. I will be back, for sure.
Die plekkie is pragtig, skoon, netjies en ruim met Baie mooi uitsig. Goed geleë. Dit was aangenaam verras. Het so lekker gekuier en gebly gaan beslis weer kom draai. Maureen het ons tuis laat voel en was baie behulpsaam. Kan haar plekkies beslis aanbeveel. Dankie.
Maureen is a wonderful hostess and goes out of her way to make it comfortable for you! Had a wonderful stay and the unit was tidy and in a quiet area! Thoroughly enjoyed the stars and the view on the porch!

A short, peaceful walk will give you panoramic views of the island and beach. Traffic noise from the streets below, on the other side of the house, takes getting used to.

We receive the warmest welcoming from Maureen and her husband. We arrived a lot later than we have discussed with Maureen, but she and her husband sat and waited for us with a battery-powered light for the loadshedding. With our booking we received 10% discount and with our arrival we got a bigger room than what we booked!
The owner Maureen went completely out of her way with the arrangements. House is painfully clean and tidy. It rained a lot and her daughter even brought us an umbrella because she knew we wouldn't have one. Will definitely visit there again. Thank you very, very much.

This is our second time that my golf partner and I have used the accommodation. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom immaculate and the kitchen has all the utensils to make a braai even more delicious! It has DStv and the balcony has a nice view of the valley where you can relax in the evening.

Had a great time, nothing lacking in the apartment, neat and very safe. Personally, I don't like the idea that the bathroom doesn't have a door (walk into room). Would definitely recommend for a quiet, peaceful holiday.

It was indicated that we were booked in a 2 bedroom unit. Upon arrival we were directed to a one bedroom unit. However, it didn't really bother us much. The unit was neat, clean and well furnished. The Maureens received us kindly and this friendliness was characteristic of them throughout. Even though it is rumored to be safe in this area, it did bother us that our vehicle had to be parked on the sidewalk. However, we would recommend A Bit of Home anytime.
