66 guests' feedbackThe place was nice and cozy. Lots of wildlife to see. Would visit again.
Very nice stay and will stay there again.
Very very cute place. Nice and spacious with a nice patio.
Place looks better than on photos. Bob the caretaker is a wonderful person and very helpful.
It is certainly worth staying at A Peace of Marloth the. It's a unique place and everything was perfect. Thank you very much for the beautiful and wonderful time there.
I'm happy because my expectations were all I need.
It was a great stay in excellent accommodation — Bob the caretaker was also great. Just note that according to the neighbours, no amount of noise is allowed at any time, not even simply talking outside at the fireplace or at the Jacuzzi.
Situated in the lush bush of Marloth Park, it is peaceful and there is no shortage of wildlife. Rather pricey for fewer than 5 people, and the groundsman lives on the property, but it is very spacious and well-equipped. I also appreciated the owner going out of her way to accommodate our needs, as well as the pleasant surprise of toilet paper, which was lacking in previous reviews. An absolute highlight was the little visitor at sunset with those enormous eyes, the beautiful bush baby.
A Peace of Marloth is a lovely family home, with plenty of sleeping space. The Jacuzzi was lovely, and you live on the lovely open veranda.
This is a "lovely" home to share with friends. When I sound negative, it's wrong, but I have to pass it on so that the owner is aware of this. 1. The remote control devices' batteries are all "dead". 2. The ceiling fan in the living room does not work. 3. The mosquitoes have free access, because the screens in front of the windows are broken. 4. The sink's plugs do not close tightly and the water runs out. 5. The cleaning of the house must be discussed with the service provider. Pull the bed away from the headboard! These are just things the owner should know about. It's a great place with the Jaccuzi, which is a plus in the hot days. We will stay there again, because the animals that visit are a "fest"! Good value for money - but bg. should be seen as "positive advice".
Peace of Marloth is very well equipped for any group of people. The large stoep, boma and Jacuzzi were a favorite for young and old. The caretaker who lives on site is friendly and helpful and made us feel very safe and comfortable. We will definitely book there again.
Spacious accommodation for large groups. Had a wonderful stay. Maintenance must be done on the house.
Was our second visit to this lovely place. House was very clean and some improvements were made since our previous visit. Can definitely recommend.
The only thing that was not ok is that we have to bring our own towels, toilet paper, dishwashing detergent.
Very nice place, spotless, neat and very modern. Excellently equipped. The Jacuzzi is clean and wonderfully warm. Thank you very much, we will definitely visit again.
We were very impressed on arrival, als was clean, tidy and everything we needed was there, so comfortable, rooms were nice and bedding clean and comfortable, we really enjoyed the boma/fire pit, porch area and jacuzzi during our visit and will definitely visit again.
It was exactly what we needed! The name says it all! Peace in Marloth! All I would have changed is the time we were there. Would love to spend another 2 weeks there!
Will definitely book a weekend again.
The house is nice and big and spacious with lots of outdoor space. The hot Jacuzzi was of course a winner. People feel free to book the place, we have nothing to complain about. We will definitely go back again. Thanks so much Warren and Bob!
Young, the weekend had been hopelessly too short. It feels like we just closed our eyes and opened them again and back home. Everything is super comfortable, nice atmosphere, the old pigs who are naughty about knocking over the water bowl and the goats who are nice and tame. We will definitely come again. Bob was very friendly and looked after us well. The children enjoyed the Jacuzzi. A weekend is hopelessly too short. We plan to come again by August. Thank you very much it was really nice.
It's a lovely place with a nice patio. Any negative is just the wooden floor on the top floor which creaks a lot. It kind of wakes up the people below when someone walks around on it.
We all have stressful jobs and just sitting on the porch with animals that pass by every now and then was awesome. We have stayed in many houses in Marloth and this was one of the few houses where we literally saw almost all the animals at home. I have teenage children and they really enjoyed the Jacuzzi. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome home with us. Thank you for your awesome house - it was neat and comfortable. Love the stoep.
Just a pity the main hangout is enclosed and "forest" not visible.
Very very nice stay, house was perfectly equipped with everything and more than we needed. Next time we stay a week or more!
The place is a wonderful place to stay and completely rested. The on-site guard was terribly pleasant. There is a large visiting area.
We had such a lovely time, place was clean, the Jacuzzi was nice and warm. The place met our expectations and more. Can't wait to go there again.
It was one incredible experience to treat my Parents (80+) with some of their grandchildren at A Peace of Marloth. this unit lends itself to hosting larger groups.
It was great and we enjoyed the place. There are some maintenance things needed such as lights not working and the kitchen is a bit dimly lit, but I would definitely visit again. The wooden floor on the upper floor is a bit hard if you sleep downstairs and someone walks on top as it is a wooden floor. The forest around the place is very nice and the animals visit often and just stand close to you and see what's going on. There are no animals to bother you and it is heavenly to sit around the fire and visit while you relax. There are enough fridges to keep everything cold and it was very nice. Bob was very helpful and everything was as we requested and right.
Very well appointed. Hot Jacuzzi was great with our toddlers. Bob is very friendly and was able to sleep peacefully knowing that we were safe. Animals came to visit many, especially a blue wildebeest, kudu and warthog group that came to look for the pallets.
Marloth Park is a very quiet place. It's so cute when the animals come to the house. If for a while nothing comes, you look out for them. Enjoyed the tranquility very much.
We were quite surprised with Marloth Park and with A Peace of Marloth. The braai place/boma was a plus and the animals just came there to say hello. The porch outside the house is also a nice place to hang out, the walls around the porch should have been a little lower, because you can't see the animals. Unfortunately, there were no king-size beds as advertised on the website and we all repeatedly bumped our legs against the oversized slatted beds. Some of the beds don't sleep so well either. The two bathrooms' showers are just a little neat. A third bathroom would definitely be an asset to the place. The kitchen has no shortage of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, etc. no, it leaves very little room to store your groceries. The dishwasher was also an asset, maybe just have the machine serviced because it no longer washes well. Bob, the security guard who stays on the premises, looked after us very carefully.
We had a very nice weekend here. Many animals came to walk around the house, it was so peaceful. Lovely porch to hang out on. Bob is very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely beautiful house, very quiet and relaxing. The house was amazing, clean and everything we saw on the add. We will definitely go again, and more often in future. Bob the security guard is very friendly, very helpful. Thank you, we had a really amazing weekend.
We really had a great time and will definitely visit again. Bob the security guard was awesome and gave lots of tips on safety. Everything was really nice, place was clean and everything you need is there. There are some small maintenance issues, but nothing that can't be fixed quickly. Overall we had a great time, just too short.
We were 6 adults who stayed comfortably in the house. Had a great stay, it was peaceful and quiet. There was a security man who stayed on the premises and patrolled at night. The house also has an alarm which is very reassuring. The living area is nice and big and one could visit and live comfortably. On the ad it does say that there are 3 rooms with king size beds which are rather something between double and queen size, which we were a bit disappointed about as we are tall people. The upper floor's floor is wooden and is very disturbing for the people who sleep in the lower rooms due to the creaking. You just have to make sure you go to bed and get up with those who sleep below. The dirt road section to the house was quite bad and cars with lower parts struggle a bit through some of the ditches (around 1.1 km of dirt road). Air conditioning worked well in the rooms and the place was tidy. It was a short drive (15 - 20 min) to Krokodilbrug gate that goes into the Kruger. Overall we had a very nice stay.
See stars.
Everything was very nice. Air conditioning not working in upper room.
Get 3 standing fans to move around to create wind if one is sitting on the stoep or in the lounge. One aircon didn't want to work so Friday was difficult, but I repaired it and we slept well on Saturday night. Also very nice and will go again.
We enjoyed the presence of all kinds of animals around the house. Bob's presence made us feel safer. The noise due to construction activities in the area and traffic on Olifant Street was disturbing during weekdays but of course it is out of control of the owner.
The place was very nice, just a little disappointed that we had to bring our own toilet paper, towels, black bags, cleaning supplies. On the webpage it says that it includes satellite TV, but on the letter it says you have to bring your own decoder.
The accommodation was great, the house needs some maintenance, dishwasher and stove not in 100% working order. Some cupboard's doors are loose from hinges. The Jacuzzi was fun as well as the entertainment areas.
The house was very dirty and a dead mouse was found under the bed. Security 100%. Dishwasher stinks, a lot of cockroaches, railing a lot loin lamb, some of the beds broken. Repairs must be made.
A Peace Of Marloth is a lovely house to stay in. The rooms are very comfortable, the air conditioning and fans also of course help a lot in the heat of Marloth. The porch/hangout area is very nice. There is plenty of room for children to play, but they didn't exactly get out of the Jacuzzi. The kitchen has everything, even a dishwasher, which for me was the absolute icing on the cake! A definite recommendation for anyone wanting to visit Marloth!
Beautiful and equipped house with large outdoor living space that gives you the opportunity to enjoy nature. Enjoy unforgettable evenings around the bushveld fire. Bob is an asset. Will definitely use the house again. Thank you!
I am definitely going to make use of this house again.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Could hear the lions roar and saw several animals from our veranda.
We were 4 adults and 5 children. There was more than enough room in the house. The kids were all upstairs with their own bathroom, meaning us adults had privacy. The house was very clean and we lacked nothing. Bob was friendly and helpful and we had a nice chat with him. An extra bonus for us was the dishwasher! Thank you very much for a wonderful and relaxing visit.
Just wanted to say thank you very much. This is the best service ever, people go out of their way to make it comfortable for you. Als was in working order and the security guy was great. On Friday it rained and he immediately arranged for another braai so that we could braai under cover. Thank you Bok for everything and your kindness. Will go again.
Close access the Kruger Park and a place to simply stay and enjoy the bush in Marloth.
Were really surprised about the value for money we got. Clean, well equipped.
Everybody was so helpful, from LekkeSlaap to Bob (the security guard). I will always want to go and stay there. We had so much fun with the kids. The best part was the scorpions, I have never seen my wife running so fast! Can’t complain about anything. Just want to say thanks to all that assisted me with the arrangements on such a short notice.
We really enjoyed the week. Absolute plus point is the air conditioning especially in that part of the country. Just a few things I want to point out. The place is marketed with a Jacuzzi, the Jacuzzi was not in operation. We are not the first case either. We realize that it costs a lot of maintenance work but the proposal is not to market it as a unit with Jacuzzi. There were also some problems with the linen, we had no towels at all and one of the double beds did not have a fitted sheet and very few of the pillows had pillowcases. The best asset you have is your security guard, Bob. He sorts out anything from servants to water. Please never let him go. All in all it was a lovely week and an absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you very much.
We really enjoyed our stay. Would really make a difference if they can ad an air-con in the loft because the kids could not sleep (very hot). End up sleeping on the floor in our rooms. Of the 3 air-cons only 1 was working properly. Need industrial fan on the veranda. The thatched roof trap the heat.
Had a great time. We felt very safe with Bob (security guard) around.
The house and everything is nice but needs some upgrading. Unfortunately the Jacuzzi and the one fridge did not work and apparently the DStv decoder is out of date and therefore not working. So there is no Jacuzzi and no DStv. It wasn't very nice.
It was a pleasure staying there. Nice and quiet. Definitely going back again soon.
Excellent house. Will definitely go back again!
See the stars below.
The jacuzzi was not working.
Lovely house and Bob the security guard was very helpful. We brought our own DStv card but we couldn't get it up and running, also the hot tub was empty, and we had no way of getting it going either (which was disappointing). I feel guest should be informed that it is very isolated, as I have never been to Marloth I was scared of the snakes and scorpions (which made my stay a bit nerve wracking). However, the house had everything we needed, so all in all it was a good break, thanks. Xx
We had a great time at a wonderful lodge in Marloth. We will all visit again as soon as possible. Thanks Warren for a very nice visit!
Very good value for money. Helpfulness from owner, Warren, about the area and accommodation helped a lot. The reception by Bob to take us through everything after we arrived early was outstanding. The stay was too short!
Thank you for the lekker weekend it was so fantastic - we didnâ??t want to come home. We will definitely be coming back here! Thank you!
Our short stay was pleasant and peaceful, wish we had more time to explore more, so we will definitely return. As we arrived around the corner, there were 3 Giraffe greeting us on the road. Zebras and buck greeted us in the evening and morning at the house. Wonderful!!
They helped us out nicely when the zoo got our reservation wrong. The animals that come up to you for closer examination were a highlight for the children.
