If you don't have a reason to visit Clanwilliam, now you do: A State of Grace. The hostess is the best I have ever experienced. Everything was indeed perfect.
Jan and Chantal are an excellent host and hostess. Their welcome is cordial and warm. The house is neat and very clean with a beautiful view of the dam. The breakfast was top notch. We also got so much useful information from Chantal and Jan which helped us a lot with our further planning of visiting points. My wife Lottie and I were so grateful that we chose this guest house.
Excellent service and friendly hosts. Was very pleasant to be able to just relax and enjoy the quiet of village life. Only stayed one night on the way to Nieuwoudtville. Breakfast was delicious and dinner recommendation was excellent.

We chose A State Of Grace in Clanwilliam as a central spot to view the flowers. Jan and Chantal gave us a warm welcome. The accommodation is inviting and tasteful with everything you could possibly need. Sitting on their verandah in the evening watching the sunset over the Clanwilliam Dam was an unexpected highlight. Each morning we started our day with a wonderful breakfast and in the evening we prepared a simple dinner for ourselves in their well-equipped kitchen. Returning after a day's driving to all the luxuries plus an electric blanket was wonderful. A fire was lit for us in the lounge when it was cold and that was a treat. We definitely recommend this guesthouse and Jan and Chantal are great hosts.
Relax after a day on the motorcycle. The location of the guest house was perfect, against the Clanwilliam dam.
