A Stones Throw Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It was the most beautiful little cottage, clean, tidy and the most perfect host, always at the end of the phone if we had any queries. This was our first time travelling to South Africa and we felt very safe in the area, and it was ideally located. A Stones Throw Cottage was in a quiet location and only a 5-minute walk to the shops and beach. If you are looking to stay in Fish Hoek, I would highly recommend staying at A Stones Throw Cottage.

The place is beautifully furnished and has all the basic facilities. We arrived on Friday afternoon and saw the toilet's water rise after you flushed the toilet, but because it went down again afterwards, we thought maybe that's just how the toilet works. By 10 o'clock in the evening, however, the water would no longer go down and we realized that the toilet was blocked. We didn't want to bother the owner like that and I sent her a message the next morning. She called me afterwards and said that there was nothing wrong with the toilet and that it can only happen if you use too much toilet paper. I assured her that we hadn't and that we now had a problem that needed to be sorted out. She had all kinds of excuses about how busy she was and that it was too expensive to have a plumber come out on a Saturday. When we told her that we were paying for the accommodation and she would have to sort out the problem, she was still not happy to do anything about it. We four adults had to drive to the shopping center to use the toilet there. We even offered that we would try to fix the toilet ourselves if she would bring a plunger. She eventually had a plumber come and the toilet was back in working order by 3 pm. It felt like she was blaming us for the blocked toilet and she was in no way sympathetic to the dilemma. I'm just thankful that she finally sorted it out. We got off a wedding at about 11 o'clock the night before and my husband swapped the 2 vehicles because the other couple would be driving early the next morning. He was barely back in the apartment when she shouted through the wall that we had left the gate open. We did not feel welcome at all on her premises and would not recommend the place to stay at all.

House is equipped with everything you need and it's quiet and private and nice braai facilities. Bid close to all shops. We had a great time and would definitely like to stay there again. Thank you Noula.

A beautiful, clean and cosy little cottage in close proximity to the beach and amenities.

The apartment is very clearly recently built because all the interior equipment is modern and very neat finish. Very quiet and private. Five minutes drive to the beach.
