The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful, the resort has the most beautiful gardens and I must have walked for an hour looking at all the plants. It is definitely a privilege to be able to relax there. The accommodation is spotless, the staff are friendly and professional.
Check in and out was so quick and easy. The place is incredibly beautiful, neat and everything is together. It's safe, quiet and has the best swimming pool and play park for children.
I had a good stay, and would definitely call again, just wish they could have breakfast or a restaurant on site.
We were pleasantly surprised with Aan de Vliet. Very quiet for a large resort with a lot of guests. Everything is beautifully maintained and more than enough activities to keep the kids busy. We regret we were not there longer to take full advantage of it. The cottages are spacious and well equipped. And the babbling river offers extra tranquility.
We always have a great time here and enjoy the silence and nature. Our unit no. 31 along the river had some damage from the braai. I think it was because a tree that fell on the roof.
Stream unit accommodation was perfect for 2x people, all kitchen facilities were available. I would have liked a fan in the kitchen area as the humidity was very high during our stay. Also a note by the stove would be handy, to indicate that the gas bottle should be opened if the stove and hot water are needed - for those of us who don't use it at home. Perhaps the resort could provide a coffee bar with small snacks, this would generate extra income, not just with the candy shop.
An incredibly neat resort on the riverbank. The stay in rondavels, which are very well equipped, was really incredibly nice! There is unfortunately only 1 small mirror in the bathroom. As a woman, I would like to have a bigger mirror in the room. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area again.

The accommodation was very comfortable. The water in the shower and in the sink in the kitchen drains very slowly, so it's uncomfortable. There are also only 2 of everything in the kitchen, cutlery and plates etc., which can sometimes be a bit inconvenient. The braai outside is very rusty and needs attention. The main road to is full of potholes and very ugly. It would have been nice if we had been notified of this before our arrival so that we are aware of it.
Noisy neighbours until 1am. Why don't security do walkabouts? Tell people there is no coffee in the rooms.

Hidden gem for sure. Cute facilities and really well located. For a family with children it is great.
We only arrived at the resort after dark as the road from Sabie was closed. We were nevertheless warmly received and directed to our cabin without difficulty. The cabin is fully equipped, with everything you need. Even air conditioning with a heater. It's neat and safe and the rippling of the Sabie soothes you until you don't have a care left. In addition, we got a big discount on the accommodation through the website which made it a real bargain. We will stay there again in the future on our way to the Kruger National Park. I can even see it being worth it to sleep over here and enter the park as a day visitor.

The lapping of the river water is so calming right through the day. Good bed and kitchen well equipped. Beautiful gardens that are well maintained. Excellent security. One simply feels safe. The back up for loadshedding is a great plus! Will definitely come again.

River is a bonus. Will go back for sure! The whole resort is very neat! The gardens, the beautiful river and nature impressed me enormously. This is exactly what I needed. The chalet was very clean and tidy, spacious. The double bed mattress could be slightly better quality, but you can't really complain about it. No TV or WiFi, but that's probably why one prefers the resort, to get away from the screens (yes there is a TV in the main reception area). Maybe they can put some extra benches along the river. We did struggle with hot water, there is a problem with the gas geyser at our unit, we did manage with a bit of a struggle. They also gave the option to move us to a closer unit.
The bed is good and you can rest well after the long road or long day out in nature. Very quiet and neat resort. Swimming pool is okay and the necessary is there. Don't expect full holiday territory and I prefer it that way, because during the day the area offers much more to do and see.
It was an enjoyable getaway. The only recommendation would be that they keep more of the everyday necessities like bread, milk so you don't have to drive to town for it. Guests can also be warned that the road to get there has many potholes.
Our two young boys, 3 and 1 years old, absolutely loved the swimming pool and jungle gym. It would be nice if there was a restaurant as well.
Very neat and clean. May still need an aircon in unit. Beds were of the best quality of anywhere we have stayed. Swimming pool is really very nice and nice and children played at play area in the evening without it feeling unsafe. Would recommend to any person.
The climate was not suitable for me and it made me sick.
The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The fact that a generator switched on during load-shedding was the best. We were never without electricity and in that heat you need air conditioning.
Children really enjoyed it.
The kitchen sink has normal taps which prevent you from being able to fill the kettle, which is provided, there. The taps in the bathroom are better, but you still can't fill the kettle completely because you have to hold the kettle at an angle. The first morning there was no hot water because the gas geyser's batteries were too flat and had to be replaced.
We entered Phabeni gate every day and from there planned our routes to see the maximum of the wildlife park. I will definitely come again next year.

Our 3-day family vacation was amazing. Our family group of 28 people were all comfortable in our river unit chalets, the property is beautiful, the staff is amazing, customer service is phenomenal. We loved it. Will definitely come back and recommend friends and other family members to Aan de Vliet. One downfall is WiFi and TV, we thought it was too far to our units and chalets. If possible please can you work on the WiFi to be nearby. Overall we loved it and the kids were happy as well. Thank you Aan De Vliet. We had an amazing weekend.

Not happy with the manager there.
Our shower was stuck together with plaster. We are familiar with gas geysers, but the water was either cold or terribly hot. Furthermore they called us at 12 after our first night and said we only booked one river unit for one night and that we had to move to a garden unit. I refused, as no one helped us properly when we got there. The keys were in the doors and the room we went into was the one set up for 5 people which we assumed was for us. Then they said they were going to send the driver to me. They are fully booked and there are no other river units. I checked my reservation and I booked 2 river units (1 was for one night) and 3 garden units. So they put us in to give us 4 garden units (1 for one night) and 1 river unit.

Aan de Vliet is well located, 13 km from Kruger National Park, many attractions close to you. Only one problem, the beds are quite hard to sleep on, we're probably just not used to it. Units are serviced daily, pool water very nice, not too cold, overall very good time. Thank you.
Perfect honeymoon destination.
We really enjoyed our time at Aan de Vliet. Play area for the kids was fantastic. Gardens are well maintained and we heard the osprey every day. Just something to point out to future guests, no payments under R100 can be made on reception with your card.

Booked the place for my brother, his wife and 3 year old for their 5th wedding anniversary. They can't stop talking about the getaway, they really loved and enjoyed the place.
It was a pleasant getaway and it feels like a second home. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Safety is not an issue and the children can have fun playing in the play area.

The swimming and playing facilities at Aan De Vliet were exceptional and just what we needed to keep the little ones busy and help get rid of their excess energy.
The venue is situated very well to travel the surrounding areas, while on holiday. It is kept very neat and clean. Management must just please inspect the rooms after the customers leave. We lived in no 46. The stoop light was not working. That was reported to the reception, and that was fixed with 15 minutes. Thank you. The microwave only had three legs and should be fixed. Thank you. It was a very enjoyable stay. I will visit them again next year. Thank you.

We were there for a week and we had a great time. It was neat and very peaceful, we would go again anytime, very friendly and helpful staff. Beds are high quality units are neatly equipped with the essentials. A little bit of extra kitchen stuff will come in handy if you're staying a little longer than a day. I experienced loud TV noise from the neighbours. The place was dusty and dishes were not clean. I was promised a private braai area which I didn’t get. Overall it is a nice resort. Tranquil and beautiful.

We stayed on the bank of the river. This resort is exceptionally well maintained and we would go back any time. Pluses: parking right next to the chalet, no stairs, spacious chalet with full kitchen, full length mirrors in bedroom, air conditioning, braai area for each chalet, swimming pool, restaurant and Hazyview and the Phabeni gate of the Kruger Game Park just to name a few kilometers away.

Aan de Vliet is a beautiful, clean destination. It is slightly small, but quite adequate for a weekend. I would not have been able to stay longer with two little children. The play area was lovely and the kids enjoyed it very much. On the downside, the nearest Kruger Park gate is over an hour's drive away, and not a mere 20 km as advertised on the website. We booked and paid for a river chalet, but there was no river near our chalet. There might have been one in the summer months but I was terribly disappointed to look out on a dried-up riverbed. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful getaway.

It's a quiet place and lovely surroundings and everybody is very friendly. We did have a problem as the key was not the right one, but it was solved within a few minutes. Ordered food that was tasty. We have been there for the second time and hope to stay there in the future once more.

It needs attention here and there. The shower doesn't work well and the door to the stoep's lock was faulty so it locked us out and we had to get help from room 39.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The resort has a special atmosphere and the garden area and paving are also very neat. My wife and I will definitely make use of the resort again whenever we are visiting Kruger National Park as the Phabeni gate is only 19 km from the resort.
Felt somewhat restless in the caravan (we were the only ones there - middle of the week). The tarred road is in bad condition, especially if you're travelling with a caravan, although they did start fixing the holes. In general the stay was good with neat facilities.

Aan de Vliet is obviously being refurbished and our unit had a familiar, traditional rondawel feel but with a modern look and everything we could have needed for a self catering family break. The location is lovely and the staff friendly. The pool and kids playground offers something to do with the kids, as well as explore around the river. I don't know if we would stay there for more than a few days without day trips to break it up but with the Kruger Park and many other attractions nearby that is not a problem for the adventurous family looking for an affordable family trip. We will definitely be back.

Friendly service and good value for money. Maybe you should have a look at the gas pipes, the smell is quite overwhelming. Otherwise excellent value for money, neat, clean, well-equipped kichenette. My mother is wheel-chair bound and the chalet was very accessible, couldn't get chair to toilet though. (When I made the booking request I didn't specify rails in the bathroom though.)

The accommodation is very basic. Cockroaches everywhere. The beds are so hollow it feels as if you're sleeping in a canoe. The bath is very small and just half of a normal bath.
The water was cold. The shower curtain wasn't sufficient and the whole bathroom was wet. Beds were uncomfortable but clean.
It's a very nice resort. The surroundings are beautiful and the house was clean.
We booked 2 units together, and when we got there they were on opposite sides of the resort. Then they gave us keys for a diffierent unit closer to the one, but when we unlocked the door the other peoples' stuff was still in there! Then the excuse was that the 2 units right nest to ours had not been cleaned because no one was there to do it. No thanks, I won't book there again, I'd rahter keep driving to Graskop and find a place there.
A lovely resort on the banks of the Sabie river. We were lucky enough to have a river view unit and spent many a pleasant hour listening to the river whilst enjoying a cold drink on the stoep. Accommodation is clean, comfortable and very well situated being a mere 25 minutes' drive from the Kruger Park's Phabeni gate. Also only 10 kilometers from Hazyview with a plethora of shops supplying all that one needs for a fulfilling holiday experience. The quaint town of Sabie is also a mere 30 minutes' drive.

If you want to rest and recharge your batteries, Aan de Vliet is just the place. Enough space to walk and enjoy nature. I will definitely visit Aan de Vliet again.
The only downfall was there were no carpets in the bedroom, which made it seem cold. Over all its great place for self catering accommodation. It's near Kruger, Elephant Sanctuary and other adventure activities.

My elderly mother and I stayed here for a week. However, I would suggest that since there is no good radio reception, televisions are placed in the rondavels. You don't always feel like being around other people and necessarily watching TV with other people.
It was very nice! The grass could only have been cut shorter around the pool area.

It would be nice if there was another mirror besides the one in the bathroom. We enjoyed that there is no TV in the room, could rest and switch off.

The lady at the reception made us pay the balance on arrival regardless of that we were going to spend 2 nights at the resorts. She said she doesn't trust me. She wanted us to pay the key deposit which I asked her to show us where its written that we should pay it. In general I can say we were mistreated on our arrival.
Staff were uncooperative when we told them that the old rondavel didn't suit us, and when we requested to exchange to the newer part of the resort ─ despite our willingness to pay extra for the better accommodation. The old rondavel's air conditioning was out of order and wet the entire bed and all the towels. The staff did not want to provide us with fresh dry towels, and after a heated argument they reluctantly provided towels. Our group of 6 persons, 4 of which were overseas guests, were really so disappointed with the whole stay that I will never ever advise any person to support them.
Next time we would like to stay longer - so peaceful!

We really enjoyed our stay at Aan de Vliet. The facilities were adequate for us and it is very close to Phabeni Gate which made it very convenient for us to visit the Wildlife Park on two occasions as day visitors and see the Big 5 and much more wildlife. It is also close enough to visit the Panorama route and all the waterfalls, etc. to visit Graskop and surroundings. The tranquility of the river that flowed by right in front of our rondavel made it that much more enjoyable. We will visit you again in the future.
Aan de Vliet is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a chilled, affordable place to stay just outside of the Kruger.
The kids were entertained safe and enjoyed the facilities around. I loved my stay and will return here again.

Units are all self-catering with outdoor braai areas. Each bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet and all units have air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Kitchens are equipped with a gas stove, microwave oven and a fridge.
Other amenities at the resort include 2 swimming pools, a children's play area, picnic spots next to the Sabie River. Breakfast is available at an additional cost.
