Aan't See is exactly what the name says: At the sea. The view is unobstructed with no houses between Aan't See and the sea. The sea view is unbeatable. Parking is secure behind a locking gate and security is no problem. There is everything that is needed, exactly as it appears in the information about it. I really had a great time the one night I stayed there and can recommend it with great confidence.
The electric blankets were a win. It was quite chilly on a stormy wintery night. The wall heater didn't work too well.
I would definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends. I'm already planning my return visit.

The house is not suitable for people with mobility problems - there are a lot of stairs, and not for small children either. We were only there one night to visit Muisboskerm, but would easily stay longer. Nice barbecue, fireplace and on the sea. Need to pay more attention to load shedding and keep lights plugged in where necessary, you don't want to walk into a dark house and bathrooms need to be lit. Uncomfortable feeling with the broken door between the house and garage.

The apartment is nicely furnished and well equipped. The poor customer service stars are for the following reasons. About 40 km from our destination we called hostess x who was listed as our contact person to say we were on our way. The connection may have been weak but she told us to contact hostess z when we are ten minutes from our destination and call her and gave us the contact number. We did, but felt that the listed hostess could have contacted us well in advance to inform us that she would not be available and give us the alternative number. Second, 40 km from the destination means 20 minutes from arrival, why did we have to call again? Hostess x was able to make arrangements for us to be met on arrival. Coincidentally I saw there is a key deposit safe to leave the key on departure, we were not informed about it. Finally, we made a special quick drive to see the French women's tennis final on the advertised TV availability, only to be informed on arrival that the DSTV had broken down the night before. Not once during our stay were we contacted again to ask if we were OK now.

We could park both vehicled and 3 bicycles in the lock up garage. Close to Lamberts Bay for excellent meals. Pity that the Gannet viewing was closed for renovations. Very pleasant stay.

I made arrangements for the arrival time because we would not be able to be there at 19:00 and it was no problem. We were there with the key within minutes after I called to say we were there now. The place was painfully neat and clean. Would perhaps only suggest that there should also be a barbecue available.

Ticks all the boxes for security, parking, kitchen appliances etc and a great stay. I insisted visiting the area as I'd had a very memorable stay in Lamberts some 10 years ago. The town has not changed, however 'our fish restaurant' had closed, and the Muisbosskerm Restaurant on the beach had become very pricey.
Best view. Also saw whales. A. Jay's Fisheries is an absolute must in town. Lovely to hear and see the sea so close. Nice big windows.

This was a really great stay. Beautiful house and would be lovely to use with family and friends. Mobile phone reception on the ground floor level is not great but no problems on the first floor.

The location of the place is fantastic and we had a great stay. Just 2 things I want to mention. The refrigerator's freezer compartment was terribly frozen and not clean. The DSTV main decoder sits in the adjoining house. It doesn't work logistically at all. If they're off, yours is off too. If they go to bed at 21:00 your TV is also off. It was very frustrating! Sort it out and I can give 10/10.

It was definitely value for money and we would like to book there again in the future. A rubber broom might be handy to wipe rainwater off the porch. It rained both nights and the porch was wet all the time.

The house sits on the rocks so the view is 10/10. The kitchen had everything you need except matches/lighter for lighting the fire. There were enough towels/bedding and a fan and hairdryer in the room. Our feet were immediately dirty when we took off our shoes inside the house so I had to sweep the floors myself on Friday when we got there because it was full of sand/dust. The roof leaks into the kitchen when the upstairs sink is used. We had to put down a container to catch the water. The house/furniture is also much older than it is in the photos.
Leak through roof in kitchen and toilet tank is broken. But the owners pay attention and I will definitely stay there again.

Aan't See House and Apartment was the best sea stop we have ever had. The house has all amenities one can think of. It's comfortable, clean and tidy and the bed in the master bedroom ensures an excellent night's rest, even for people with back problems. The vehicle is parked inside a lock-up garage and access to the premises is via an electronic gate, it's safe. The best, most fantastic thing about the whole house is that it is literally a stone's throw from the sea where one can go sniffing for shells and simply climb from one rock to another. One can look out at the sea from all the rooms, both the rooms, the kitchen, the living area, the braai, inside and outside.

The little apartment was really very adequate for me and my husband. There is everything you need and also very safe with the alarm system if you were to go out and also your vehicle behind a gate. The view over and by the sea is a big plus. The fact that it is wheelchair friendly also gives you a chance to bring your elderly people who can no longer climb so many stairs. I definitely recommend the place for 2 people who want to have a nice stay.

I slept wonderfully every night with the sliding door open, because the safety net door that can lock makes it possible to leave the sliding glass door open. It is so nice to hear the sea through the night. Furthermore, a delicious barbecue with family who live on Lamberts Bay on Saturday afternoon on the stoep overlooking the beautiful sea. I just want to mention that the lock on the gate going out to sea does not want to open. Think the lock is rusted. Beautiful path that you can walk from home to the sea.
We really enjoyed it at the Aan't See Apartment. The location is excellent with a beautiful view of the sea. The bed sleeps incredibly well and we had enough blankets to keep us warm in the cold. There was everything we needed. It might just be good to keep a mop in the closet so that guests can keep the floor dry if the cape gets wet. I would recommend anyone to come and stay here and we will definitely be back.

Me, my husband and our 2 adult children stayed here for the weekend. The layout of the house is very good, and even though there were people in the Apartment, we were completely private. The house offers a lot of places to hang out - there are chairs on the porch and in front of the outdoor barbecue there is a nice dining table. The open-plan kitchen and dining room also has a very nice dining table. Chairs in living room sit very comfortably. My husband and I used the chairs in the master bedroom a lot, nice to sit your coffee or a drink there too and admire the ocean. I also have to mention the nicest mattress we've ever slept on! This house does not skimp on anything, the bedding is of very good quality, as are the towels! The dishwasher was a nice surprise - there is also a washing machine etc. in the large garage (for people going on holiday). It was also nice to be able to pull our car and bike into the garage. I can really highly recommend this house.

There may just be a shelf or 2 placed in the shower for putting down shower soap etc. Otherwise, als is always on the floor. Otherwise the place is 100%.

1. In a cold and wet winter month it is important to provide clean towels at least once in a period of three days. Our towels were later too damp to be functionally usable. 2. The braai for the apartment should be better protected. The bowl was full of water and it was difficult to get dry, and the grates were dirty and rusted.

Aan't See is a beautiful place. It is spacious, very clean, and has everything we could need. It is by the sea, and it was great to be able to hear the waves crashing against the rocks from the bed. Great experience. Clean good white linen and good cutlery. Tastefully furnished and feels like a real seaside home. Sea view from every room. Even though the wind was blowing, we were able to make a fire in the fireplace and watch the waves wrestle on our front porch. Aan't See House and Apartment is very well located on the rocks with the bluest waters and most beautiful sunsets. The late afternoon fog that moves in from the sea is also something special. So true West Coast. The house is excellently equipped with everything and even more than guests need. It's well looked after with good quality linen, furniture, dining and equipment. It almost feels like your own home. It's extremely quiet and safe. Here we could rest wonderfully. Even the town has its distinctive quiet peaceful character with much less wind than any other coastal towns further south. The trees grow upright here. Will definitely want to visit again next year.

The location is excellent. A negative note: the kitchen appliances were not cleaned. My wife had to clean the kettle before we could use it and the microwave was so dirty I didn't want to use it. The rest of the accommodation was very clean and tidy. The stoep's umbrella was also broken and we could not fully enjoy the stoep. Needs a little attention to general renovation, otherwise a very wonderful place to rest and relax.

Reception from Heidi was very friendly. Beautiful, modern apartment. It was lovely to sit on the veranda and look at the sea. The location is absolutely perfect. It is advertised as a one bedroom unit but I would describe it more as an open plan flat as the room does not have a door.

This is such a special house. Felt like my own home. Tasteful decor and lovely view of Maljop Bay's breakers and rocks. Would always be my first choice.
House not ready for guests. No instruction manual. Blinds missing. Sliding doors sandy. Unfortunately water cooker broken resulting in no electricity from plug-ins. However fixed within the hour.

A house by the sea, away from the city's noise, peaceful and relaxing
Toilet is too high, shower not acceptable, they need to modify the bathroom to make it a normal bathroom or else advertise it as a wheel chair room, they must choose, also there was excessive weeds around the place, they did remove them the 2nd day, but it's like they don't care, when we stopped my wife said I think we need to find another place because of the weeds outside, some maintenance is required. If I was to go to Lambert's Bay again I would not stay there again basically because of the bathroom.

We had a great rest, apartment is decently equipped, fair value for money. We are both above average height so the shower head sprayed me between the sheets, and the beds were shorter than we are used to. It would also be nice to maybe get a few packets of coffee and tea bags on arrival. But the location and view are fantastic.

My husband is disabled, so we looked for wheelchair-friendly accommodation, of which this was one in Lamberts Bay. Absolutely every little detail was there to make the stay even more enjoyable and comfortable. I have no words to describe our few days at Aan't See House and Apartment, it was perfect. Customer service by Juanita was excellent, we were struggling with the TV and she came late afternoon and sorted it out for us.
The location and view are unbeatable! We found the house very comfortable with all equipment required for entertaining. We will definitely stay here again!

Had a great stay and would love to stay in the house again and have already recommended it to people. They might just pay some attention to the maintenance. The 1 bathroom sink plug wouldn't open again after we closed it. My friend also struggled with the bathtub plug. The 1 coffee plunger was also completely unusable. But beyond that, we can't complain. The house was very clean and tidy.

The house was spacious enough. Had a comfortable fireplace inside and one outside. Kitchen lacked nothing. Bathrooms and bedrooms very comfortable and beautiful. After 3rd day linen was changed and house cleaned. House has beautiful views everywhere. We had a great time in Lambertsbaai and also ate well at different restaurants. Can recommend the town for vacation.
However in 2018 it is (almost) unacceptable that no WiFi is present, nor mentioned on booking site. Furthermore the following: The is an excellent and forthcoming manager and made us feel at home and welcome. Since there was no WiFi at the apartment we went each day to her location for WiFi. Each time we were met by a growling dog at the front door, whether door was open or not. At our departure day the dog tried to bite in my husbands foot! I am a client and do not want to be met by an animal which snarls and barks upon arrival or departure. There is something seriously wrong with the welcome by the manager through her dog. She should immediately take precautions and lock the dog up from costumers who approach the house for WiFi.
There were no cleaning services for the Sunday morning and no one to receive the keys on Monday, I had to go and deliver them. The one sheet was torn. It's a pity they don't have double beds. The place is neat, beautiful, clean and safe, but could be managed better.
The house was absolutely beautiful and furnished with more than we could ever need. It was like going to your own home. Everything was provided. And the view was absolutely delightful!

The location is ideal - place to rest.
From both rooms there are great views. The lounge area with the doors that open up and the blinds to close make the braai area amazing. The gate that opens to the sea side is good to for early morning walks. Had such a good time here, and the lady was so nice to us. Definitely will return.

The place is neat and spacious. The service was good and the staff could even do our washing and ironing on a Friday. Thank goodness for that! The house is nice and quiet to one side, but still close to the centre of town. A braai on the patio and a short walk to the rocks and ocean was a bonus. Wasn't difficult to reach Muisbosskerm from here. We will definitely come and stay here again. We only had some problems returning the keys when checking out.
We were kindly received and introduced to everything related to the unit. The unit met everything we needed - a built in braai / braai area like the main unit would have been a plus. The view and location are unbeatable.

Beautiful location. Juanita Birkholtz was available and sorted out any problems quickly and effectively. The stairs inside the house have no handrail and are definitely dangerous for older people. Some of the blinds cords were laced and the blinds could not be fully rolled up.
Enjoyed it a lot. Only wish I could have stayed there longer. Will definitely want to holiday there again, in the same house.
