Ansley received us very kindly and made us feel at home. He helped us with reataurant reservations and informed us about the area. Our room had a fantastic view. Place is well located, close to the beaches and quite close to the town. Breakfast was very nice and the reception area is very nice. Slightly on the expensive side, but definitely worth the money. Hope to be able to stay there again.
Abalone is a fantastic value for money 'top facility' in Hermanus. Brian and his team go out of their way to attend to every wish of their guests. Previously stayed in a more expensive hotel in Hermanus, but Abalone's 'sacrifice' is more than we expect from a stay in Hermanus. Brian and team, we will definitely see you again!

We had a wonderful stay in Abalone Lodge. We can really recommend it for people with a baby - the cabin is spacious enough for everything we drove with and a 'camping cot' is provided. The bathroom with a shower and a bath and nice surface to work on with the baby was very comfortable. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly and made us feel very much at home, even if we occasionally wanted to warm the bottle or baby food. The breakfast and the view from the windless veranda in the morning was the highlight and we still dream about it! We will definitely stay in Abalone Lodge again if we get the opportunity.
