My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary, it was so wonderful. Ria and Dries were incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We will visit there again.
Duncan and Marina make you feel so welcome, had such a great time. Rooms are super clean, comfortable and tidy. Fantastic breakfast is enjoyed around a cozy breakfast table. We made good friends around the barbecue fire. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to everyone.

We were looking for a big house for the wedding of one of our sons where the men could get dressed and everyone could be comfortable for the weekend. Definitely the right place for us. All our children with their spouses/partners each had their own comfortable room. Quality beds and bedding. Everything and more we needed. Very good host and his wife. We were 6 girls each with their own bathroom and it was fantastic, from the hospitality to the view the space, enough of everything! We were looking for a place to have a small, intimate wedding as a family during the Covid lockdown. Absolute Beach was perfect for this. Held the ceremony on the beach in front of the house. 100% romantic. Thanks.
We loved that each bedroom had an en-suite with stunning sea views. The kids could each have their own bedroom and didn't have to share. The tables inside and outside had more than enough settings, which is always a problem with our family group of 8. The two ovens were a bonus - it enabled us to go all out and have a fully cooked "boere" Sunday meal for Father's Day. Even the dishwasher was big enough. The interesting design of the house together with all the lovely artwork gave us a relaxed and homey feeling. We could sit on the balcony and watch the kids brave the cold water and play on the beach. We felt safe and will gladly recommend this place for a getaway.
The service and location are fantastic. We were sorry we didn't stay there longer. The peaceful environment and the setting are really to be recommended. The breakfast and all the facilities were very good. We will go there again for sure.
The house leaked like a sieve, we literally used all the pots and pans to sit under the water streams. Curtains and carpets in the master bedroom were wet - the dining room and all our food in the kitchen got wet. Stairs too and we were afraid we would fall on the wet inner stairs. Strange layout and many small rooms and doors that were locked. Alarm system could also do with renovation. Owners friendly and helpful.

Wow! From the get go we were welcomed with excitement and warmth. Duncan was an hoot to have around, was extremely helpful and always had some interesting stories and details to tell us. His knowledge about the area was a massive help as he knew all the 'good' spots. The room/house itself was well-equipped. Our room was clean, exquisitely decorated and had more than what we needed ─ it came with mosquito repellent, camper chairs, beach towels and sunblock. It also had a jar of delicious homemade and healthy rusks, as well as a tea/coffee station. Our breakfast was just as scrumptious and had a variety of elements like fruit, cereals, yogurt, bread, meats, preserves and cheeses. Absolute Beach is safe and is set in picture perfect St. Helena Bay. It's a short walk away from the quiet and clean beach and about a 10 minute drive to any form of civilisation like Spar, OK Foods, a pizza place etc. There are some restaurants a drive further on as well. If you're looking for a tranquil breakaway, this is definitely the place!

The owners of Absolute Beach make 100% sure that everything is perfection. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds comfortable. We had lovely weather and were able to swim in the crystal clear pool.

No specific complaints, but also nothing spectacular. We were welcomed in good style. The building in general is run down and in need of an upgrade. The room was clean with all basic necessities there. The breakfast was very ordinary. With our previous stay at Absolute Beach we were blown away. This time it was okay, but nothing more than that.

We visited them in July and it was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend them. The owner is very friendly and sincere. We were there for our wedding anniversary and in our room there was a bottle of sparkling wine and handwritten card waiting for us. We will definitely stay there again.

That's what makes Absolute Beach so remarkable: not only do you have the comfort and laid-back atmosphere of a beautiful guest house overlooking the blue waters of the Atlantic, but the isolation of Britannia Bay makes it even more special. Duncan and Marina are natural hosts and it doesn't take long to feel right at home, though the breathtaking views are enough to remind you every now-and-then that you are definitely on holiday. Give Langebaan, Saldanha (and even) Paternoster a skip next time, and rather stay at Absolute Beach for an unforgettable experience.
Attention to detail was evident throughout the home. There is a warm, homely atmosphere during breakfast. Marina and Ryan are an excellent example of hospitality. Will definitely go again.

Absolute Beach has that real beach house feel to it, I almost want to say it feels like a luxury backpackers lodge on the beach. The rooms have lovely sea views and are literally on the beach, everyone at Absolute Beach from staff to other guest had a very laid back and relaxed attitude, what a comfortable beach house retreat. And what a lovely stay I've had. It's a place for the young at heart or anyone with a bit of a 'hippie' or artistic soul. The layout of Absolute Beach and its rooms allows for mingling amongst guests but if that is not your thing then you don't have to mingle with anyone, anything goes at Absolute Beach. It is all about relaxation and the comfort of its guests. Britannia Bay, where Absolute Beach is situated, lacks that true West Coast charm and character you will find in Jacobsbay, Paternoster, Velddrif and Lambertsbay, but there is a lovely beach and coastline to enjoy and is in close proximity to all of the West Coast villages which you can go and explore on daily excursions. Absolute Beach gets thumbs up from me!

A good place however: no internet reception and cell phone signal weak, which makes it difficult to stay in touch with home. Also, no TV in lounge - only DVD's?

The house itself is a blend of stylish interiors and creature comforts. We offer 6 bedrooms each with a king or queen bed and their own en-suite bathrooms, making it easier to accommodate the requirements of your group. All of our rooms boast stunning sea views from their beds. All the bathrooms have a shower, but 3 of them also have a bath.
The communal lounge has a small kitchenette with cutlery and crockery, a fridge and microwave. We have a plunge pool, perfect for the warm summer days and a cosy firepot for the cooler winter months. There are two braai areas to choose from, which include braai grids, stands, and tongs.
Whether it be lounging on the beach, catching a wave, watching the whales jumping, or warming up next to a crackling fire, guests can unwind and discover the true magic of the South African West Coast.
